[Q]T3-D5103 flash T2 Ultra soft - Sony Xperia T3

Hi,
Can we (T3 users) flash T2 Ultra Sony's stock rom from tft? Has anyone tried it? Both phones have the same SoC. Sony does not say anything about update T3 to 5.0/5.1.1 . I can't flash custom rom 5.0 or higher because I had a Orange branded phone (locked bootloader; "Bootloader unlock allowed: No") only tft can resolve problem with newer soft.

It doesn't work. After flashing it the phone doesn't boot from what I remember.

Did you unbrick it? Tell how you do it.

I didn't flash anything, it was someone else from the forums who tried it.

It'll not gonna work... But if u can port for T3 it may boot but still u face some major bugs

Firstly can you tell me where you bought your device from and if it was brand new or used.
Apart from that the answer is that the difference between a locked and unlocked bootloader is a locked bootloader doesn't give you the ability to root your android device or install custom roms(custom android versions) while on the other hand, if you have a unlocked bootloader you are able to root, install custom roms and basically just modify your android phone. Although there are catches of unlocking the bootloader such as:
You will loose DRM content
You will loose some fuctionalities of your phone that are carrier specific
You will not be able to PROPERLY re-lock the bootloader in case you are thinking of doing that it is possible but you still cannot recover the lost DRM content
You will loose the ability to do FOTA(firmware-over-the-air)upgrades.
That is basically what you will not be able to do.
Although, in my opinion i recommend not unlocking the bootloader yet because the stock android on the phone is brilliant as well as that in the beginnig of April we will be getting the ICS update for our phones which would include nice features like face unlock improved camera app and other major changes which will be good. So i think it is better to wait till then rather than jumping the ship
If you were wondering it is safe to sim unlock your phone(if its locked to a specific network) since you will not loose any functionality of your device. I recommend rooting only if you are going to overclock your device or don't like how it runs if that's not the case then i don't think you should.
You don't need to unlock the bootloader to root your phone and rooting it has no effect on whether you can upgrade or not. If you don't root it you're very limited in what you can tweak and virtually everything on this forum relies on it.
Unlocking the bootloader is only necessary to change roms to cm7, miui etc

[Q] Failed to unlock bootloader

Hi guys,
I've tried everything, but after successful root I can't unlock bootloader and flash recovery mode. Fastboot is also not running. The stock ROM is awfully slow and I wanted to flash a new one... That is what I see when I enter the service menu (see the attachment) :/
Please, help :c
Xperia S LT26i (2012, I think)
Its just not allowed to unlock your bootloader.
Nothing more to say.
Send thanks to Orange, where you device is from.
You may try other ROMs based on stock one, but optimized. As said above you can't do anything about it. I would suggest you to update the phone to a new one with unlocked bootloader, SXS too old nowdays with it's S3 CPU.

Sony Xperia T3 " D5106" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone PLEASE help me. I have the T3 D5106. I have it rooted ( Thanks to all the good folk here on XDA), I am Bootloader unlocked. I cannot find a compatible recovery for my phone. I see the D5102 and D5103, but Philz says his recoveries are for these phones only. what recovery can I flash to my phone? I have looked for the past 3 weeks, with no success at all. I would appreciate anyone showing what recovery I can flash to my phone.
and a download location.
Please help
Found it
Well with all the non-help. I finally broke down and tried Philz recovery for the D5103. Works great.
How did you unlock the bootloader? Under configuration, mine says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No

Flash Oreo: to stupid to do it myself

Hey! Trying to get anything above or equal to Android 7.0 on one of the devices below:
Samsung S4 Mini I9195
Sony Z1 Compact (carrier locked), says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
Sony Z3 D6603
TWRP is only available for S4 Mini. Flashed with Odin but hasn't worked (the recovery screen is still the same). Tried two custom ROMs (lineage-14.1-20180624-nightly-serranoltexx-signed, aokp_serranoltexx_oreo__2019-04-13_2102), but they are zip files, not MD5 as Odin expects for AP flash so I can't fins a way to flash via Odin.
As I understand, Z1 Compact is out of the question, but if there is a way to flash it, that would be nice.
For Z3 I have successfully unlock the bootloader with fastboot via USB but Flashtool does not find my device and it's not in the list either (D66XX).
I'd appreciate any help on flashing any of the devices above (one is enough) since I have no more ideas to continue.
As far as the samsung, you usually need a "patched" Odin to flash anything not samsung-official (I found one on xda, but i no longer use windows so the details are foggy).
The sony Z3 is a Qualcomm, not MTK, so sp-flash-tool will just look at you like you're stupid, but there are several QC flashers, idk bout sony-specific. Fastboot should still work if you managed to unlock it, though. I love fastboot. Simple, reliable, no-fuss.
