So we all know that Verizon got rid of the standard Power Saver feature on our phones, maybe because they hate battery life? Anyway all they left us with is Extreme Power Saver, which basically cripples the phone and is useless. IMO have the standard Power Saver and being able to use just the low-power cores would be a HUGE benefit.
Is there any way to get the Power Saver feature back?

Okay, thanks for the response. Now it's just a matter of waiting for a method to root my phone that doesn't involve shipping it halfway across the country.

If your stock, locked and two smoking barrells...lol you still can using Nova Launcher (I have it on mine...S-ON, stock, and locked).
"While in sense home download and install nova launcher from play store, DO NOT set as default home, stay on sense home. Goto any home screen but blinkfeed, long press select add widgets. Once in that screen use the drop down to select shortcuts instead of widgets. Select ACTIVITIES which should be the first shortcut in your list, scroll to find power, expand power, find powersaver.PowerSaverActivity, and your done. Go back to home screen click shortcut, and it will open powersave. But jus like dottat said if you reboot you must disable and reenable after restart. It will say its active but won't be till you do this.
I can confirm that switching to another launcher after enabling power save will not disable it, jus have to go back to sense home on reboot to reenable it."

Well when you want to use the phone you have to press the power button first right? Then slide to unlock.
Is it possible to remap the button to switch screen on from the power button to say...clicking the trackpad? A native way or an app i don't mind. Just seems strange to reach to the top of the phone and i have pretty big hands, it's no problem just me being me i guess.
Download keyguard disabler, then you will be able to turn on the screen with any of the bottom buttons.
Though pressing trackpad seems best as others invoke some kind of action.

the nexus one trackpad has been remapped to wake up the screen, ... but *i think* it has to be rooted first.

Oh that's a shame! Yeah i think any key would cause me to make mistaks while it is in my pocket that's why i would like the trackpad.
I'll live in hope!
Well it was recommended an app called flyscreen but that turned out to be a full lock screen replacement. Not really what I want!
I don't want to give up on this it's my only gripe lol. Anyone any ideas? Or help? Nothing from the Nexus One?
We may have to wait till it's rooted before we get this feature
How about just locking the screen rather than turn it off?

Great way to drain your battery really fast...
If Paul from Modaco gets his Desire it could be rooted very soon. Let's hope so and i want this feature first lol.
Is there either an app to completely eliminate the lock screen?
I'm running CM and there is an option to unlock by pressing Power>Menu or through gestures but either way that's an additional step - just like my rotary unlock.
There's an app in Market called No Lock that does the same thing.
What I want is just press Power and I'm at the home screen. No 2nd buttons, no Menu button, no sliding, no gestures.
And since I know this question will come up, no I'm not concerned about dialing or anything else, capacitive buttons/screen, remember?
Plus I have a case that bevels over the Power and Volume buttons so... yeah...
Thanks!

Hey man, its already built into CM. One of the options for the Notification Power Widgets is to Toggle the Lockscreen. Just set Toggle Lockscreen as one of your widgets in the CM settings, and click it and you can completely turn your lockscreen on and off.

Wow, how'd I miss that..?
But I see it allows you to turn the phone on w/ the volume buttons too... That's not good b/c I usually switch tracks w/ the volume buttons when the phone is in my pocket or when I'm driving - especially when I'm driving.
Any way to only let the power button turn the phone on?

I'm sure that you know this as you are a much more senior member but unrevoked will take care of that for you.
I used 3 on mine with the same hardware and hboot and it worked like a charm.
there is an app called No Lock that will do this for you.
No Lock works great...

Ye.. I said in the OP that I know about No Lock. The problem with no lock is that, just like the CM no lock option, it allows the phone to be woken up by the volume buttons too. Something that's a major deal beaker for me.
SUPERSONIC via xda app
Auto Unlock. Only the power button wakes the phone. Sometimes, you will see the lock screen flash on before it's dismissed.

Hello,
I'm getting used to holding down the home button to switch between current running apps.
The duration to trigger the home button recent apps is longer than I like.
Is there an app/mod/xposed to increase the response time of the home button.
I'm rooted. However, I"m not looking for a whole new ROM to achieve this.
Thank you!

This issue goes all the way back to the SIII. It has to do with S-Voice. If you don't use S-Voice, just turn it off in the settings and the lag will be gone. Personally, I use Dragon to replace S-Voice, and it does not have the lag. Hope this helps.
I have cm11 and if i power on the tablet and let it a couple of minutes it is freezed at the lock screen. I cant unlock it by swiping the screen and i cant press on the clock widget. If i press the power button it turns on or off the lock screen but i can still do nothing. Only way to restore it is to keep pressed the power button to hard reset the tab. It boots normally then if i unlock the screen and dont let it auto lock. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? It gets really annoying. Could it be the nova launcher because i cant remember this happening before installing it.

Your guess seems to be on the money. Stay away from all those launchers.

yep, i disabled the option from nova settings to autolock the desktop and that seemed to fix it. This option prevents any changes to desktop and it looks like that it conflicted with cm11
It's a little annoying that it takes 3 seconds for the screen to turn on from standby mode. It was almost instant on my Galaxy Note. Is there a way to make it faster?
Also, is there a way to configure the home button when you press it in? By default, it opens a web browser, but I'd rather see the power off options or something more useful.
Thanks. ^^

bro both of these things are different
also this is not due to lag or bad hardware it is by default and you cannot change it so stay with it
also about that home button thing open settings see if you can find something

What launcher are you using? On default TW home key goes to home page. Double click opens S Voice (you can turn this off in settings), long hold opens Google Now.
This is just unbelievable how long does it take to wake up for this Tab. One of the worst things about it!
