I have been always a fan of HTC sense though I never owned a HTC device. I was able to install HTC sense Home for non htc devices. But HTC recently updates the new Dot View feature in HTC devices. Wondering if someone can port the Dot view apk for all android devices. Thanks in advance.

I was using HTC 826's dot case.
Please let know if someone has ported this app. Really want to have it on non HTC device.

Does anyone know ow to disable htc sense on disire.
I hva esearched and googled it and the method they show is for a pre-released desire.
I want to make the desire look like the nexus one. just for simplicity.
Download Helixlauncher 2 from the market place and home switcher, install them, if you want to switch between one to the other you can with home switcher..

Most people think "Sense UI" is the reason to buy a Desire rather than a Nexus One.

It doesn't work with the final rom of the desire, when you try it just reboots sense ui now, helixlauncher works.

HelixLauncher works a treat, I can still access Sense and also have the simplicity of like bare rom function.

im just wondering why can't i download more skins or scenes on my HTC One V?
I went to customize section-> Skins -> Getmore and then it told me that there's no skin to show and refresh again. something like that.
how do i get more skins ?

For me, there are only three available.
yes i know that. but theres a get more button on the right top which u actually can get more skins. but whenever i go to get more it always says that no content to show

I think "more skin" is not available in your country... uhhhmmm... I mean, in our country
Have to wait until HTC make new skin available. Hope it soon.

Hi I know this is a little off topic, but I've been endlessly searching to figure this out, I just noticed the other day that my Google search widget was no longer the white/gray material style n went back to the trans KK style, and well, YOUR the 1st person I've seen that has this as well. Did it just happen for u all of a sudden 1 day as well?? I'm on a VZW M7, and vzw still has us on KK 4.4.3, so I thought it May have something to do with that, but now seeing your m9 with it as well, not sure lol

Our phone does not have magnet in it make dot view case work
It's a stupid move by hTC; they put the app in their update, occupying the internal memory of the device, then when you open it, it says DotView doesn't work on this device. WTF

I have the official HTC flip case for the phone. The case wakes/puts the phone to sleep when you open/close the case.
whenever I remove the HTC Dot View app that function doesn't work anymore. It's pretty stupid

I have same issue, when I freeze Dot View my Flip Cover didn't work but after unfreeze Dot View now it works fine.Our Flip Case has magnet in upper right portion.I think our device may also have magnet that's why this flip cover works.But doesn't know for Dot View how it works.

There isn't an official Dot View case for the HTC Desire 816. However, there is case that looks like a Dot View case but I haven't tried it. I have the official flip case which wakes the phone and puts it to sleep by opening and closing the case and that function won't work without the Dot View app so it may be capable.

There is no official dot view case for our phones and the app doesn't even work on the Desire 816.

This is a very sad news, the play store reports that the HTC Internet Browser will be removed on November 30. This has been my internet Browser since always and I can't believe it's going away. It was the best. It seems that HTC it's so money lacking right now that it's basically removing all the sense applications that has made HTC famous. The HTC 10 has basically google stock interface. It's a great shame, this way they will never re-gain their market share. They cannot sell a top phone with android stock interface.

Well that is a Google phone, HTC doesn't even have a mark on that. Who wants stock Android should buy Google phones, if I buy an HTC I would like to see something different

But I 'l get over it. I m using my Moto X Play as guinea pig to change the ROMS . So far I m having fun
Getting to understand the dialect and function. It's a fun challenge for sure.

You can install it on HTC 10.... That's why I posted you the link. You can't install it from Playstore. Apkmirror will have the latest version.
Both CM (LOS) and Sense htc10 this works on.
Anyway it really is a shame that the HTC 10 is a wonderful device at hardware level but it doesn't have all the magic of HTC sense Software anymore, they are in financial crisis and they are basically killing off the sense. This way they won't get better, no one wants to buy an expensive HTC device with Android stock interface...

My apology , I was on Maggoo mode I guess. I will work my way towards Lineage instead. I have "Ginea pig" my Moto X with CM13 and I love it. No more google invasion !! Just bare minimum.

No apology necessary. It's unfortunate how they block our devices from downloading the applications from Playstore. I was able to fix an issue with a FC on Sense but it wasn't anything that made it unusable, just when trying to set a background in Themes App, it would FC, but that's fixed. On LOS the one and only issue is unable to set your User picture, not anything to worry about. I set it with another gallery app and then all good to go.
LOS ROMs are running great, I suggest Ressurection Remix personally, has the most customization. Offers great support, runs smooth, and battery is very good. Only thing is no Advanced Calling (on all LOS ROMs) but maybe that will come with time.
