I'm interested in changing navigation bar. But before I do , I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Will it work with any rom (included stock rooted) ?
How can I create custome nav bar myself ? :good:
You just have to swap out the images and you need to be rooted.
I dont know if non rooted can or not..maybe ninja morph or something like that. Its easy to do but if you make your own images just get the proper names for them or they wont work. themes section has plenty
As far as changing the images for back home and recents, that's not so bad, you just have to unzip SystemUI.apk and replace a few images. To get more custom stuff like the addition of soft keys and different types of soft keys, that requires some more difficult work as you have to edit xml files and stuff...
Hello,
The back button of my phone is broken and doesn't work anymore.
So I want to change the search key to be the back key and vice versa.
Can anyone provide me a flashable zip or is that impossible?
I don't really have the skills to pull it, edit the file and then push it back to my phone
I already tried the app button remapping but it doesn't seem to work.
.
Thanks in advance,
Rsdf430.
Go to system>usr>keylayout and modify bravo-keypad.kl as you wish. Root explorer recommended.
Reboot required
Could tell you...
Hello, are you using a custom ROM? or rooted?... I could tell you if you are using the same/similar ROM as I am...I think i had the option to change hardware keys.
Hey people,
How would I go about installing the XPOSED FRAMEWORK on my Sony Xperia M? I am on 4.3 15.4.A.9 or whatever it is. I have Titanium Backup Pro, have backed up. My boot loader is locked. I really can't afford for the device to brick/bootloop. Does anyone have a successful way? Because I want to tweak my System Bar as well...
Any help would be appreciated.
-cheesedude.
I've never had and problem with installing Xposed as you should do.
1) Install the Xposed .apk
2) Open Xposed and tap Framework
3) Make sure Installation Mode is on Classical (change it if it isn't)
4) Tap Install/Update, let the framework install.
5) Reboot
Latest version of xposed framework.
Hi. This actually is my first post, so Yay.
I rooted my phone using adb fastboot thing and I installed xposed. And now, I don't know what I've done, but I'm not able to install any module. In fact, no apks either.. Any help appreciated!

Reflash the stock firmware, and root again, according to your bootloader status.

My bootloader is unlocked. Where do I get the stock firmware? Has this happened to anyone?

Never happened to me before. All I did (locked bootloader) is to have full root, install Xposed Installer, install the framework, reboot, install any module, then activate and reboot. Never had any issues.

Change of plans ;P
I actually want to flash a custom rom, but I'm not able to decide, because of the large variety.. Please give me some links, guys? I'm sorry for troubling you; I feel like a pain in the neck..
EDIT : if what I just said was absolutely irrelevant to the topic, please shoot me :\

Hey man,I don't think you need a custom rom,I've done everything I want without downloading a custom rom, however before doing anything make sure you have full root (the ability to edit system files not just view them), if you don't have full root anything you do will get your phone to reboot and fc,,
First of all I have cwm, deodoxed rom, unlocked bl but I mainly use them.to install mods like the m2 systemui but I think there's a way for locked bootloader and odexed by using flash gordon or something like that (the method is explained in the mod's thread).
Moreover is this my phones systemui, I've installed xposed without any problems
1. Download xposed installer
2. Pressed classic install
3. Rebooted my phone
4. Download 4 main mods
A. Gem xperia xposed
Using it for: the transparent status and navigation bar, the menu mod, the extra hidden apps button, the kitkat thing when you open an app and the navigation and status bar gets shaddy
B. Tinted status bar
C. Advanced power menu
To add a reboot button
D. Im really sorry I've forgotten its name but it's used for changing the navigation bar icons but I Uninstalled it for a simple reason, in stock xperia icons in opera mini a 4th button is added and it's hidden in other apps, but while using this mod I had to show the 4th (menu) button all the time
Ps: I dont reboot after modding systemui or luncher I simply restart it
If you like what I've done ill post the method for using gem xperia and tinted status bar
Sorry I forgot to attach these Images, this is the final result
If I helped you don't forget to press the thanks button
Thanks, all of you! I'll try redoing this after my exams...

Before doing anything
-download the ftf file of the latest software for your phone
-install flashtool and drivers.
-Enable USB debugging and
-backup your phone (a normal backup no need for root apps and all that stuff)
-Learn how to flash an ftf
If you have an unlocked bootloader all you need is cwm and a nandroid backup and of course flashtool in case anything got wrong and you messed the kernel
Don't worry, I bricked my phone many times
Okay guys, I realised what the problem was. I was using a Screen Filter, so I wasn't able to install anything. In case anyone else comes with this problem, make sure you pause the filter or blacklist the package installer (most filter apps do this on their own; mine apparently didn't :\).
Gem xperia xposed

hey there,
i installed the xposed framework as u have mentioned but i am able to see only few changes , i have downloaded an apk frm this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-android-l-theme-t2803003
and i am unable to see changed navigation bars , the remaining are gud. what should i do? do u have any info that could help.
i have used others modules of android L frm XDA but even they didnt change the navigation bars.
i just want to change my NAv bars. what to do?
thnx:good::good::good:
I tried xposed and fell the phone choppier so dont want to deal with it. Im rooted and twrp. Any zip or buildpro to disable it. I search and couldnt find anything other than people recomending gravitybox or similar modules to remove it. I actually did partially remove it with Nova launcher,. Which has a setting if u are rooted it does remove the clock but only in home screen. Thanx
Get a ROM that has this functionality built in ...
Don't know what went wrong in your case, but simply flashing Xposed without modules doesn't change anything and Xposed alone can't cause issues.

Grab systemUI.apk , decompile it and make changes to statusbar.xml and similar, recompile it and push back.
This is the way around xposed.
Alrighty thanx. I gave xposed another tried after clean install and is good now. The first time everything got choppy was with installing android nify. Everything was choppy even after uninstalling it. I didnt this time and all goood
