Im getting horrible download speed when trying to download an app from the play store when on wifi. Speed test, laptop, other iphones all work fine.
Wifi works fine on the g4, I can watch youtube, surf etc. Its just th google play store thing.
I had this earlier today and it went away, but now its back. Is it a play store thing or is there something wrong with my phone. Been great the few days Ive had it.
I apologize if this is in the wrong section.
I noticed myself too. It's definitely slower than other devices... Why? I don't know.
And for me it doesn't bother..

This is a Google issue, and is happening on all phones and on all Android variants, be it Cynagonmod, or other AOSP, or stock ROM(s) LG/ or Samsung etc. I've noticed this on my Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III, LG G2, and LG G4 H818N. In addition to slow download speed, the download also stops anytime.

Hello,
I am considering buy one of this device because I played one at the AT&T store and I am very impressed with the screen and its functions. I want to know if it is compatible with wireless charging and is it available at best buy?
One thing when I tried to play the video on the desktop and when I tried to scroll the front pages it showed some lags, why is that? I don't know if the device is mess up since its the demo phone.
Thanks!

It is setup to wirelessly charge out of the box... I'm using a Nokia wireless charger for mine.
I just ran a video on my desktop and
scrolled through the home screens lag free.

Yes, some people see and report some lags http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2279454 especially if using QSlide apps. Maybe it's sort of bad LG optimization, but we wait for 4.2 release soon and maybe lags will be optimized. Anyway I for one don't notice them
Thank you so much for the comments! Much appreciated. I am very considering get the optimus g pro because the screen is the most important to me. I browse a lot, watch movies and read forums a lot. I know the note 3 is coming out but the optimus sounds like its meeting my needs the best and for good price. Lot of people seem to love their optimus.
Again thanks for your comments!

I have the VZN LG G3 unlocked, rooted, w TWRP and no bloat and I'm loving it, so I thought I would look into the G pad 10".
I would be using it among other things quite often for marine GPS navigation and upgrading my 7" to a 10" at a reasonable price $249. The issue I have is that with Android 4.4.2 Navionics then makes you switch to a new app with subscription services built in and it's ridiculous that I can't use my maps on the new app and my paid version (old) app force closes and is a know complaint and everyone is pissed about it in the sailing world, so I need to find a Tablet that is or will downgrade to 4.2.2 JB which is completely fine with me. What are your thoughts, I'd rather not go to a samsung tab 3, but I'm not sure I can get the G pad to 4.2.2. with what seems like so little going on e.g. only 2 roms in the dev section.
What do you guys think?

No way u will run JB on this device... Would be avery hacky process i think.
Look for g pad 8.3 or buy something like a bq edison. Something running 4.2.2 out of the box
While I have experiencing this A LOT of times:
http://f.cl.ly/items/2S2j1B3l0h2l1B2N2k2z/Untitled.mp4
I also did a recent discovery today: The Moto X Play its faster when it comes to take pictures, also a lot faster than the N5X with HDR enable in both phones.
Im really, both amazed and disappointed by this. I switched from a Moto X Play to the N5X to find only lags and slow performance.
Anyone else have experienced something like this? Is this a general problem or my device could be defective?
You actually switched from a moto x? are you nuts?

There where a lot of complaints about the Moto X Play, i even participated in tests for find a way to speed it's performance.
And yes, while the Nexus 5X it's faster, the Moto X Play it's more stable.

How often do you need to take HDR pictures and do you really need to press the shutter every second? If you know how to selectively expose a scene properly then HDR is not needed at all. While NX5 takes excellent pictures, I only use it when extremely needed. A dedicated camera especially ones with WIFI connectivity for direct upload to social networking sites is far better than any camera phone out there.
You're experiencing lags and freezes. Serious ones too! Mine for a little slow after the April MHC19Q update. So I wiped it and it was much better after a factory reset. I also go to developer mode and turn down all three animations to to 0 and enable force GPU rendering.

Well, the problem is that it slow and freeze with only 3 or 5 HDR pictures, is not that many. And the Moto X Play, even the Nexus 4 can handle more than that. The video I uploaded was even before I take any picture, I just opened the camera app.
I blame the encryption since it doesn’t make any sense that those smartphones can handle that process faster.
About “A dedicated camera especially ones with WIFI connectivity for direct upload to social networking sites is far better than any camera phone out there.” I have used my cousin S7 Edge and its impressive fast for pictures, and with the N5X and S7 with raw support, I believe we should be able to handle without the need for a dedicated camera.
I already sent my N5X back in hope to receive a new device, maybe there was something wrong with the internal storage read/writes.

Mine was already reset to factory settings for the 3th time, so I gave up and sent it today for replacement. I don't think this is the kind of device that need the animations to be disabled, my gf Moto X Play doesn't need that, even the Nexus 4 im using right now doesn’t need that.

I just wanted to say that I sent my Nexus 5X back to LG for repairs, following own Nexus Forum recommendation:
https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/nexus/sFmrWiceXf4/bAEAdlO_BwAJ
But I got back my phone in this state:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u...s5x_lg_warranty/photo_2016-08-23_17-24-10.jpg
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u...s5x_lg_warranty/photo_2016-08-23_17-24-15.jpg
Also I need to say that they sent me back my phone without the box, charger, original cable and everything else inside the box.
Since the phone wasn’t rooted and was still encrypted it was a nightmare to get it working by my own, but I finally managed to install a custom recovery and from there do a clean install, but to find the LG sent my my phone without the SIM tray.
I had to buy a new charger, cable and sim tray, but I have the phone working now.
If I use the stock rom or CyanogenMod rom I still get the same exact problem in my video, but with Dirty Unicorns seems that the problem its gone for good, so i still believe its a software problem, but as long I stick to DU i should not have problems anymore :good:
Dear god, coming from a Galaxy S2, S3, S4, S5 and Nexus 6 user, this phone is weird!
To flash the factory images, I had to go through some program that would not detect my phone for 3 hours, then randomly it just decided to work. TWRP flashing was a PAIN IN THE ASS, and the damn thing lags like crazy and throttles after 10 mins of use.
The LG Flash tool 2014 has its own mind. Sometimes, it says that it is unable to flash due to an error, sometimes it flashes JUST FINE. Wth?
Then you have that LG official mobile utility that sometimes lets it work, or not.
Why is everything so much harder on LG Phones?
I had Galaxy S4 and S5, also Nexus 5, All i can say is that ive never had all these problems you are talking about, not sure how long you have been using the phone, but i gotta say that G3 was my best phone so far.

I think it's just you cause this phone is by far one of the best I've ever owned
It's normal of LG lengendary
I came from LG Optimus Black (one of last phones using single core). The main reason I choose LG is good p/p.
I bought a Xperia E3 on 2014, and I sometime I played with HTC devices from my friends.
IMO, LG is not good manufacturer in customize their software, their ROM is more lag than the same hardware phones. So I'm glad to see any development or custom ROMs on LG devices, cuz stock LG ROM is not good, so stock based ROM is always my best choice.
About G3, it have a first generation 2K display, so the SOT is not good like new 2K device. When I bought my G3, I don't think about that the screen will killing the 3000 mAh like this.
About utility tool, my personal experience is do everything in recovery if possible. Because with LG you do not worry about EFS, S-off, DRM, it safe and easy to flash.
Oh, the Lg flashtool we are using from 2014., right? I never ever used it. lol
p/s: sorry for my bad English
mostly it´s PEBKAC
But I agree it demands some reading if you´re a new user, however it depends on user, too.
I am looking forward buying a budget Android phone. I am looking at Nokia 6.1 and maybe a Moto G6. Does this phone have any sort of frustrating issues? There seem to be a lot of people complaining that this Nokia can crash or stop working on Amazon reviews.
Nah! No issues if you don't mess with the phone like rooting, unlocking bootloader or other stuff. Moreover, Nokia guys are really helpful if you get any issues.
Hey brother. I am from India and using ta1089 (nokia 6.1 Indian varient) from last 3 months. I will simply say don't buy this phone
Its quite laggy, poor camera and wrost system stability. Ui crashes very often. Phone freezes on opening camera and except durability, there's nothing good in this device. Please reply me with anything specific u would like to know.
It looks as if you are not in the UK then it's ok. We have problems with the "regular" Android One updates here in the UK as according to the Nokia tech guys the carriers here, the government here and everybody else is to blame for the uk phones not getting the updates.
Someone has found a workaround but all the Nokia people will tell you is to be patient. The phone itself is generally ok btw
TA-1068 - this is the most flawless device i have used in 10 years of Android phones (more than 15, different makes). Most problems come from inadequate usage, no matter the phone make.
Another TA-1068 user. No problems at all. The phone has been a pleasure to use. The camera is just OK, everything else has been great.

Uhm, with the TA-1050 we had no updates and bluetooth which kept dropping out for moments. Nothing to do with "inadequate usage". If Nokia (or HMD) sort this out in the UK then this phone will be like my favourite ever phone, the Nexus 5x. And if they simplify unlocking bootloader and releasing source code will be even better
TA 1043 phone is good, but the camera is sometimes laggy.. if i had the choice again i take the Moto G6 plus
So far its been fine
Im using the 1045 US variant. Its reliable, performs well. I had the camera and launcher issues but once i changed the camera apk (Nokia 7 Plus) and launcher (nova) things are fine. If your in the UK, and have a few extra quid i think the G6 plus or the nokia 7 plus would be the way to go....

Where van i het Nokia 7 plus camera app?
This phone's one and only gimmick is the nfc, the mi a1 outperforms it and the a2 outperforms it two times.
I got the july update and after a customer support adviced "softreset" it's kinda ok (let's say).
Otherwise typical sd6xx no matter how many ram; laggy keyboard, delayed app start, low call audio quality while having full signal, and a camera software screwed up in gargantuan proportions. If you have some experience with nexus phones, stop looking for them in this model, buy a pixel, even the first pixel is better than this.
If you want to talk, whatsapp and candycrush casually, this is your phone.
