Can sameone tell me the right settings for Spirit FM for stereo radio. Now i can only listen to channels by my headphones, but i know we have hardware stereo supporting radio.
I had watched video in youtube, but can't post it here, because i don't have 10 posts. It's russian, i followed the steps, but it didn't help me. So where did i go wrong? Does the version of the app have something common with the stereo?
I found the solution - the stereo radio doesn't work with custom headphones. When I plug the stock ones it magically start working.
The settings I'm using are -
Band - 50 KHz
Audio:
Method-Galaxy S3/Note/S2_ICS
Output - Speaker
Channels - Stereo
Volume Scale - 100
UI:
RDS - On
Debug:
FM Chip - BCM 433x/207xx

I am having problems hearing the GPS instructions, is there any way I can increase the volume of the loudspeaker even more? Currently I set the volume to max but its still not clear at all.
connect HD to your car's hifi - via Bluetooth, FM transmitter, on audio line connection.
Is there an easier way like changing registry keys or installing some cab files to boost the volume? Pardon my ignorance, its a new sound system for me, and I am not familiar with audio system in general... Btw, will I still be able to listen to radio or cd if I change the source for the hifi to the HD?
[APP]
Where is the app you created?
I thought [APP] means application related thread? Sorry, I am still very new to this forum...
Do you use a bluetooth headset?
If yes you could probably use the app listed in this thread.
I find it useful since it pushes the voice instructions straight to my bluetooth headset while I can still play my music in the car.
Hope it helps!
On the site of HD Tweak, you can download a light or full volume boost:

Hi guys, I've always notice serious volume issues with the FM radio for the desire. I was hoping on 2.2 sense it would be resolved but sadly it has not.
Its really strange the music player volume is great at max volume its to loud if anything, yet on the FM radio at max volume I cant walk by a road and hear it clearly over the noise of just the passing cars.
I was sat on a but and trying to listen to the radio 1 this morning in the UK and I couldn't make out the speech over the noise of the engine. I ended up swapping to the music player be cause it was the same on all the radio stations.
So does any one know if its possible some how to mod the FM radio to increase its volume?
As far as I know the FM volume is tied to the signal strength.
So it means that if the signal is low and/or the antenna is bad the volume and quality is bad.
The Desire like most other phones use the 3.5mm jack cord as antenna.
I'm not sure if this will work... but try adding an extension cord to the headphone jack.
Or try moving the cord to a better position, like you adjust a old TV antenna for better reception.
Its strange though I've tried that with little effect, when I've been testing the signal indicators are always at max, and other radio's get very good reception in the area. So I don't think this really is a antenna issue.
It could just be my phone, I don't know if its a fault but if say I had the same song playing on the FM radio and then listened to the same song via the stock music player both with the volume set to max the volume of the stock player would be at least double that of the the FM radio.
I was wondering more if there was some form of amplification/gain mod possible. Just like how there were kernel mods to increase the volume of the standard media player. I tried these at the time and stock player was louder but the FM radio didn't change, so im guessing the FM radio application does not follow those gain settings. It may not be possible because I think what could be needed is modification of the FM radio binaries which I think are closed source.
Any solution to this issue? I am having the very same problem one year later on my Desire S.

I've discovered that many of the Qualcomm SOCs contain a PGA (Programmable Gain Amplifier) on the Aux/Line In ports commonly used for FM analog audio.
Sometimes the default gain is too low, or too high for FM. One device was too loud on FM so I added a Volume Scale setting to my FM app. But that only reduces volume (from the FM chip) and can't be used to raise it.
There are some Ioctls or whatever on at least some devices that could be used to change the gain. So it's possible... I may look more deeply into this at some point.
Currently when I try and listen to the FM radio over bluetooth as soon as I plug in the headphones to act as the antenna the radio swithces to the headphones. Is there any way that an app or mod can be made to enable the radio to play over bluetooth?
thank

I have tried every configuration imaginable on this i68 octacore android box I have running spmc latest version and cannot get it to produce sound out my .1 (woofer). I get sound out of all five channels but nothing to the sub. And when I have it configured where the sub does get a signal (the light turns green) I get no sound period out of any speakers including the sub. I have tried everything audio passthrough iec, raw, set to 5.1 channels, set to 2 channels, ac3 capable receiver, dts capable receiever .......... mash head on keyboard on and on. The only option I have not tried is enabling audio dsp processing (which is what I think will fix this) but it will not allow me to enable this, it says that I need a dsp addon to use audio digital signal processing. I've looked everywhere and have seen no audio dsp addons. I've also read that they do not any audio dsp addons for android based devices. Can anyone help? All my other devices work fine with my receiver and fiber optic cabls such as my dish network cable box.
Friends, I have a problem - FM radio (RN 8pro) When I plug in the headphones (as an antenna) - the headphones play stereo. But when I use BT headphones, the phone sends only a mono signal to the headphones. (If I use Xiaomi mi max2 then everything is OK - same procedure - same headphones). Internet radio and players in BT headphones are stereo. In both cases, the headphones are like an antenna in the mobile
So I did the factory settings and then wipe, unfortunately FM radio when playing bluethooth playing mono. Perhaps some update will fix what you have RN8pro really plays in bt headphones stereo? Easy test, play the same station as internet radio and then fm.
Sorry for bad English, maybe you will understand the problem.
There is a setting for bluetooth audio to use mono in accessibility options. See there if that option is turned on.
The problem is that only FM radio over BT plays mono. Other players, youtube, play stereo. The problem will be the transmission of the stereo signal to BT from the FM radio. Everything is OK with MI MAX 2
RN8pro + headphones (antenna) FM radio- BT headphones - MONO,
MI max 2 + headphones (antenna) FM radio- BT headphones - stereo,
at identical settings and apk FM version
