First, if I'm in the wrong section for this I'm very sorry, if a moderator or admin could please move me to the correct one that would be awesome.
So, my LG G3 is 100% hard-bricked. The screen wont turn on, the buttons do nothing, download mode, emergency mode, and fastboot mode are 100% un-accessible. I'm a bit of a noob, so if you're able to help me make it as noob friendly as possible! Thank you!
Same here. I can also get a battery with a "?" Mark on it when I plug it in without the battery but that's it. My pc detects it as LGE AndroidNET.
Need immediate help please, only have 1 day before it's taken from me unless I fix it. Will compensate.

So today I tried flashing android 5.0 on my T-mobile LG G3 D851. I put it into download mode, started the flash and waited. My LG flash tool then crashed and closed. My phone was %6 through the installation however and was just left frozen after it crashed. I tried every way possible to restart it and get out of the screen while keeping it plugged in, but I couldn't...so I took out the battery and put it back in. Now nothing is turning on, I can't put it in download mode and the charging LED doesn't light up, etc. It's completely bricked....what do I do? I've already tried taking out the battery and waiting and plugging in the cord and then battery. Please help! I can't afford the insurance or another phone...
EDIT: Also the battery does have charge...although I don't know how long it will last.
EDIT 2: I just realized this flash was for the 855 variant..not 851. Does this mean that I am just screwed?
It means that you got expensive brick.
You cant enter into download mode or recovery?
Probably only help is jtag. Find someone who can do that.
Sounds like someone has learned a very expensive lesson! Have you tried to factory reset it?
Yeah JTAG is all you got if no download mode

The linked solution works only if the device shows some signs of life - atleast a boot logo.
i have a D851 that a friend bricked. She tried upgrading to Lollipop and flashed the AT&T baseband on this TMobile version. The result is a hard bricked device which does not even seem to power on. Shows no signs of life, except when connected to a windows pc. It shows up as 'LG Androidnet USB modem' in the device manager. No boot logo, recovery, or download mode. Fortunately she has IMEI and twrp backups for this phone (boot, efs1, efs2, radio, rpm, tz). I did some research on JTag solutions. Unfortunately, none of the boxes support the D851, yet.
Any ideas on how to recover this device would be greatly appreciated.

To put it simply if you cannot get to download mode, at this time you are sol. Maybe in the future if we get the qualcomm files you could fix it if your pc recognizes in one way or another it is connected under ports. But right now as we stand we do not have the files to recover from your type of brick.
thanks for you reply it seems that im gonna have to send it to lg for repair i bought it second hand so t-mobile will not help me with this.
Can you get adb to recognize it? You might be able to extract the laf.img and use adb to flash it back to your phone. Then you'll have download mode back.
no adb either i tried that. i try all kdz methods, flash tool with tot file and modded dll it gets stuck on can"t change to download mode. thanks for asking
the only method i did no try yet is the lg smart boot diagnosis tool that a xda member has but dont wants to share the tool

This is true but two problems exist:
1) Correct me if this is wrong, if you brick your phone and don't automatically boot into fastboot mode there is no way to do it. You need to flash the full fledged laf.img so it is booted when you do the vol + plug in instead of booting to lg boot loader.
2) Even if his computer can recognize the phone what he has done probably makes it boot into QHSUSB mode and at this time we have no solution to fix it.
I have read somewhere on the g2 forum of fixing one of the types of QHSUSB bricks (they come in a couple of flavors) but I can't remember which one. I do remember he needed to flash the full fledged fastboot laf somehow then flash the aboot partition via fastboot. So if I was you I would do some digging in the g2 forums.
thanks everyone for trying to help.well i just send my phone back to lg for repair i will inform everyoneif lg repair my g3 or not thanks again
I am also facing this problem it's completely bricked when I connect device to computer it shows LGE ANDROIDNET SERIAL please help to solve this problem

Hi guys, this might sound really really stupid but i wanted to flash my phone back to stock and i accidentally flashed in the nexus 5 file instead of the 5x ones and now i cant enter recovery mode. Windows cant seem to detect the phone either (USB device not recognized).
Anyway around this? Thank you

This should work for you. If it does, post back here and in that thread.

Check device manager. A lot of times I would have to manually point my computer to install the driver.

It does not work.
I did exactly the same thing with fireymint. The N5X never boot and is always black screen since the bootloader is bad. But PC can recognize it as QHSUSB_BULK and drive it as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I believe some tools can flash correct bootloader in that mode.
Till now, this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-unbrick-nexus-5-stucked-qualcomm-hs-t3043301 provides a solution to the most similar situation of Nexus 5. But it is not for Nexus 5x. Perhaps, the only thing we can do is cross fingers and waiting for some guru who can provide rightful tools.

What happens when you hold the power+vol up+vol down keys down simultaneously for a few secs? Are you able to get into fastboot mode at all?
If not, as others stated above, the bootloader is corrupt. You could try to change your USB driver and use the LGUP tool mentioned in thread links above - but those processes are proprietary and not well documented (and may still be dependent on a functional bootloader). At the end of the day, it's probably worth contacting LG or Google support and asking if they can repair/reflash the device. This might be covered under warranty, and if not, they may only charge a small fee for the service. The frustration it would save you in trying to bring a "hard" bricked device back to life is substantial.

Same problem.
Now can you fix.
I believe your phone should be able to load "Download Mode" with a bad bootloader, but I have no way to try that. Download mode is when you hold Vol Up + Power. Then you should be using the tools from second post.
Also there I see, that they only have files for a 32GB model, if yours is 16GB, the guide will not work! I am waiting for my USB A -> C cable to arrive, after that I think I may be able to provide the files they need to compile the files you will need for a 16 GB Nexus 5X. Other that that, you can always send it in for warranty. If nothing works for you, nothing will work for them, so they just might replace it.
Accidentally my phone droped on the floor after that it kepps the mi logo loop after some time the battery got dead and phone also not charging. While connecting to the charger cable the led blinking and looping. Buy my phone doesn't charging and while on the flash process without battery the fastboot mode opens and closes rythmically.and my computer doesn't take the time to load the drivers. Now what to do feeling dizzy....
Please help me out of this problem. I think it bricked but not hard. Because the fastboot logo comes but not more than 5 seconds it goes off. Please help
Try giving it to a local repair store.
I also had the same problem. If I used to remove and put the battery back, it used to reboot. I tried flashing using fastboot, but it used to reboot every 6 seconds. According to some friends of mine (Thanks to them) I gave it to a store, which in turn (I dunno how) hardbricked the device. I connected it to the PC, tried to go to fastboot, and it shows up as QCOM Loader 9008, which basically tells you your device is hardbricked.
Fastboot didn't work.
Using MiFlash Tool, while flashing through the QcomLoader, it showed "Did not receive hello packet"
Tried many times more, didn't work out.
So, I went and tried the trusted method: TEST POINT method.
It worked out. Now my armani is up and running!
TL : DR;
Try giving it to a local repair store (not Mi service center, they didn't help me AT ALL.)
Something might have dislodged.
Or
Try testpoint method, google for it
it *might* work. Well, that worked for me.
Not end at all
Hi, sorry for very late reply
Recently I discovered that the battery is dead not working at all. And while doing the test point method I think battery power is needed! So I ordered a spare battery after the delivery I will do the test point method agian. Currently if I plug in my phone thorough usb to my computer the qcom 9008 port shows but while flashing it gets detached then re shows up . And the flashtool error happens. I think a battery power is required so that this failure is happening.
So, what do you think is edl mode requires battery power?.
Need help because I have to fix it. It's my one and only loved phone of all time.
Currently I am using my friends phone to discuss about this matter.....please help me.....

You do not need battery power for test point method.
