I'm running on 5.0 (from LG PC Suite) and want to downgrade to KK can you guys help me? I just need what firmware should i download.

Im confused on what to download.
Model is D855 16gb
SW: v20f-ESA-XX
Country: Philippines
Btw, my phone is not locked to any carrier and if you need more details please let me know.

You can't root with LP (for now) and personally, i don't like the looks of LP that's why i want to root and try xmod.

Just make sure its for the 16gb variant and its from the same region
Usually if you flash firmwares from other regions theres always a ton of problems related to network signal, battery etc etc

So bricking is almost impossible? if that's only the problem when flashing, then that's good news!

Thanks for letting me know your opinion about LP... I'm in South Korea and I'm not looking forward to updating to LP just yet.. My carrier hasn't pushed out OTA update..Thank God..LOL! Hope you're back on KK and enjoying your rooted device :good:

You can try the CloudG3 rom, it's a V20F (Lollipop) and it's rooted.

Thanks bro but i want to try tweaks using stock rom. (downloading xposed and g3tweaksbox atm) but will try that in the future :good:

No problem, indeed I think xposed doesn't work on LL.

I updated to Lollipop using LG PC Suite and ran it Lollipop for a few days..
The most annoying issues for me were notification access.. I couldn't access the notifications with double tapping on them.. Always had to single tap and swipe.
The battery somehow drains a whole lot more when asleep.. I lost 10% overnight.. horrible!!!
I reverted to my last backup F400k10u by flashing the backup through TWRP. Back on KK and loving it !!! Lollipop sucks! :good:

i also did the same.. i updated thru PC Suite and yes, I'm not satisfied with LP. As if LG did rushed things just to boast that they're the "first" to release LP (except for Nexus phones though). I'm encountering force closes and lots of lag. I don't even see the difference between KK and LP, oh there's one thing... it became worst.. hahaha!
Good thing you're back on KK. I'm much more pleased with KK since i can do most of things i want i even messed my phone and did a factory reset. (forgot to backup my data LOL )

Does PingPongRoot support the recent update G920PVPU1AOE2? Didn't see it as a supported device on 5.1 beta page.

Currently the new update 'AOE2' is "in Queue" status at the bottom of the supported device list in the first post.
Yes I already told them about our new update and he said that they will work on it to support it so just be patient!

Yes they are working on it. I posted this when we were on OCF & it is supported lol.

AFAIK, the only way to get OTA updates again is to flash a stock rom... Which I guess doesn't trip knox.
You'll have to root again of course after that if you want it.
OE2 is now in the PingPong Root list of supported devices! I just successfully rooted my SM-G920P OE2. How can you tell if Knox has not been tripped?

no worries man, I was in the same boat yesterday, I asked but no one answered, but as said above, it is the beta 6 which already has the SuperSU built in :good:
I flashed the same version that worked on 11a... xposed-v74-sdk22-arm64... been bootlooping for about 45 minutes.... Long story short.... Had to Kdz. The most current xposed works great and is way faster.

Use xposed-v74-sdk22-arm64 xposed-v78-sdk22-arm64 Fortunately, v74 is not even in the thread I linked where you can get v78 .

Sorry, my error. I just checked my phone and I did use xposed-v78-sdk22-arm64 (do not use sdk23, I tried and it failed).
I followed instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/general/guide-install-xposed-verizon-g4-t3182267
except I used the xposed-v78-sdk22-arm64 zip file and again this is with VS986 13B.

hi all. just wondering if there is an autorec apk for lgg3 d852 on marshmellow yet. i cant seem to find one anywhere. just curious if i missed it or if it doesnt exist yet lol. i cant install twrp since i unrooted and did an ota update to marshmellow. ive re rooted with king in marshmellow but thats where im stuck.

doesn't exist yet. don't use the lollipop one but I'm sure you already know that. I got around it by downgrading to 20J with a Koodo KDZ that I saved and rooting then using lollipop autorec, then flashing TWRP 3.0.0-0 via image flash in TWRP recovery.

That´s good to hear. Mostly I tend to send out to people who are vicious to unbricking, wouldn´t be nice doing it otherwise. Mostly it´s secure but..better safe than sorry

Look on the main lg g4 thread in dev section. I tested twrp for sprint. Varient.
I have twrp on a spri t g4. And if ure on lolipop rooted and can set to permissive u can have it to. Hasnt been relased pu licly yet but very soon. Just head over and check it out
