is there any posibility that any one can make some sort of download booster that uses Mobile Data and WiFi at the same time.
similar to samsung download booster? i saw an app on Play Store but sometimes doesnt work.
the mobile plans prices are getting lower and the speeds getting higher, it would be nice mod for some that have unlimited data plan and high speed from mobile. they could combine wifi and have even higher speed.

I am using the Wifi tether app, but seem to be getting reduced speeds for whatever reason. When I run a speed test on my Evo I typically get 1+ MBps for download, but when I run a speed test on my computer I get something like .3 MBps (sometimes it peaks a bit higher, but rarely.)
I am running on a roaming network if that matters, and have rooted for the app via unrEVOked.
Are there some sort of settings that I need to change?
I also seem to get long periods of what I can only call my data timing out where it will not let me upload or download. It goes away on it's own after a while though.
Easy tether seems to work fine....

I am using ATT version of Galaxy S3.
Although its great device but I am facing 2 issues:
1) Low download speeds as per the tests I have done so far via speetest.net app
I have done around 25-30 tests at different times and the average speed on 4g LTE was 6 Mbps, I have read online that the people get speeds upto 20 Mbps, Is anyone else facing this issue ?
2) Video\Voice calling not working via Google Talk, Skype, Nimbuzz
Whenever I try voice\video call it does not work, it always gives a message 'To make voice\ video calls you need to be connected to Wi-Fi'
Did anybody else got this error.

Is there any app here in the market that can help us hog / boost our wifi connection? I notice in my phone that I get higher rates and my browsing becomes faster when I download torrents, which led me to conclude that hogging a wifi connection boosts its speed significantly.
Second, is there any free vpn app for free for our wonders? I tried droidvpn but it has a 100mb limit.

Getting a free set of daydream VR goggles soon so I downloaded a couple of apps for them. I had a message that said something along the lines of download manager says the file it too big and is waiting for a wifi connection.
Is this a setting I can adjust? I have unlimited data, and the cell data is much, much, much faster than my home internet, so I'd rather download things like this on cellular data instead of wifi.
App was called Wonderglade and is 269 mb.

I would like to see if anyone on this forum has any idea of being able to have 2 sim card's inserted both with a Data Plan and being able to use both sim card's data plan at the same time to increase speed of downloads on the phone?
OR if it's possible to use both Wifi & 4G/ LTE together to increase download speeds?
I remember the Galaxy S5 had a similar feature called Download Booster? Apple also has the same feature called Wifi Assist.
Maybe a Magisk Module or some kinda mod ? An app that would allow this ??

Wifi Assist doesn't increase download speeds, it just switches to mobile data when wifi is unreliable. Download Booster supposedly did what you asked, but I think it didn't increase download speeds, it just used both connection to download several files simultaniously. When you start downloading a large file, your device makes one connection and does the data transfer on that, you can't use then an other connection to boost it (except for torrent and downloads like that where the file is actually sliced up into small pieces). So my point is that I don't know about any solution that can achieve this, and I don't even think that it's possible for regular downloads.
Samsung's Download Booster does indeed speed up downloads executed in the browser. With my 80mbps wifi plus LTE I can get download speeds of about 150mbps. But only with in-browser downloads of 60mb or above, so it hardly ever kicks in. As OP said, would be awesome to configure for torrents and the like.
