I needed to reboot my phone (Galaxy S4/Lollipop) and it doesn't seem to be "fully" reconnected with the Zenwatch (firmware 5.1.1). The Android Wear app seems to be connected, and can display watch battery levels, change "always on" settings, etc, but incoming Gmail notifications have stopped appearing on the watch. This happens alot, usually after overnight charging.

I've been trying to figure out why my Galaxy S3 (i747M/I747MVLALI3/Virgin Mobile Canada-Bell) screen would light up in the middle of the night numerous time, sometimes 4 times a night. There's no specific time either.
I'm running the leaked OTA ROM. I checked my notification, and made sure there's no new notification. The only three ongoing notification are:
• Battery Reborn Widget
• No SIM - (yes, not using this device as a phone)
• Blocking Mode - I set this to Disable incoming calls, notifications, LED indicator between 00:00 AM - 08:00 AM.
I know I can turn over the phone, but that's a not solution as this is obviously an abnormal behaviour.
Is there a way I can check out what's causing the phone to wakeup randomly?
Or even better, is there a way to emulate iOS 6's Do Not Disturb's feature in Android? (absolutely no audible/haptic notification, blocks all calls that aren't on the whitelist - but given an exception if the same number calls within a short period of time).
There is an option in JB for DND hours. As far as it randomly turning on, this is looking like a known bug. I found your post by searching for info about it myself.
[Q] How to turn off the "Battery full, unplug charger to save energy" notification?
Like many people I leave my phone on the charger overnight. With my G3, once it charges to 100% I get a notification in the middle of the night (complete with noise and vibration to wake me up) telling me that the battery is full. I then get repeated notifications every few minutes as the phone partially discharges and recharges to 100%.
If I am actually actively using the phone while it is plugged in, it is even worse - every few seconds the notification comes.
Surely there must be an option to turn this off? Every "solution" I have searched for is not really a solution at all. People say to put the phone on silent or on quiet mode (I need to be able to receive calls and texts overnight). Other people say to switch notification sounds off (but that would turn off sounds for all notifications, not just the battery full ones). A few say we need to install Xposed and a special module (xposed killed the battery on my Z1 compact so I'd rather avoid installing it if possible).
Is there no simple way to turn off this notification?
Is it possible to turn on cinema mode and get notifications?
I can not find battery stats in Android wear app. Can you tell me where it is?
Open the Android Wear App.
Click on the cogwheel, upper righthand corner, not the 3 dots.
Click on "SmartWatch 3" under "Device settings".
Click on "watch battery" and you get the battery stats.
As I understand it you still get messages when Cinema mode is turned on you just don't get any visible/audible(no loudspeaker on the SW3 but vibration is audible too) notifications. That setting is specifically there so your Smartwatch won't turn on the display lighting and make any sound while you are in a cinema or other sensitive area where light and sound would be disturbing.
Side benefit, it won't react to touches on the display and it also won't turn on the display lights accidentaly when you move your wrist in a way that would make your watch think you want to interact with it. You can however turn the screen on by pushing the hardware button to check if any new messages have arrived.
Haven't tried cinema mode for myself yet, though, so no guarantee on the "still receiving messages" part.
Would be nice to just turn on vibration without having the display light up. I would use that but since that option doesn't exist I just turned of the wrist movement thing. My watch lights up and vibrates, when I get a message which is OK to me since that's what I have a smartwatch for but it doesn't drain the battery from always turning on accidentally just because it detects wrist movement which happened a lot before I turned that option off.
You can use app "Feel the wear" you can have vibration and also screen light if you would. So in Cinema mode you have vibration to know notification and if you choose light on the screen, you can also see the notification if you flick your wrist while screen is on
Is anyone else having issues with their Smart Watch alarms? I've noticed that my alarms which I've set on the watch no longer vibrate if the phone is in silent (dnd) mode and the watch screen just lights up with the snooze or dismiss option. The phone is configured so alarms still sound in silent mode. Phone alarms sound and vibrate correctly, it's just the watch ones that have stopped working properly. It doesn't matter if I activate DND from the phone or the watch.
What I've noticed is that if you click the Do Not Disturb menu on the watch it briefly flashes "alarms only" but then changes to "total silence". However, if I turn Bluetooth off on the phone the watch works perfectly. The drop down remains at "alarms only", doesn't revert to "total silence" and the alarms vibrate correctly even in DND mode.
The behaviour change/bug nearly caused me to miss a flight yesterday.
My phone got the OTA Nougat update last night, but the problem persists.
When putting the phone in DND mode the status bar of the watch briefly flashes "alarms only" then reverts to "total silence" and any alarms set on the watch only flash the screen but don't vibrate
Hi there, just became a new owner of GT2 pro. Before this watch I had Amazfit GTR2, and so:
Viber, whatsapp notifications work ok, but if a message is from some Group then there is no group name just ...(three dots) - amazfit shows groupname
On wrist turn and if the Always on display is turned on it does not turn on the full watchscreen just adjust the lighting - amazfit shows full screen
AOD display is never turned off, even when I am sleeping, it would be nice to have some schedule for that like - amazift
There are only few AOD displays to pick, it is not customizable
Better sides of GT2 PRO are:
- longer battery
- wireless charging
- ability to call from watch
- nicer look
EDIT: Today noticed that when someone reacts(likes) my message in Viber group, then I get notification with group name, really strange

You should set up "do not disturb" mode in the watch. While in this mode, put your hand on the main watchface (not AOD) and wait a second. The watch will not wake up until the end of "do not disturb" mode.
Nice one, this is a good information. Thanks for that.
Hi,
I have noticed also a bug on my GT 2 Pro:
During a a running workout with coach announces (each km) and bluetooth headphone connected with music playing: sometime, after the coach announce, the volume of the music stays very low (it is not restored with the right level).
Another drawback is that a steel bracelet disturbs the GPS reception of the watch. With silicon strap, the GPS is ok in less than 15sec, with the steel bracelet, it never finds the location or very very long and unprecise.
