My situation is different from everyone's so i figured i'd share this with you all. I accidently turned off OEM Unlocker/USB Debugging in developer options and when i start my phone i'm completely locked out I CAN get into download mode but CANT flash anything at because the bootloader is locked. So im just writing this to let all you (Sprint Galaxy S6 G920P owners) not to do this unless u want a really expensive high end paperweight.... i can't flash anything because the bootloader is locked...... :crying::crying::crying:

I just had the same problem. I ended up re-flashing the stock OF7 tarball in Odin.
OF7 tallball
What is "OF7 tallball".
Where can i find that.
My phone is: G920T.
what is that, i want to know too
I am having the same Issue with the G920T, did anyone find a solution for it?
Having tbe same exact problem as the OP. Everthing I flash through ODIN fails. Even flashing stock 5.1.1 OF7 fails. I believe it's because I was on OGA so I have to wait until the tarball for that comes out I guess.
I had this problem yesterday. The way I fixed it was to flash the F8 bootloader, and then I could get the unroot rom to load.
Maybe a fluke, but that is what I did to fix mine.
Now I am unable to unlock it. I tried ChainFire CF-Auto-root and TWRP - both give the custom recovery is blocked. Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks.

I did that but it takes my info then pops back up with the verify screen I know I'm entering the correct info because I try a wrong pw and it says check pw. Has anyone else had it basically got back to verify gmail account ? also if you look in google at linked devices it shows tha last activity of you signing in? I hope I don't have a $600 paperweight!

I have the same exact problem with my Sprint S6.
I have tried all possible stock Firmwares :
G920PVPU1AOCF
G920PVPU1AOE2
G920PVPU2BOF7
G920PVPU2BOH1
None of them workes. any idea, please keep update.
I got this same exact problem yesterday on my SM-G920P as well. Been up all night trying to figure it out, has anyone found a solution to this?
Just got mine working again Apparently the original firmware I had on my phone was "G920PVPU3BOI1" so I just downloaded and flashed that in Odin and it flashed without the "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock" error I kept on usually getting. So for anybody with this problem, if you are unsure which firmware you originally had on your phone before the brick, just try to flash all the possible ones via Odin until one works
How to find proper firmware while bricked.

I suppose you flashed a ROM after you repartitioned your device.
Which one?
Also can you post screenshots to see what you mean?

I flashed the .pit file with official firmware from sammobile.com the flashed unofficial CM11 nightly.
I am unable to provide a screen shot of the actual device due to the live demo unit displaying at first startup. I have googled an image but of a different device to give you an idea.
Thanks again
Try the Samsung KIes emergency firmware recovery tool

I don't know about that, but I have read in the forum about Knox resetting about a procedure that a guy used to restore his soft bricked phone. He states that "I used the Samsung KIes emergency firmware recovery tool!".
If flashing the Stock ROM via Odin didn't do your thing perhaps the mentioned procedure will. The tricky part is that "... it wants you to report a few numbers under the battery". Perhaps it's the Serial Number which you can get without removing the battery.
Perhaps what applied to Knox resetting will apply to your issue too. Let me know how it goes.

That doesn't fix issues for those of us that need to have the full stock firmware to re-Odin with. Guess those of us in the same boat wait a week or so. My problem was removing the knox files with root explorer. Bad move. Makes the phone unbootable. Called Samsung tech support and they confirmed that. Rooting no problem. Recovery screen totally blank. Never get to see the the white/green screen some say they have for a recovery screen. The magic use volume up keys 7 times etc I have seen posted don't work for me. Samsung specifically told me the stock firmware is proprietary, so they wouldn't give it to me. I can wait a week or so for developers to get their hands on appropriate files, including a custom recovery that actually works...like good old TWRP :victory:

have you tried to flash the S6 file? not the S6 edge but the S6. Try to get yourself in download mode and do that. Make sure you are using the correct odin. That is what happened to me and I was able to obtain ROOT.
If you can get into download mode, you can now use Kies to install the stock firmware. Just did it about 3 mins ago.

I used Kies to restore the Firmware. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the Firmware file on my computer (Or could not figure out how to use it). I did see a temp file that was the correct size, but it's name and extension were wrong. I tried to open the file using 7-Zip and WinRar, but neither would open it. At that point, I just allowed Kies to do it's job, and it worked well. Removed ROOT and am now running Stock Firmware and Stock Recovery. KNOX is still tripped, but I don't care at this point.
In Kies, use the option: "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization". You will need your Model Name and Serial Number. Found on the box or in Settings if you can get there. I've got a T-Mobile Edge, so my Model Name is SM-G925T. Your serial will be unique.

I deleted via root explorer a slew of knox fies. Samsung told me by doing this, it renders the phone non bootable. That is why I need a full stock firmware tar file I can use in Odin, to flash the original complete firmware for my 925 Edge.Removing root, re-rooting, will not help. Chainfire said that SamMobile rleased the firmware files but all I get is web page not available. Grrrrr. Really wish someone would post the file in the Development sections or at least provide a working link.

I had also removed all of the KNOX files, and most of the Samsung Files trying to get close to AOSP, but it became unstable. Kies re-installed the COMPLETE firmware again and all the stock files returned. I don't mean it removed ROOT only, it flashed the complete firmware. Kies uses ODIN internally to do the flash.

Okay I was able to find a workaround on how to restore my phone through Kies without getting an error.
do the following: 1) open Kies, click on tools, Firmware upgrade and initialisation, enter your model number and serial number and let it download the firmware, after an hour or so depending on your connection speed the firmware will be downloaded and your phone will reboot into recovery to install the firmware. done

That's exactly what I was saying to do a few posts back. Did it yesterday and it worked fine.
EDIT: I'm going to run through it again and see if I can find the downloaded file. I believe I found it last time, but it was not a TAR file, rather a temp file specific to MY phone. But I'll try again, and if I get it, will post it here.

No problem, as long as we all get there at some point. The temp file that Kies downloads is called tmpE635.tmp It ends up being about 1.6GB in size. I tried to open it using 7-Zip and WinRar, but neither will open it. I'll post it in case anyone wants to try using it in ODIN. I don't know if it is specific to MY phone, or the T-Mobile S6 Edge in general (SM-G295T).
But, honestly, I would suggest you use Kies yourself so you are positive to get the correct file. You WILL get the error message that says Kies does not support your phone, just ignore that and keep going.
Phone Serial Number
I just realized that the Serial Number Kies is asking for is not on my Box. It's in the settings/about/status menu, and also on a sticker that is stuck to the Plastic Wrap that was around the phone in the box. Looks sort of like this: R58G31D1PBA. So, if you cannot get into your settings, or don't have that plastic, I'm not positive how you will get it to start the download. Maybe if you just use someone elses serial number, that will start the download???
EDIT: Link to the Temp File from Kies (not sure you'll be able to do anything with it)

Ok, so the samsung kies did not fix my Note 4 (SM-N910A).
I did find this:
http://androidromupdate.com/att-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910a-stock-firmware
downloaded the 5.1.1 package which contains, not just the AP file, but the BL, CP, and the CSC... ALL 4 Must be flashed with Odin 3.09, at the same time.
My phone is now working again.

Hi, I'm in the soft-brick syndrome.
This is my first go at rooting my phone (SM-N910A) - at least i was smart enough to try it after i upgraded
anyhoo, i researched and read. i installed my usb drivers, odin, and downloaded the suggested firmware. i couldn't talk between my computer and phone; so, i tried kingroot - big mistake. it failed in the middle and now i'm getting a startup error that says secure fail: kernel, then the blah, blah, blah go to AT&T store blah blah blah.... error.
i finally was able to reinstall the usb drivers and believe that odin can talk to my phone, but i receive a fail message when i try to install the firmware.
what to do? please help.

hey pal im in the sameboat ,and like you i also made the fatal mistake of using kingroot. only cause i used it on SM-E700M and worked fine so i tried it on the note 4 and now i have no clue what to do next should i try to re root it again or maybe try to install the lolipop system it came with or do i try to upgrade or maybe try and install original firmware i can really use your advice what do you think?
no progress yet. i tried loading 5.1.1 and the original version (4.4.x ... whatever it was). both failed. i think that i might be approaching the issue incorrectly.
i think that i might have rooted the phone but tripped knox - when i startup i see in icon of a padlock that's open and it says custom underneath. but i get the error stating about non-standard software installed. i'm going to continue to research and see if i can figure out how to reset / remove knox.
i saw that there was someone who went back to ATT to have them reset the phone ... does anyone know whether they'll do it? at least i could have the phone at a "ready" state to try again ... after more research and prep. ;- )
not real progress, but...
i researched some more and feel as if i made some progress with odin3v1.85.
i followed directions from this article: How to Unroot / Unbrick Balaxy Note 4 (i found on the androidrootz site - sorry, i'm not allowed to post a url yet)
so, i'm still bricked, but this process was able to communicate with my phone and reported that flashing the firmware was successful.
incremental progress ... maybe ...
my solution
while i would have preferred to be able to figure it out, i couldn't.
i took the phone to AT&T today and they re-imaged it. all is clear and it's back to factory settings - no cost.

Unfortunatly, once you are on 5.1.1 there is no downgrading back to 4.4.4. Many have tried, non have suceeded. Am I saying it is impossible, I do not believe anything is impossible, but right now we do not have the right tools. Take care.
Yah. I tried had to reinstall the 5.1.1 firmware again. 17step procedure is a lil more than im capable of. Think the note 4 is getting sold. Moto x pure or another nexus. Thanks you guys on here it's where I got the firmware.

Isn't there a recovery mode in the SS software that allows the firmware to be reflashed?

That was my plan ...however they do not support this model number yet so its not available to be reflashed. I checked sammobile as well figuring I could download firmware and use Odin to reflash and same situation.
There's a chance the sm-t377R4 firmware may flash as it's practically identical to the sprint firmware just a different csc.
Okay....will try and find that one.
Hi, I had a question. The Samsung Tab E is my first android device (I am a IOS user, so i know how to Jailbreak, but I don't know how to root!). My friend told me to root it, but I don't really know how to do it. Can you post a step by step tutorial. Also, after i rooted can i update my device to a newer version or do i have to remove the root. Lastly, how do you back up your device? Thank you! I appreciate your hard work!

You can follow the tutorial below, it's for the Tab A but the procedure is identical.
Obviously don't use the cf_autoroot file in the tutorial use the one here. Also note the PDA button in Odin is now called AP.

You can update your device with odin anytime you want but not via ota.
To back up you device you need to install TWRP.
Search Google for info on using TWRP.

I tried the t377R4 firmware that didn't work. Any idea on where I could track down a copy of the t377p? Odd I can't even use the Samsung Smart Switch or even Kies as it doesn't recognize the model number. Or if anyone has a backup available they can share please let me know.
I have a US Cellular Samsung Tab E SM-T377R4 and I rooted it using the procedure below. The root process went fine and everything is working well except Recovery Mode does not work. It just boots to a black blank screen when I try to go to Recovery Mode. But that's no big deal to me.

Surprised recovery doesn't work, considering the 2 devices are identical specs.
Try installing Twrp, you'll probably find that works OK.

Same problem here... I've been looking all over for a copy of the SM-T377P stock ROM. Anyone that happens to have a copy/link for it please share.

What's the issue?
Rooting gone bad... Rooted my SM-T377P with KingRoot and there is an FRP Lock that comes up a week later. All of the custom ROM versions I have keep getting rejected by ODIN every time I try to flash them. The only other way I can think of doing this is to flash the stock ROM for the device.

You realise you can't flash a custom rom with odin?
Also when you flash the stock t377r4 firmware what part fails?
The aboot fails every time I try to flash it
Stock Firmware:
A105FDDU1ASC2
Combination Firmware:
FA90 A105FXXU1ASB6
Extract the firmware with 7zip
Use odin to flash it as per normal
Cool... Thanks man...
what is a combination firmware
How about A105g/ds?

Hi. I have the metro pcs variant 10e. Our oem unlocking in developer options has been hidden/disabled/missing. Is the a10f the same as far as my metro variant? Also when trying to get into bootloader mode the phone vibrated and a little yellow exclamation ! symbol appeared at bottom of my screen right above the charging port. What was that exactly? This is my 1st A series device

even if its the same you cant unlock the bl or root as its a usa variant and its not allowed.
the yellow symbol you see is normal.. its an indicator for the charging i believe to indicate slow charging for example

you do know flashing combo firmware now requires factory approval in the form of a token right?

I don't really follow Samsung much anymore, when this was posted the phone was new and I had access to both and both firmwares weren't available anywhere so I posted it in case it would help someone.

I have metro ASK4 firmware currently on phone. I found official ASK1 4 file firmware . When trying to downgrade I get SHA256 error. So locked bootloader prevents it? Cant even downgrade. What can I look into as far as changing property values sys.oem_unlock_allowed 1 temporarily if anything? I do apologize if my questions annoy the more experienced members. I used adb shell setprop and it added it but theres 2. One with 0 and one with 1

That's because you spelled it wrong bro lol.. it also doesn't do anything unfortunately and reverts after you reboot the device.
You cannot downgrade.. most time even on unlocked bl's downgrading is not allowed.
If you mean you found a lower firmware on same rev that's a different story. You get sha error because you need a modified odin that has the sha checks disabled.. or you can use something like chimera tool
timba123 said:
Lol I see my spelling error now. I think I was really burned out trying to learn and figure out stuff. Is there any decent links on how to patch SHA256? I tried many web searches and little results

huh? thats not useful at all lol.. theres already pstched odins all over the internet.. it doesnt patch the firmware, it patches odin software so it ignores the sha256 altogether
timba123 said:
Yes there are many patched Odin's but not a patched 3.14 version. My device will not work with any odin lower than 3.14

i forgot lol.. i also have an a10e but i use chimera tool and it works fine and no sha checks if u select that ootion

Unfortunately I cant afford any tool like that. I've tried crack versions that dont require box or card but none of them are current cracks.

it does/doesnrt.. u cant just flash combo firm to the device, it also has nothing to do with odin or chimera.. samsung implemented security so combo firm cannot b flashed unless you have a token for it.. without it u can only flash stock firmware.. if u got acombo token tho then yes, chimera at that point could flash combo no problem
