Hello,
I am Dibyasan, I am a YU yureka user and recently i started learning about android platform and I am using my yureka to learn. I am using YU Yureka Kitkat 4.4.4 rooted and CWM Recovery Installed. I have some confusion regarding the update. Scenario Details:
My phone recieved the incremental OTA update(sim functionality and proximity fix) after rooting but i didn't yet updated or installed the update. The questions that I need some answers immediately are:
Should I flash the CM12 (5.0.2) update manually or over OTA?
Can I be able to flash the official Lollipop Rom (CM12) with my phone being rooted and running CWM recovery?
Is the ROM released is stable?
Some Experience about the phone:
After rooting I am using android tuner app to learn the system tweaks. And changing some governors helped me gain some battery juice when i needed it the most(Underclocking) . But theres a little issue i found recently after rooting whenever i connect the mobile data and simultaneously listen to some music on play i hear some crackling sounds both on external speaker and headset. Everything else is flawless.
120fps video recording would be icing on the cake
Why thinking of updating :
I think updating the system might fix the issue i mentioned above.
Expecting some help from you all guys. If I should update manually, a guide would be most appreciated. although I have a rough idea of flashing but i don't want to end up bricking the phone. So Guys Please help me ASAP.
Thanks In Advance

Well from what I've been reading the 4.4.2 update came a big jump in audio for the nexus 5. But what I'm curious about is that I think the drivers for Viper Audio are conflicting somehow with the 4.4.2 update. I've done every possible thing I can think of,read of, etc etc. I've had success on 4.4 and 4.4.1 ROMs without fail installing the viper drivers but 4.4.2 says no no fool I don't like those. I'm using the latest 2.3.1.5 version of viper but no success with either 2.3.1.3 or 2.3.1.5. If anybody has had success with it by messing with the viper settings please help! :crying:

Viper seems to be doing fine on 4.4.2 and I use Spotify and Google Play Music. Maybe your S2 doesn't like you?
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie to the community of everything rooting and post rooting. I have recently rooted my N7 2013 running 4.2.2 and flashed TWRP recovery/SuperUser by Chainfire/AOSP PA 4Beta ROM.
While I now understands how to update the ROM and how to get out of a bootloop and other similar rooting circumstances, I need help understanding the procedures involved in the below scenario :-
Should Android get an incremental or a major update,
1. Should I first update the Stock ROM followed by reflashing the custom ROM or just wait for the custom ROM to release their compatible update?
2. Should the Superuser have an update, that does have to be updated from Play Store or the update needs to be flashed? Also, does TWRP needs to be updated if there's an update because I have heard that some ROMs are compatible with recoveries from a specific versions? Is this true?
3. Is updating radios really necessary? Will updating the radios cause it to malfunction? What is the procedure if this needs to be done?
4. What do I do if I wish to chuck the custom ROM and return to stock ROM or what is called un-rooting?
If there's something I missed out on asking but needs to be done, please point me in that direction as well!
Thanks
Regards
Karthik

Hey guys!
So I have my Xperia M currently running on stock firmware 4.3. Although I am happy with the current firmware with the exception of the low internal storage problem but everything needs to be updated regularly
I joined XDA for the very reason so as to flash a custom ROM for my XM but trust me when I say that you are dealing with a complete noob who is just lost in all the jargon associated with flashing a custom ROM. It means that I will be in need of a detailed guide to help me boot my very first custom firmware :3
Here are some details -
Running stock 4.3 firmware
XM single sim
Bootloader can be unlocked (Need a tutorial to unlock bootloader too)
Device not rooted.
Can anybody help me with this? I'll be happy to read out any existing tutorial threads as such
I was also worried about the storgae limitation within the XM, anyway to bypass it by installing CM12? Also what process do you follow when you take a backup of your device while installing a new firmware?
I am just looking for a stable and beautiful firmware for my aging XM :fingers-crossed:
Thank you for reading!

Yeah it's better than not being able to experience Lollipop on XM
How's your experience with the new CM12?
Lollipop being the number one thing, the second is the battery life:

Well the battery might be pretty bad for you to comment like this
So I shouldn't flash it then?
Can anyone please help me regarding this? :crying::crying:
So I have used almost 5 custom ROMs after going through the cm12 update but none of the ROMs have fixed a very minor bug....the bug is any html5 video player through any browser buffers like crazy.... This did not happen with kitkat. Now some people will say that I should get a better internet connection, but I already have a 16mbps connection and things worked fine in kitakat.
Now I need some help and hopefully someone here will be able to help me with my issuee
I am currently running RR ROM and would like to return to cm12 so that I can return to kitkat by the guide provided in the forum. Problem is I can't find flashable cm12 files that I can flash through recovery. I don't want to use fastboot method. So if someone could please guide me to the link of the cm12 stock recovery and flashable zip of the ROM I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance!
Ahem... read the stickies.

There are 4 versions, which one should I use? Also are they flashable through a custom recovery over a 5.1.1 custom rom?
If your primary goal is to downgrade to KitKat, then follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/general/guide-downgrading-to-kitkat-t3097176
Thanks man....idk if it works directly from 5.1.1 or will I have yo downgrade to 12s but thanks for helping me out. I can't find the thnks button tho....where is it?
Currently i am using UHD 5.0.1 ROM but the phone after so many time started to lag again, So i was thinking it's time for a change? i heard CM 12 is using lolipop but my question is: WIll i be able to download newer apps from playstore which are not available with my current version (ICS) and if you can give me some links because the forum is HUGE! and what i need to do to intall it except from rooting my device
Thank you in advance
