[Share] Rom Lollipop SUPER LTE V6.5 With G4 Apps - LG Optimus G Pro

I have tried many Lollipop Roms available here and lgviet on my E988 but all of them have bugs and / or battery drain issues except on Korean F240. I am just sharing this Rom as it is not my work ALL CREDIT GOES TO @henrypham91 and lgviet team. He did great job as this rom is very stable for E988 and battery is best among all other LP roms (although not as good as Stock KK but still much better).
Note: System UI of this Rom is modded by Henry Pham and it has different battery icons, analog clock on right side of status bar, signal bar / clock alignment on left or centre, network speed etc. You can change options from custom settings provided by him. However, if you don't like this UI and want to get stock UI (like I did ), I have uploaded the zip, just flash it via recovery. Link is given below. However, custom settings of Henry Pham will not work on stock UI.
Some Features:
Very smooth and stable
Supports LG Gpro F240KLS / E988 / 980 / 986 / GX F310L & LR/ GK F220
LG G4 theme / Wallpapers

G4 Calender, Alarm
G4 Weather
Best Battery Backup
Call Recording
Installation Instructions:
It is strongly recommended that you should be on Stock Kitkat / LP
Root and install Recovery (I use Cloudy's modified TWRP- Link Given)
4 Wipes (Date, Cache, System,Dalvik Cache)
Install Rom by selecting your variant (E986 users, select E988 during installation)
E988/E980/E986/F240s users do not reboot, you need to install patch (Link Given Below)

There are V6.8 and 6.9 of this rom too but on E98xx they have two issues, camera force closes when you switch to video recording and also GPS does not work. V6.5 has no such bug so I am sharing this specifically for E988 / E980 users.

Unfortunately that settings are in Vietnamese only. First two options in custom settings are for clock and battery I remember, you can try those.

Have you guys tried this one, Special Edition Lollipop??

It has Knock off on G Pro same as stock. Regarding SOT, 5 hours is what I used to get on KK. It has approx. 3-4 hours depending upon usage and brightness level. You wont be getting more than 3 hours on any LP rom @ your e988. Better stick to KK if you are looking for 5 hours or so.

Thank you.
And what about other functions, UI, customizations.. Which one is better - or are they the same??
Another question, you said that if we change the UI to the stock one, we lose the Dev's settings. What does it do (the dev's settings)?
Thanks again for answering.

Super LTE has G4 theme+ few apps so it is better in terms of UI.
Regarding dev's settings, this option is added in settings menu as custom settings. These are in Vietnamese language and you can change battery icon, its color etc. Also there are options like changing clock position to left/center or right, network speed etc. However, I like stock UI with stock battery icon and all aligned to right. Choice is urs whatever you like. Also, if you like Iphone style battery/signal bar, you can chose this option during installation of rom.

Yes they work. If you do not get this option for the first time you connect it to PC, just go to settings > PC connection and select MTP / USB Tethering and let the drivers installed.

Have you observed the same issue on any other LP rom? I have tested many and it heats up on all compared to KK which I think is common issue with LP.

I clicked on the links for the E980 patch and rom but my translator is not translating and idk what to click to download the .zip files. Help please.

No, you shouldn't flash to Oppo ROM or Stock Android ROM, just flash this ROM directly.
I very recommend that you backup your current ROM and important data first before flashing.
Any bugs ? I just finished downloading this ROM and TWRP. CMIIW but I read somewhere that flashing ColorOS using TWRP is a bit difficult. I need to flash back to ColorOS since it's going to have a new release next week. I'll try your MIUI soon as I learn how to flash back ColorOS Recovery

Okay I flashed the ROM and here's my review :
BUGS :
1. FC when selecting APN (major bug for me). I'm using Telkomsel in SIM 1 and XL for SIM 2. My data is connected using XL. Always FC when trying to modify APN either for TSel or XL. Here's a screenshot of the error message.
2. I also having problem connecting WiFi. Need to manually turn-off then turn-on WiFi.
3. During first initialisation, when asked for Xiaomi account and selecting next you can't go back to previous screen. Not sure if this is a bug or not.
Other Reviews
1. Haven't tested with telephony calls yet.
2. Root access granted.
3. When using updater there's no message if this version is the latest update or not. Well it's OK for an initial release.
4. FM Radio works with headset.
5. You can tap screen 2x to wake when screen is off.
6. All Google apps are working fine.
7. GPS works fine, got 10 satellites lock with 3m accuracy.
I have a Lenovo P780 running MIUI 3.12.15 so I know what to expect from a MIUI ROM.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your hard work porting this ROM. Mangtabs gan !

Hi thanks for feedback,
My fault didn't check APN Settings, because on last week synced miui repos (3.12.9) has no problem with APN Settings,
It seem APN settings activity are not declared in Settings AndroidManifest.xml, also SIM Lock Settings has fc too, I'm going making patch for this..
For WiFi, please describe detailed problem, I have no problem connecting WiFi (was tested in Home, Office and public WiFi with manual password and WPS button)
And if you was skip to add XiaoMi account at first setup, you can add it later on settings.
About updater this ROM is currently not connected to MIUI update server, I'm currently requesting to join miui porting team, so I can use miui rom manager. hope they will accept

Thanks for reviewing my problems. You can skip the WiFi problem, it's working fine now, I'm sure it's because many apps were syncing after first boot and also play store updates. I guess I'm just impatient.
Also both TSEL and XL only shows GSM instead of WCDMA in Preferred Networks.
My issue with Xiaomi setting is if a user pressed next instead of skip then he can't go back to previous menu to choose skip, I had to reboot my device so I can choose skip.
Well until you make the patch, do you think if I manually edit /etc/apns-conf.xml will solve the issue ?
And one more, please add link to TWRP in OP, I just got a PM asking how to install MIUI on ColorOS, and this guy flashed MIUI using ColorOS recovery instead of TWRP
Thanks a lot mate.

About prefered network settings currently I'm not understand what miui changed, still investigating..
Its not apns-conf.xml related, but AndroidManifest.xml inside Settings.apk.
I was finished with new patch, see first post.
Will upload full ROM while I sleep.

Thanks for the patch man, that was quick !
More reviews :
1. I just noticed that toggle 2G/3G Network is not active. I looked at my Lenovo P780 (running MIUI 3.12.15, similar specs in CPU and GPU and dual SIM too). Mobile network settings is differrent and then I realised wow your MIUI is missing a lot of options.
Here's my P780 MIUI 3.12.15 :
And here's R819 MIUI 3.12.15 :
I think missing 3G Service option makes your ROM 2G only. Just ignore preferred networks option and take a look at finding those missing options. Just a suggestion though, I'm only an end user with no knowledge of ROM porting.
2. In Battery indicator settings, choosing percentage options doesn't change battery icon while it should change to a battery icon with numbers inside showing remaining battery percentage
3. Icon Connected as USB Storage in notification is not properly aligned with other notif icons. I've seen this before at your MIUI thread, it's just a small issue and I'm sure everyone can live with it :
Take your sleep man, and thanks for such a quick patch.

Hi Thanks, this because your help :highfive:
I'm was planning to implement a real OTA, so everyone will notified if update are available on their phone.
But I'm currently looking for an alternative updater, because I does not have access to miui rommanager for now.
Thanks man, I've been using this ROM for half day at work and it's working well so far.
1. I noticed that in editing contacts, I can select phone number (select all button exists) but there's no button for copy, cut or paste. Using stock Android Keyboard from MIUI.
2. Remember my Lenovo P780 running MIUI ? Actually it's a custom build by a russian dev, I see many different english translation in settings but with same functions. I also find some options (not function critical) not available in your ROM which I'll share below
Feature Requests
1. Please add GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk into /system/app in future release so users can sync Google Calendar in MIUI Calendar.
2. Can you implement settings for default write disk (default storage for apps installation) like this settings -- storage :
3. Magnifier options (similar to iPhone), works when long-press on text in any text editor so user can easily position the text cursor. I found this in Language and Input Settings :
4. Sound switch in Audio Profiles :
That's all mate, thanks a lot for providing the first custom ROM for Oppo R819 (as far as I know). Since ColorOS Stable is just released last night, tomorrow I'll switch to ColorOS for a while and test its' new features.
Keep us updated with your work
Sent from my R819 using Tapatalk
Woah thanks for suggestion, hope will found the missing features soon.
But about GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk I can't see this on base ROM, I just remove CalendarGoogle because I don't want have double calendar.
Or better to remove all gapps, so everyone need install it manually.

GoogleCalendar is not needed because MIUI already has Calendar so it's good that you remove GoogleCalendar. Just add GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk so user can sync Google Calendar data with MIUI Calendar without having to install GoogleCalendar. I'll attach one for you later tonight from home.

Sorry, on 3.12.21 does not have OTA patch from 3.12.7 (my fault lost last target_files from 3.12.17 so I can't make ota patch from it)
you may download full ROM and wipe cache & dalvik-cache before flashing,
or if you don't want download full ROM of 3.12.21, you can flash back to 3.12.14 (wipe cache & dalvik-cache only) then download ota patch 3.12.14 to 3.12.21.
Again, sorry for inconvenience.

Can I intall this rom on E-975?
Do i need a special method?
hi man please cook for e975 ...
e975 is world ...and many people have it please you to cook rom for us
Hey, I think that I found a bug in this ROM... When my screen is on and I press/hold the power button nothing happens, it seems like it doesn't react to it but when my screen is turned off, the power button works but only to wake the device
EDIT:
After a reboot forced through FreeGee the power button works fine
EDIT 2:
Why it says that my device is F180K when I have F180S?
Hey,I'm on sling v2.1. Is it possible to install the 2.2 version over it or it needs a clean install?

No problems at all. Rom built from F180 v30b, and I don't want to modify anythings that dangerous.

Judging from the nickname and the avatar, this is your ROM... If so, thank you very much! So far, it's been great, and I really enjoy it. :good: Tried VDT (V20 was the first KK ROM I installed, then Sling, then VDT-V21), but went back to Sling. Great experience overall, and I don't seem to have often-reported battery life issues, even with no specific measures like using Greenify, etc.
As for the install over 2.1 (that's my current setup), I was planning to experiment with an update tonight -- my thought is to just wipe cache, dalvik and system, then flash the ROM and the modules from the patch, leaving everything else unchanged. Does this make sense, or do you think not doing the data wipe is just a dumb idea? I think (?) it should work, but even if it doesn't, there is nothing to lose with the latest nandroid backup, anyway...

That's an easy fix in build.prop. Had the same issue with Sling 2.1, it was just a bit annoying to see the wrong model, but only took a minute to fix...
I'm using it 6 hours yet and no problems

Great! Please include FM Radio.
Radio and 4G is what I miss in Sling 2.1 comparing with the new LG E97520a version, other than that Sling it's much better.

use this procedure it works for 20i -20o-20p-20q-20r.
BUT DONT FLASH 20i or youll brick phone. we have antirollback. 10n lollipop and 20i marsh mallow are V2.
but since you already in 20o you are in V3.. you can flash 20o-20p-20q or 20r they all are V3
so use the preocedure oem unlock twrp in this thread..
but instead of 20i we are using 20o firmware its same procedure.
you also need to have adb. if not search and download minimal adb fastboot. and LG drivers.

yes those roms are stock based. genisys 20p has great battery life. it has uix5 icons and settings. no toogles though.. but i cant use with imperium kernel only to 5.4 when new 6.0 theres no sound in video.
i just installed imperium 20r latest. seemed to me slower then previous. but maybe better battery.
picture quality its stock rom. its same. because the LGframework its on rom. and in lineage or aosp they cant port LG framework they use generic thats why it looses quality.

What a pity. I recently picked-up a G4 and the camera in the stock build is quite something. (I am a longtime photographer, one of my peeves about typical smartphone cameras is that they are rudimentary and do not provide decent quality or manual control. The LG camera app on the G4 seems quite impressive in my quick perusal of it.)
So the issue isn't that the current G4 builds are based on Marshmallow instead of Nougat, it is that there is a special framework in the LG builds that provides some sort of services that the camera depends upon?
:crying:

phone and stock firmware its good quality.. stock based roms. like genisys/imperium/they are stock roms but with some mods..
lineage or aosp or CM they use generic framework so quality suffers a bit.. stock official rom theres no nougat.. those are cm/aosp/lineage roms..
as long as the rom is stock based youll get best quality. check this pics i took with stock based and lineage os.

I'd consider the stock-based ROMs but I really need things like the CM/Lineage Privacy Manager, and would prefer something where I can get nice themes for it. The stock LG theme with all the bright colors in the system menus is eye-burning to me. The brightness setting is also really inflexible. If I set it to Manual it seems to want to keep resetting itself to full brightness all the time. If I set it to Auto, it is often too dark to me. I'd ideally like to have something like an exposure compensation of about +1-1.5 stops in Auto mode.

Kernel suggestions?

Hello readers,
So I've been using my friend's device(HM1s, obviously) for a past few days, since he doesn't know anything about custom roms and stuff so he requested me to help him make his phone perform faster, so i tried aicp and ColtOS(since both are amazing according to people), and i do think they can perform even better with a custom kernel,so can anybody suggest me some best kernels out there that can increase performance of the device?...i Don't know much about this device so i need help
Thanks in advance
Have a great day
The stock rom with debloating would work best. I found MIUI 8 better than custom roms. Many kernels will switch the system to permissive mode instead enforcing selinux so reduced security would be another to be aware off.
The older custom roms based on cynogenmod MM and earlier which many of them are might have a bootloop issue because most of them are unpatched. I'm on Lineage 14.1 (Nougat) and it is laggy but I use it as a backup phone and testbed so it doesn't matter as much to me.

I understand that issue too....but my friend hates miui, so u see im stuck in this situation
Here are my views...
I am with device since 2014.. it is my first android device and still using..tried many custom roms..many means i can't even remember all names..almost tried every ROMs from kitkat to nouget..personally i like, CM 11 With xcelerate at best.. performanceand battery . Nouget ROMs are laggy when many apps are installed.. it was better at first .. u can try AICP march or earlier builds they are not laggy as current builds.. Obviously u can't bear lags when playing games and suddenly call arrives. And phone hangs. So i stick to CM 11 compromising using few banking and google apps that requires unrooted device. Cm 11 stock camera is bad but u can try google camera move it to internal and with xcelerate works best .. For music DSP manager is good enough... Cm11 is best of u don't want latest android ..i belive in quality. My phone should be smooth ,battery friendly no matter which OS,which kernel....

Zip file is there..unzip it... There is one ROM,PA Gapps, Custom kernel, firmware and one language pack(for indian languages-if u bother)...
Boot into TWRP.
Wipe out everything.Cathe.dalvik.internal.data.
Install firmware first.(if u use latest firmware then ROM will misbehave-so use this only)
Then Cm11 ROM
Then Gapps
Wipe cache and boot...
Use custom player like Sony walkman player with DSP..stock apollo is not good.. Use open camera for video and google camera for Pics. Quick pic gallery for gallery and Link2sd app for freeze unwanted apps, move to internal etc.. Use nova launcher bcoz stock launcher is not that good...Now you have moat beautiful ROM with stunning performance and battery.. Even after 4 years..with this combination u may have 3.5hrs SOT without underclocking CPU..have great flashing...

I dont't know about date but i have downloaded that zip from official xda forum... Anyways...if you are performance and battery geek then you can go for Aosp extended 4.4 for redmi 1s.. A nouget based rom with stock kernel default settings works awesome.. It is very smooth rom..i am using right now.build in magisk manager for root and other stuff..u can use banking apps.. Stock music player will FC so try QuasarAtmox stable edition. It is soundmod includes viper+dolby+sony.. I freeze dolby and sony when using phone speaker.and disable viper to enjoy movies in dolby..link2sd app is best for that freeze,unfreeze.. U will easily get around 450MB free ram..multitasking is awesome.. U can surely go for it..if u found sound output low then increase speaker volume using kernel auditor...i dont know how to put images in xda though.otherwise i may give my current ss of aosp..go for it u won't regret

If You are on custom rom with a working fingerprint than no pre-requirements just clean flash this rom. I don't sure volte working or not. I added some of the volte wanted vendor blobs need to test by jio users.
Secondthing, you earlier also mention about this light. But in my device i have white led in the front of the phone (near to front camera). I mentioned in my post as notification led. So in this build That is work perfectly for battery charging, low batter and notifications.
really a great rom, very smooth, you gave this old smartphone a second life

Is Volte working on this rom
& Is it for xt62 or for moto e4 plus?
I have installed to xt1761 (standard "moto e"), sorry I don't know about volte. previously I had installed a rom from this forum with always a kernel present here, the phone was laggy like hell... about these kernels... guys don't use zram in your kernels! zram is the absolute evil for an android smartphone

I found this after reading some guide, I hope it will be useful to you
Where can I download the 113 firmware? Which part of it is exactly needed for the working fingerprint?
Edit: Found the thread with the backup of 113. We will see...
Ok, fingerprint not working anymore, even with this 113 twrp backup. Original 113 firmware not available anymore, just the latest for the SP flash tool. Not important, my mother don't like the fingerprint scanner, so it doesn't matter. Original IMEIs back with Toolhero has worked perfectly, just the serial number is wrong and this is not fixable and maybe not important like the right imei numbers.
There is one bug, safety menu in settings is not opening and seems to crash. That's because fingerprint is not working here, for sure. Or, all fine so far for mother.
And I have changed the bootanimation for her
Edit: Now she got a new battery. Hope the phone is not going down anymore around 75%
I have installed it on my Moto e4 XT1762 (2017), and my camera and gallery are not working... When I try to acces one of this futures, the phone stops and reboot.
It's there something to do with it?
Thx
Notification Lights are working perfectly which is blinking lights that were disabled in stock rom and in all custom ROM .
This is the only ROM that has enabled blinking notification lights for each added apps the pulse and speed of blinking.
Notification lights are white only & not RGB colors.
Wifi Calling also enabled and is supported by my carrier.
Screenshots below August 2020 security patch.
If all restored userapp icons dissapear like as if it was formatted, just clear Dalvik and cache.
Why doesn't the screen lock work? Clicking on "security" in the settings closes automatically. With the error "settings stopped"
Hi everyone!!
Must say an awesome ROM. The dark theme was the selling point for me tbh and the fact that its based off LineageOS sealed the deal. Thus, an amazing ROM overall in terms of performance, stability and battery life (the 3 things that someone wants out of a ROM )
But one issue that I am consistently facing is whenever I go into Settings and tap on either "Security" or "Set up Fingerprint" the Settings app either freezes or crashes entirely.
I currently have LineagOS 14.1 Dark installed on my Moto E4 XT1762 "Woods" MediaTek variant
LineageOS version is 14.1-20200913-UNOFFICIAL-woods
kernel version 3.18
Build Number being lineage_woods-userdebug 7.1.2 NJH47F 0b5190fbeb test-keys
I also Magisk version 23.0 installed for root.
Troubleshooting steps that I have taken till yet:
Restarted the device numerous times
Wiped the Cache/Dalvik Cache from Recovery
Signed up using Google Email
Deleted Google's application cache and restarted
Signed up using a new user (that time it just froze on the boot animation until I manually restarted it)
None of the steps work and still whenever I tap on Security or Fingerprint, its like my devices just tells me to eff off and not play around with the security settings. If this is something that the developer intended or locked, I would love to know any way to unlock it
I have also googled the issue quite significantly. However, for my specific device, I was unable to find any good information thus I decided to post on my own. I have tried a couple of different fixes that worked on other devices with similar issues but the same ROM. However, none of them have worked so far.
Otherwise, I must say I have been using this ROM as my daily driver for like 2 weeks and have yet to come across any other issues. All my required apps work seamlessly and its like my 3 yrs old mobile got a new life. Just this one issue is bugging me, and would love if I get some guidance regarding how to resolve this!
Thank you once again !! Y'all are awesome!!

Most welcomee!!
Plus, regarding the NMA ROM I must have missed that part. I am still a n00b when it comes to rooting/installing custom ROMs, thus pls excuse my silly mistake.
Please do share the link of the NMA ROM, plus if there is any guide to do the installation of the NMA ROM and then this ROM, please do share that as well. Although you have already mentioned that you flash the NMA ROM and then flash this one and the fingerprint should work fine, so not a strict requirement, but would be nice to have if possible
Plus, pls pls pls do share the telegram group link. Tbh after flashing the ROM I have gotten interested in learning about custom ROM development, plus, if I encounter any bugs I can get quicker responses from the OG devs like you, so would greatly appreciate the share !! ^_^
Thanks once again!! Awesome ROM!!

essa rom funciona a impressa digital no moto e4 XT1763
Very glad to see that there is development for the E 4 woods. Would like to install this ROM, but only have a hard-bricked E4 XT1762 Mediatek MT6737M. Made already a post on a (very old) thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/e4-sprint-xt1766-unbrick-easy-with-sdcard-method-tested.3833408/
Is there anyone who could kindly try to build an unbrick.img for a XT1762? Don't have access to a working XT1762, so method of post 1 and 5 in the mentioned thread doesn't work for me. Or ist it possible to build an unbrick.img from stock rom? Thanks in advance
