Perfecto.......

I know this literally JUST got released lol.... but is it possible (maybe in v2 or something) that we can get ItsON 100% removed (like HERE) and get RAM Management fixes built into the ROM as well?! Thanks to the OP, finally a ROM for us!!!!!! :good:
EDIT: Also THIS would be sickk to include as well
Here are the RAM Management fixes for 5.1.1 in build.prop (thanks to @mikeyinid)

just re-rooted and flashed this. Thanks again!

Knew that wouldn't work haha... you have to modify tw-framework and framework-res I believe, at least it was like that for the S5.

Can this be dirty flashed over OF7?

I'm on stock rooted OFE. I messed up my wifi toggle by trying to restore wifi access points. Would dirty flashing this (without the kernel) fix my issue without having to wipe data? Would I only need to flash the system files? I know I'm being lazy I just don't think the Samsung settings I have will transfer with only making a titanium backup. Plus everything works great now but the WiFi. I don't want to fix one thing to break another

[Q]How do I get back stock recovery?

Ok so I'm getting annoyed with the OTA update messages and useless downloading. From what I've read and confirmed, I need a stock recovery to do this but I'm not sure how to get that back as I'm running TWRP. I've heard of people havinf root survive with this update so I'm pretty confident things won't screw up.

Why do you want to do an ota?
Just disable it and youll be golden.
Have you seen this sticky?
Tons of great info guides roms etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987541
If you really must go back to stock just for that silly ota you can do it via odin or click the link in my signature (web view only sorry ) or look for my guide in q&a.
Both will put you back to a stock recovery my way which is really just instructions for efr, will garauntee you a normal status.
Usually any thing in the ota os already covered by all the great roms we have!
Gl!
Edit: to disable ota you need TiBu and just disable or "freeze" everything at&t and the "fw updater". I cant remember specifacaly what they are called because mine our gone thanks to my awesome rom.
Dony delete, freeze only.
Or.... install a nice rom free of bloat ware!

^^^ what twanskys204 recommended in Post#2 ^^^ did you try that? CF Auto-Root will only update the subinary.. install the supersu apk... and flash the stock recovery to the recovery partition.. it will not overwrite your rom (/system or /data partitions) or your modem partition. The only thing is will "rewrite" is the recovery (which you want as it's the stock recovery) and the supersu root. Flashing this will increment the flash counter... but yours is already past "0" since you stated you have TWRP recovery. Besides, you can use TriangeAway app to return flash counter to zero if it's a concern.

[ROM] [4.4.4] [GPE] [6-26-2014] Stock ROM

Bone stock google play edition ROM with stock kernel. (NOT ROOTED)
Only two changes from stock:
1 Fixed security settings and VPN by deleting a keystore lib.
2 Edited platform.xml to allow apps to write to external SD.
@dandroid13 used to release stock GPE ROMs in i9505 forums but since has not done 4.4.3 or 4.4.4, I am doing it here.
I9505 users, please flash a different kernel.
ATT users, the ROM is NOT Loki'd. PLEASE FLASH LOKI-DOKI AFTER FLASHING THIS ROM.
What I did: Repacked @SamuriHL's 4.4.3 Odin tar into a flashable stock 4.4.3 ROM and flashed it. Then made the 4.4.3-4.4.4 OTA zip flashable by modifying the updater script in it. Then flashed the OTA and then pulled the system, fixed the aforementioned bugs and packaged it into a ROM.
Credits:
@SamuriHL for 4.4.3 Odin tar
@Danvdh for updater script and binary
@broodplank1337 for init.d
Enjoy and this is my first ROM release so please be nice

Did not work for me. Also my custom recovery was lost after the flash. I had to towel root to get root access. Still unsure how to regain my custom recovery because whenever i try to install it, I get a message saying the system software isn't supported by AT&T. I don't know what to do. I have this Google Play Rom and root but no recovery.
Also my cell signal got noticeably worse after getting this Rom

Are you sure you flashed the zip in the OP? This ROM (any version) does not touch the recovery at all.
Anyways, if you want to get your custom recovery back, very carefully follow the instructions here:
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/174
You will need to install a terminal emulator app to do this.
This will give you a working TWRP V2.7.1.0. Then, you can flash your favorite recovery from TWRP
Root works
I just downloaded and flashed the ROM and root works perfectly fine for me.
Thanks for the link to get back my recovery. Weird how this ROM didn't work for me. Glad the guy above me had no issues. Someone at my work was complaining about their AT&T signal today, saying hers also got worse within the last two days. So maybe it wasn't the ROM that caused my weakened signal. I downloaded it two days ago, so I had to assume the issue was the ROM.
Thanks again!
I've been running the rom since he uploaded it and it has been running fine ever since. battery life is great also.

OTA update! [SOLVED]

Hello guys,
today a new update appeared in my phone. It was a 107mb file for compatibility with gear and some stability updates(I though i did that update in the past). So I tried to install this. I downloaded but when the phone rebooted and started to install this it stack at 25% and error screen appeard. So I tried to install this from kies but kies says that I'm up to date. What's the problem? I have Belgian official firmware 4.4.2 kitkat rooted with xposed installed.

I had the 'modified operating system' thing too.But i installed wanam xsposed and it has an option to check for 'fake' status. Now its official and i can get the updates. But the problem is that the update stops at 25%.Maybe it searching for an app that i deleted?Because i have deleted all the bloatware of samsung.Somenone can help?
EDIT:Kies today found the update. But the file is not 107mb like OTA is 800+.Why?
So my question now is if i do the update(via Kies3-the 800mb file) i will lose root?
So i did the update with kies.My data was not erased but i lost root. Now towerlroor say device currently not supported. So now how to root my s4 mini without tripping the knox bit?

There is work around for that. First you must flash stock kernel from older kitkat firmwares like XXUCNF7 or CNE6 or CNH5.
This does not trip knox as you are flashing official kernel. Then you can use towelroot on the old kernel and after rooting and installing supersu , you can flash the new kernel. There is a thread in one of the sections that has stock kernel files for I9195. download one kernel and flash using odin. Good luck

[ROM] Optimized + Odexed DOI2 N910A - 5.1.1

Took the stock ODIN ROM from the N910A. This ROM works without many bugs! Data, camera, etc all work without any patches required. In fact, the ROM can be completely used root-less as is. Stock kernel and errything. There might be some remnants of KNOX still intact. I haven't been able to check yet. If there is, I will add a script to remove the KNOX containers.
So, basically, this is the AT&T edition of the N910T3 ROM. Yet, it's debloated by a lot..
And yes, of course, no wifi calling or VoLTE.
Edit (10:30 @ October 25th: my piehole is a liehole. To remove any KNOX-y things left, just go into /system, and delete "containers". Inside TWRP.)
!NEW!: CSC folder now available to fix the ROM from being just a generic international thing.
NOTE ABOUT CSC: You will have to manually place it inside the system folder. It should look like this:
/system/csc/
IF THE FOLDER NAME IS NOT CORRECT, CSC FEATURES WILL NOT WORK.
CSC download link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087007357
Bugs: None, as I am aware. (Unless you count having the AT&T logo on startup.)
Some test screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/7d8DA
Modified build.prop with original AT&T values (and none of the Korean junk): https://www.dropbox.com/s/ug90i926pw51hgo/build.prop.nokorea?dl=0
Download: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347846707
Installation instructions:
1. Unzip.
2. Place folder inside your TWRP backup folder.
3. Wipe everything except internal 2-3x
4. Restore Boot+System.
5. Reboot into the new ROM and enjoy, I think.
Root instructions:
1. Install a CUSTOM 5.1.1 KERNEL. If you don't install a custom kernel, you will BOOTLOOP.
2. Run the root script inside TWRP.
3. Enjoy root, I guess.

I did, however notice lighter RAM usage upon initial setup. After adding a few apps, it's still lighter than some other ROMs I've used. That might be because this ROM is odexed, though.

I was messing around with random firmwares. I just ODIN'ed the AT&T stock firmware without changes and it worked pretty snappy. Even with the bloat. So I thought, why not just package this as a complete stock (debated) firmware?
Also, I am currently messing around with the Korean N910S (SKTelecom) firmware. Fun stuff. Currently the stock kernel doesn't work. Just out of boredom.

It seems that the ROM from the N910S doesn't boot. Flashing the boot.img automatically makes it go into "Could not do normal boot" mode. Flashing any other custom kernel just makes it bootloop. I can't figure out what's wrong with it though. Really sad about it, since the Korean versions of these phones have features hidden away that other countries can't use or access.
-
Was thinking that it was due to it being a firmware for the N910C. I checked and of course, the N910S doesn't have an Exynos chip. So that's not why it doesn't boot...I'm really stumped.
I think VoLTE has been fixed. Adding the T-mobile CSC to /system from the 5.0.1 firmware adds the option to use or disable VoLTE. However, I have not been able to use it yet, because I think it requires another T-Mobile user that has VoLTE as well.
-
The IMS settings required for VoLTE to work are also included inside the imsprofile.xml for the CSC. The system decides what to use via the sales code from that CSC. Basically, this is a ramble post and I might make the CSC a separate zip that yall can add to /system.
This is definitely a great DevBase

So, you probably can, run it through the lollipop deodexer. I don't recommend it however, as odex'ed gives faster speed in some cases.

N910A has a locked bootloader. You need TWRP in order to restore this backup. I don't know if the N910A has a special TWRP available for it or not...

yep
i waited then it went into cfroot
we got a dump of the stock recovery (im assuming thats what the other file is to flash) so im sure it wont be long till we get a custom recovery:good:
Confirmed, works for boost mobile 6.0.1 marshmallow.
Would TWRP 3.0.0 work with this or are we gonna have to wait for that update? Need my xposed modules for sure
We dont need a MM twrp....the current twrp will work just fine to flash a MM custom rom, someone just needs to make a rom.zip we flash it on top of LP and profit.

I also just realized that xposed won't work without a deodexed rom

Can't we use flashify to install zip files? I've used xposed on stock ROMs before I thought.
will this work for 925p?
Awesome now i can mess with titanium backup. . Thanks Guess supersu is not working it says no su in the binary. Redid the steps i used odin 3.10.7 it didnt boot after the cfauto was flashed it actually booted into recovery is not seandroid enforcing. forced into download mode pushed down restarted again it went to the recovery is not seandroid enforcing screen. So i flashed the recovery cleared cache phone booted thought i was good to go nope lol. Also the same happened when i tried the twrp with odin but i had to flash the rom to get back up and running so heads up.
Guys I would definitely wait for a custom recovery. What if something happens and you have no backup?! Also, you need a deodexed ROM for Xposed to work anyway! This method would be good if all you care about is little stuff like AdBlocking.
you don't need deodexed rom anymore there is an exposed that work on 5.1.1 adn 6.0 but we just need a recovery to flash it.
but i agree i would wait to have a confirmed recovery for marshmallow

"Samsung made a lot of changes to ART without providing the sources, that's why it took a while to workaround some of their changes, more information here.
It supports Stock and close to stock Roms."

I'm totally down to be a test dummy lol. Can anyone explain if flashify would be a replacement for recovery? I know the international folks used it to prevent certain things from tripping Knox, but at this point I'm pretty sure we all have tripped it by now
