The only way to update your Note 4 is to flash the 5.1.1 files via Odin, these are available to download in the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 General Note 4 ATT, 5.1.1 Odin Files in Progress thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/general/note-4-att-5-1-1-odin-files-progress-t3230993
Check that thread for all of the information.

Lollipop Rom
Yes there are at least three active developments of Lollipop on a Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I'm running FML 5.0.2 on a Sprint Galaxy Nexus and it works great. See the following posts for details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/sprint-develop/rom-fml-fork-life-10-13-2014-t2903695

It would be nice to see lollipop on the old G-Nex, especially as 5.0 uses less resources than KitKat, apparently...

why hasn't there been a TW rom based on lollipop is it hard to port because the note 3 and 4 already have it so can't a developer port it? I know it takes time but is anyone working on it? Sorry if I'm being impatient. If this in the wrong thread please tell me

The note 3 and 4 doesn't have the same hardware as the note 2. That's why it's hard.
As long as TW Lollipop for Note 2 isn't cancelled officially no reason to waste time on such attempt
although I got to confess that I have already started to investigate on how to port, basic knowledge.
Is it possible to port note 3 neo's lollipop update to note 2?
