Hello, I'm new to XDA but i've read threads about rooting and such so it's not like I'm a complete moron. For my question is that i've seen some warnings about that owners of the G4 shouldn't flash xposed, due to the phone will be in a state of a bootloop. Is this solved or will we have to wait? I'd be happy to hear an explanation about why. Thanks for you taking your time and have a great day/night!
Been testing things. Might have something after Aug 2nd when a dev androidfreak35 will be back on it. I have tried many times without success. Patience will win out here. Good luck.
great prol

Ok, ok, ok.. So many of you are instantly going to jump on the new guy because this thread has probably been posted at least a million times today. Thing is, trying to find an explanation, an easy explanation, of how to root my HTC Hero G3, without using developers lingo is nigh on impossible. Would someone have mercy and please, for the sake of the Gods and my sanity.. HELP ME ROOT ME BLOODY PHONE??? Please
What do I need to download?
Can I still use the android operatin system after gaining root access or do I have to install a custom ROM?
Many many thanks in advance for any help or advice given.

Firstly its called the HTC Hero, the G2 is the T-Mobile branding not G3, why don't you go in the Hero section then the rom development sub forum, guides at the top in the wiki in plain english...
Advice appreciated man, I kinda thought I'd get someone telling me that. Thing is, I tried all three of the rooting guides up there and none of them work. Checked the USB Debugging box.. then windows searches for ADB, then my problems begin.
Hello guys! I just got my defy and it's really cool. I was reading the wiki to start customizing and rooting the phone but I am afraid to start because of luck of informations. I tried to search but everything became more complicated. lol. Though I am not new to this because I came from Galaxy Spica.
First of all, my device has blur_version.2.51.1.mb525.retail.en.it firmware. If anything goes wrong can I apply other roms found on the wiki?
Second, is there a different method of rooting my device which is an IT I suppose?
Thanks for giving your inputs in this thread. Many people who are about to mod their phone for the first time will make use of this thread.
Try the FAQ and info in Dev forum...
I, of course, searched around for the answer to these questions, but didn't find any - here or on the internet.
I spent a long time working on my custom theme/appearance, and have also considered rooting my phone (LG Optimus Sol) in order to be able to customize all aspects of it.
My questions:
1. Theme problem: Like I said, I spent quite a while on my theme, if I root my phone, will my theme and/or widgets be lost?
2. Rooting: I use Gingerbread as OS and would like to know which rooting program is better/safer: Gingerbreak or SuperOneClick?
3. Brick solution: I know the risks of rooting, and I would like to know if there is any chance to un-brick my Sol if the horrible thing happens.
I hope this thread doesn't get ignored. >.<
Have an awesome day.
Thank you in advance for the answers.

Hey guys, I'm here as a guest in your forums.
Maybe you've seen me in the Galaxy S5 forums or more recently in the OnePlus One forums, maybe not. Either way hello. So I know enough to get by as far as ADB, sideloading, rooting, loading ROMs, firmware, etc. Anyways, I don't know much about the ZF2 but his is in a bootloop and I need the fastest, easiest way to get it from bootloop with no bootloader on it whatsoever, to stock. So who's got the goods? I've recently downloaded the toolkit from the General forum, but it requires me to have a bootloader to access any functionality. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Never mind, I found some advice on the dev forum. Take it easy guys!

Hello all!
First of all, I want to say Merry Christmas to all that celebrate Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
Now onto the topic.
Of course, today is Christmas and I got a present...which it was this phone, the Galaxy A50!
First impressions...it's f****** big xDDD but also fast...very fast!
And of course the first thing I do is look up on the internet for specs (which I was very surprised!) and XDA. Since it is around 9-8 months old, I thought "Hmmm...let's see if anyone has done any work on this phone!" And I was surprised by how much stuff there is to download for this device! (compared to what I had before, the LG K10 and Q6)
Buuut(t), I don't know the requirements for installing that kind of stuff (custom ROMs and so on, you know what I mean!) on Samsungs. I know that on the K10 (I can do s*** on the Q6, as it isn't unlocked yet) you had to unlock the bootloader, then install the recovery which it was always from TWRP and the ROM after that.
So...where do I start from? Do I need to unlock something or I just go straight ahead and install the recovery?
Thanks in advance!
