No idea about your phone's bluetooth turning on by itself, but if it's off, I don't know how a bluetooth device could make your phone activate it.
The bluetooth on the watch can be turned off by using airplane mode, but of course this also disables wifi. So your watch won't receive any data.
Being able to turn off bluetooth while leaving wifi on would be a good option, but you can't. When on wifi, the watch keeps trying to find the original bluetooth connection.

If you put it in to Airplane mode then reenable WiFi it'll keep the WiFi on while leaving the bluetooth disabled

Good information, and quite unintuitive. I'll have to try that out for battery life.
I think you already got the answer. Here is the user guide for Sony Smart Watch 3. I hope you will find it help you.

I'm on wicked jb 2.1 stock CPU clock. My last phone would auto connect Bluetooth to my car stereo. When I got the S3 I realized now I have to go into Bluetooth settings and connect manually every time. After the initial connection it will reconnect, until I turn off Bluetooth then next time I have to manually connect. The pairing it's saved but I need to click to connect where before with every other phone it disconnects as long as it's paired and Bluetooth is on.
no one else is having this problem?

You mentioned this thread in my thread but I thought I would just reply here.
My problem is different then yours. On my phone, when it doesn't connect I can get it working again by just cycling BT off then on again. For some reason this only happens with the music mode, it connects for phone just fine.

yea mine works 100% It just wont autoconnect unless its already been connected manually by me. For example in the morning get in the truck turn on bluetooth and nothing, click settings>bluetooth>tap my stereo and bam works like a charm...stop at convenience store real quick, get back in, bluetooth autoconnects (it wasn't turned off for the short stop) get to work turn off bluetooth, next time I get it I have to reconnect manually....
I'm used to it always connecting as long as BT is on.
Hi,
I want to keep BT enabled on my SGS7 but also I no need to have watch connected all the time (annoying notifications). For example, I am at home and I need BT to control light in room but I no need phone to be connected with Huawei watch. How to disconnect watch (temporary) but keep BT enabled?
P.S I don't want to unpair watch because I need to quick connect after I leave house (manualy).
I used to use Secure Settings in a Tasker profile to disconnect my watch while on a phone call and reconnect when the call was over. You could probably do the same thing based on your location (at home or away).

My focus isn't automatic switching, but keeping BT enabled while watch is disconnected. I want to manualy connect/disconnect watch. There must be native option for that, but I can't find.
Now it works like this:
I enable BT on my phone -> Huawei watch connect to phone automaticly.
And I want:
I enable BT on phone -> watch stay disconnected. I manualy connect watch with phone when I need, and disconnect when I no need watch anymore. So I can use phone BT to do other things.
I've never done it, but Tasker can create a widget that would let you run the toggle profile manually.

Android Wear app on phone.
Gear symbol upper right
Touch :"HUAWEI WATCH connected"
Toggle "Connected" slider off
That leave phone BT on and does not require repairing watch, just slide it back on and the watch reconnects.

That's it! Thank you so much!
I can see this discussion has come up many times before but never seem to have a fix, atleast i cant find one. my s20 ultra unlocked android 11 when i connect to my cars bluetooth radio works fine. but when i turn off the car and turn it back on it wont reconnect. i go into bluetooth settings and click connect but says im unable to. so i a, stuck having to unpair and factory resetting my car radio and having to re add my phone for it to work. i have tried factory resetting my phone. changing bluetooth avrcp version from 1.6 to 1.4. i also enabled "turn off A2DP hardware offload" as other forums have stated to try but none worked. anyone know a fix or if it also happens to them? so frustrating. thanks in advance.
Old school easy way...
If the car audio doesn't draw too much current at idle hot switch it and put a Battery Buddy on the battery to switch it off if it gets too low.
The problem is likely on the car side as Samsung bt devices seamlessly reconnects. No idea how though... fortunately I never had to hunt that down.

Make sure power management isn't active on the phone. It maybe auto enabled either globally or for bt. It maybe a Samsung bt settings issue; Samsung is notorious for hidden menus, sometimes completely unmarked... start tapping on things
Play with it... you'll sort it out.
Hey everyone.
This is my first android headunit, Xtrons PQS1053BL with Android 10.0 for my BMW E53.
2 issues I have and I am wonderring if its just how these units normally operate, could be changed in settings, or they are faults in the unit I have.
1. The Wifi. I have a 4g usb data dongle pluggeed in for the wifi, it works fine when connected, but every time I turn the car off and the unit reboots or goes to sleep, the wifi turns off and needs to be restarted in settings. If I look in settings the wifi is actually switched off after sleep or reboot. Sometimes when I am drving the wifi will just switch off to, not lose connection, just switch off.
I would have thought just like a phone or laptop, the wifi would just be on and autoconnect from boot? Is this normal or a fault or am I missing somthing in the settings? I have spent a lot of time in the settings and also trying to google to issue. Would be great to have a wifi always on option.
2. If I have been listening to the radio or bluetooth audio when I turn the car off, it will always boot to this app first. This is an issue as I am running Ibus-app and I need this to boot first so the functions will work when I start the car. Even if I have another app in the foreground running while radio is going, it will always select the radio or BT audio as prioity on boot instead of the app I was using .
Is there a way I can stop the unit from booting to its last state? just so its a fresh boot each time?
I cant find a setting for this either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
If I have been listening to the radio or bluetooth audio when I turn the car off, it will always boot to this app first.i love this radilo in the song.
I'm on miui 13 and I have annoying issues, the device's bluetooth which unable to auto connect with car's head unit. The only way out is to unpair then pair them again. That being said, if bluetooth turned off, it can auto connect as long as car's engine still on. That did not happen to miui 12.5 which rapidly auto-connect. Anybody has any idea how to fix this?
BMW NBT?
I also have this problem. With iphone works properly.
I managed to get it fixed by putting the car audio in bluetooth connection mode, go to bluetooth app then toggle allow fullscreen app. In connect state it will disconnect then reconnect. In our case, it'll force connect to nearby previously connected device. That leaves another issue, which is media info won't update. So we kinda stuck with first song info or podcast title, then it won't refresh. Probably due to xiaomi policy to limit data transfer or simply unresolved bug. Luckily I have Samsung device which I use most of the time in this regard.
