Google Messenger - No MMS since 5.1.1 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Since the official 5.1.1 update, Google Messenger won't send MMS for me. I've gone back and forth, no luck. Wifi calling on and off, and a big fat zero. Hangouts works fine, the stock client works fine, just Messenger. Any ideas?

How did you update?
Odin or ota?
I updated with ota and it works fine.

Full wipe and Odin.

Odin updating can sometimes bork apps and files.
If you tried uninstall and install and still not working the only solution would be to figure out how to downgrade to 5.0.2 so you can do ota.
If you follow the upgrade thread for odin 5.1.1 you will see how using odin was a 50 / 50 shot that something isn't going to work properly.
Maybe using smartswitch may fix the issue, but not sure it works on mac.
If you visit your local tmobile store they can smartswitch it for you.
It will prompt for a backup before flash so apps and contacts can be restored.

Corrupt google framework on sgn2?

Hi,
I new to rooting and android and have some questions.
I think I corrupted the google framework on my phone.
I rooted my TMobile SGN2 using the*toolkit and Odin and SU on my phone. I used Option#2-Flash insecure boot image, root and install busybox" . I also installed Titanium Backup Pro and backed up all of my apps but I didnt do a full image backup using CWM or anything*similar*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6BweCW5ck8.
I also used this method to add the wifi hotspot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974109
The phone worked fine for about 1 week but then*I then decided to call Tmobile support because I was having data speed issues on vacation and they told me to reset the APN and Search for Mobile Operators in the Mobile Network settings. *I forgot about the APN changes I had made and it restored the original APN to the factory settings. *
Now I have the following issues with my phone.
1) I constantly get this error and it freezes my phone for 15 seconds. "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
2) If I goto the gmail app it says, "gmail has stopped" and it doesnt load
3) Now I cannot*load google play store any more so cannot install apps or do updates.
4) My*AllShare Cast Wireless physical Hub tries to connect to phone but doesnt connect anymore.
I have tried emptying the google files cache and stopped and restarted all of the google services, tried rebooting phone, taking out sim card and even went back the the original APN but the problem is still there.
What should I do?
1) Call Tmobile and see if they will send me a new phone? *I do have insurance but the phone is now rooted.
2) Just do a factory restore using this method?*http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaZiO8vfrME
If I do a factory restore and the phone still has issues, will they be able to tell I rooted if I decide to use my insurance and get a new phone?
3) Try to use SU or some other way to just fix the issues I have?
PS, when I try to use my wifi hotspot now, the Tmobile Tethering wants me to active and setup their service, so Im no longer able to use my hack.
Please help me.
Thanks!

I figured it out! It turned out to be some kind of an error while updating the apps from play store. In the application manager there was a disabled update process which after turning it back on worked liked a charm (scroll all the way down to the bottom in the APP MANAGER-->ALL and it will show any disabled apps. Renable the app. I also decided to clear cache of all of the google services, gmail, app store, internet, etc. and then I deleted my google account. I rebooted the phone and added the google account back and viola... Its all back to normal.
But now that my wifi hotspot is not working, should I try this hack instead?
This application requires a "rooted"-device and (probably) a custom-kernel which supports netfilter (iptables). I only rooted my device but no custom kernel? Will it still work for me?

Error downloading app from Play Store

I took my GNex in the evening from the Assistance Center where they changed my broken MicroUSB port.
They flashed on it 4.0.4 ICS and they unlocked the bootloader.
I update the system with OTA to 4.3 stock.
In order to try the Xposed Framework I used the Toolkit to take root access.
Then, connecting my Google account, when Play Store started to install all of my apps it prompted out an infinite list of error:
first (403)
then (920)
Flashed two times 4.3 stock via Toolkit, locked and unlocked, rooted and unrooted but... nothing.
Also tried to delete my account, delete play store data, delete framework data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik... nothing works.
Phone is uselss in this way... so if anyone has figured out what to do, please let me know.

I seem to have the same problem. I can't update nor download apps from the play store because I keep getting 403 errors.
Everything was fine until I flashed CM REMIX rom. That's when I started getting the errors. However nobody is complaining about anything like this on their thread. I've also tried using different gapps packages.
Could it be a server side thing? My other devices seem to be working fine on the same network...

I saw on another android board that this is happening also on some brand new Nexus 5, activated just today.
Almost sure it's a server side thing at this point.

If it is, I hope it gets fixed soon, coz my phone barely has any apps right now...
If it's not a server thing I'll try to flash my old rom to see if it helps.

Since you are flashing the official 4.3 rom, I really think the problem will just go away by it self (hopefully very soon)
Edit: It started working now all by it self!

Anybody??
FC in Facebook apk
Hi! After upgrading to 4.4.2 the Facebook application fails and closes automatically delete data and tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing keeps happening to me, this is the case I want to go back to 4.2.2 for me but working again I left it in a permanent reboot ... no solution yet ...
I have not installed Facebook onto my tablet. I will do so to see if there are any changes I can do to make it work with my kitkat CAGrom. However, most likely you may want to send feedback to facebook, which can be done on their main website for desktops. It may be an issue for all intel devices on kit kat. I am not sure.
As for the SD-card notification. It is part of what samsung put in. So on the stock firmware it will always be present. restl3ss has worked on the fix for pimpdroid and I am doing the same for CAGrom.

I don't think it is the rom that's the problem. I have same problem with Facebook to and I have stock 4.2.2 on P5220. It's the last updates from Facebook that's the problem I think.

Hmmm, I have a p5220 and recently flashed the KitKat stock rom cleaned up and rooted by Restl3ss. Facebook works fine. But Gallery force closes. I use Quickpic so it doesn't bother me.

Hello everyone on my t-mo note 3 play store not updating to latest on it's own after recent reset going back to stock with odin, I followed the proper procedure like resetting flash counter with triangleaway wiping everything before using odin to restore back to stock.

Some times it takes a while( maybe days or weeks) before Goolge actually update itself. It is totally normal.

I've had this phone for a month and during that time I performed factory resets twice for reasons unrelated to the Play Store. Before the resets the Play Store wouldn't automatically update. After the first reset it did update, but after the second reset it wouldn't update. I thought something might be screwed up on my phone so I just manually updated. I wasn't sure if anyone else was having the same problem.

Doing a factory reset may have messed with your Android ID. I think the best thing you can do is clear all data from the Play Store app, and then un-install all updates from it, reboot, and then open the Play Store again. Hopefully that would "reset" the update process, and give you the newest version.
Thanks to every one that try to help, I figured it out
I restored all my apps using titanium backup before setting up my google play store account, since TB backs up android ID as well, ones I restored my apps using TB, the google play store would not update itself because my android ID says it is updated to latest one all ready.
If made an error trying to explain my apologies goes for you all.

So how did you fix the problem? My playstore is not updating either and I'm fairly certain I didn't restore any of my apps with titanium the last time I used Odin to update to the latest stock firmware back in September. I am rooted if that makes a difference.
(EDIT) I now see how you fixed it. I read your answer incorrectly the first time by the way it was worded. But looking at it again today I understand. Thanks for your input.
