you want just a wall charger?
Then you want at least 2amp. These work good as wall chargers:
Price: $10.98

These ones takes about here are amazing. I ended up buying 6 about 2 years a go. My go to high quality from black berry

Thx but bought already the one from RAVpower via amazon
2A Hudl charger with USB lead and car charger from Tesco 12 quid.
The original LG wall charger that came with the nexus 5 has printed on it that the output is 5.0v=1.2a and it charges very fast.
So,if the nexus 5 is designed to be charged at 1.2a it would seem to be dangerous or harmful to use a 2amp charger.

Hey just so I recently got my GNex but the seller didn't supply me with the original charger and my HTC one and Verizon one fit very lose on the port. So after some time on Google search finally found what looks like the real thing off of Amazon. From the unboxings I've seen they look just like the real thing and it fits a lot better too.
Here are some pictures of them as well as a link to Amazon only ten dollars shipped. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...5AH3_4?ie=UTF8&m=ALV6DBOZR5AH3&n=&s=&v=glance
Took 4 or 3 days to get here.

They also send a little flash light/laser pointer thing.
I'm happy with it. The cable is the same size as the original one that comes in the box with the GNex so is short not any longer.
I just wanted to share in case you guys were looking for one like I was.

I was in the market for a new charger but settled for a blackberry charger for its 6ft cord. It charges slightly slower but I'd rather have a longer cord than a faster charge time.

Yeah the Verizon one I have is six feet but slow charge. This one is a 1a so the charging should be the same as the one in the box with the GNex. So the specs and everything match perfectly to the original one which is why I got it.

OK, so I bought this car charger, and it has 2 USB ports on it, A and B. A charges at 1.0a, and 5w. B port charges at 0.5a, and 2.5w. My phone has some charging issues where it uses too much power. My phone only works in port B, and lately I have to reboot my phone to get that to work. I was wondering if I could get port A to work with my phone? I know it works because my dad has the Note 2 and it works in port A. Thanks in advance.
First off this belongs in GNex accessories. Second there's no reason your phone isn't charging at 1A if everything is working correctly. Sounds like some kind of grounding issue.
Sorry if it didn't sound right in the post, I meant that my nexus isn't even picking up port A. And yeah I think my nexus has some problems, I was using my dads note 2 charger which puts out 2 A, and my phone was discharging. I don't have insurance, so I don't think I can get it fixed.

Chargers do not ”put out” amperage. The amperage drawn is determined by the device itself. Even though the charger is rated at 2 amps, the phone will only draw about 1 amp.

Just looking around and I found my s4 charger to have an output of 2A and my GNex has a 0.7A
Is there a way to see the amp going in to the phone? I bought a random eBay chargers as well and I want to test the power going in so I know which ones to keep and which to give away to people as spares.
Battery Monitor Widget Pro from Google Play. Works perfectly. I caution buying "random" chargers from ebay.. seeing more and more people with exploding batteries and charger ports being fried. Just use caution.

The one by 3c so the first one. And I get ones that match the output of the home charger or a couple of ahma (milliamps) less. Then it requires you to use the stock cable

The "Nexus Charging Accessory" is the same included in the "Nexus Wireless Charger"?
Hi,
I was looking for the new Nexus Charging Accessory that cost 15€.

So i want to ask, does anyone know if the 1st item is completely included in the second one?
In that case i think i will just buy the 2nd one.
AFAIK, the micro USB port is faster than the Wireless charging port, that's why i also want the 1st item.
They're both 9W 1.8A AC adapters so even if they're not exactly the same in appearence or whatever, they should perform the same.
@D3_
Thanks for answer.
If both chargers performs exactly the same with the N5,
Then I'm going to go for the wireless one. And use the micro USB when I need a faster charge.

The wireless charger actually charges really quickly. I've laid my phone down on it and went and took a shower and whatnot ~1 hour or so and it'll go from 30% to like 70%. Obviously my counts are accurate since I don't know exact times.
Hello all,
I bought an external portable Aukey battery that was working fine until I don't know what happened...
This is the model I'm talking about:

When I plug it to my phone, it starts to charge, and then stops. I have 3 identical devices, and they all do the same thing. I have changed the USB cable, same story.
If I plug my phone to another QC3 charger, portable or electrical, it works. But not with this device.
It used to work some weeks ago, and then I upgraded the firmware from B03 to B08. I haven't used them since.
Anyone noticed something like that? No problem with external chargers?
Thanx for your thoughts
Funny.
I've ordered that portable charger but i had to send it back because it wasn't working just like yours.
The charger works for 5 seconds and them it stops working.
Tested 3 different cables - got the same result.
My phone has B08 firmware.
Using the Aukey charger with another phone that doesn't have quick charge, it works OK.
I have another older portable charger (doesn't have quick charge) and it works fine with the Axon 7.
I've ordered another portable battery with quick charge 3 from another manufacturer.
I'll post my results here when i receive it.
Thanks.
Maybe this quick charge issue will be solved in Nougat firmware...
I'm sorry for the late response but only today i received a new power bank, after 2 different orders.
I've bought a BlitzWolf BW-P4 and this power bank works great!
Fast charging works as advertised and has a small profile with 5200mAh.
You can find this power bank here:
http://www.blitzwolf.com/Qualcomm-Certified-BlitzWolf-BW-P4-5200mAh-Quick-Charge-3.0-Power-Bank-p-136.html
I'm very pleased with this one.
