German Zattoo FireTV APK Download Request - Fire TV Themes and Apps

Can someone who has a German FireTV please extract and post the Zattoo FireTV app that is located at:
http://www.amazon.de/Zattoo-Live-TV-ueberall-fernsehen/dp/B00LW4XX4S/
This will allow other people outside Germany access the Zattoo app if they are using a smartdns service and there are a number of free live channels on the app.
Thanks...

I join this request. Please provide us an apk.

Search on YouTube: "Android Apps für Fernbedienungen und Game-Controller (Downloads)"
This is the german version from Nvidia Shield Android TV
Zattoo and other TV apps on www.apktv.de

That works but the loading/buffering icon never moves on mine even when playing.

With version 1.5.4 (285) for Android TV the loading/buffering icon never disappears also on my Fire TV stick.
With the same version on my Nvidia Shield the stream never starts and the screen stays black.
@sippidigital: Can you please provide the latest version (should currently be 287 according to non-TV version) from your Shield?

[Q] BBC iplayer and media player apps for fire tv

I know these apps exist in the UK, but the method for getting them in the US no longer works (switching regions in your amazon settings). Would anybody be able to extract these and post the apks somewhere?

I have tried sideloading the BBC iplayer APK but it looks like it needs a touch screen to work as i can't select a show to play it. Is there a BBC Iplayer app on nexus player? or an older apk that will work ?
Anyone tested this out?

Yeah you can use a bluetooth mouse or some android programs on your phone/tablet to make the iplayer work. But I know there is an iplayer app designed for firetv. That is what I am hoping someone can extract and post.

I have the official bbc player app on my firetv. ? How do I extract the apk? Let me know and I'll put it up.
Yes can you please extract the iPlayer, STV Player and 5 On Demand apks and post them up here?
This guide details how to do it and transfer back to your computer : http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-transfer-amazon-fire-tv-apps-to-a-fire-tv-stick/#more-3475
Thanks...
I was just going to log in here and post those same instructions. It would great to get these (and is there a 4od app as well?). Thanks!

Fire TV UK Apps
Hi
Heres a link to my google drive for the UK apps (Iplayer, Demand5, TV Player and STV Player)
h t t p s://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6g4L9vpdO9gb3BPekF4QjFSMVk&usp=sharing
I cant post them direct here as the file size of some is greater than 20MB
I will keep them up til the end of the year if someone wants to post the to a more permanent link.
I backed them up using ES FIle Explorer so they should work.
Of course you will need a DNS service or VPN to use them outside the UK.

Another option is using XBMC/Kodi
I have added the BBC Iplayer and ITV Player zip files to the folder linked to above.
Cheers
Thanks for posting these uk apks!
I have iPlayer and STVPlayer working perfectly but 5 and TVPlayer are not working on the firestick for me yet and there may be an issue withe firestick compatibility for some reason.
To get these to work i had to do the following:
Sideload the iplayer apk posted above to the firestick
Go to Amazon.com and search and buy that free app, for example iplayer
On the firestick go to my account and resync data
Now launch the app from the Manage all Apps setting
Now as each app loads it will be placed in your Recents list on the firestick Home Screen
The apps will NOT appear in your apps list in the apps tab so the only place to select them is from the Recents list or Manage all Apps.
Thanks again for posting these and i hope someone else also finds this useful for their firestick
No Problem
Getting a Fire TV Stick for christmas so will let you know how I go with these apps on it.
Using getflix.com as my DNS service if that makes a difference. Viewing these UK and US apps in Australia

This post is dated 3rd December 2014
I changed my region on amazon.com on the 19th December 2014 and it worked, I added BBC's iPlayer and BBC Sports
Thanks. I've now got both the fire tv and the fire stick ( I got the stick first). It looks like this method works with the fire tv but not the fire stick.
Got my Fire TV Stick
The UK apps from my account do not show up on it.
Installed Kodi/XBMC on it and added ITV player and BBC Iplayer that way.
Thanks for this  can you accept my request. I'm over in Spain with a smartdns and look for these apks all the time
Sent from my XT1032 using XDA Free mobile app
Ok i have shared the folder again so try the link again.
If someone can post the files to a more permanent file sharing place that would be good.
I will keep the link active for the next three days then I wont be opening it again as I dont want to share my google drive folders.
Hey @grahamsmith, can you reupload the files or change the permissions for the folder to allow anyone with the link to download. Currently permission is required to access the files.
Hi,
I added the iplayer, as well as news and sport apps to my fire tv yesterday. Got them pushed from Amazon.com. I'm using adfreetime and can play the iplayer in a browser and also in kodi, but the app won't play anything.
All the content appears, but on clicking it tries to play but then I get a message saying somehting has gone wrong....
Anyone else getting this?
Any ideas?
Did they change something to the BBC iPlayer app?
I bought this one with an UK amazon account, as I can buy it with my german account (You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions, bla, bla).
Synched it to my AFTV, switched back to my "normal" german account and tried to start the app. It starts, shows me the main menu but then a windows pops up saying "You don't own this app. Want details?". If I select details it just says me the same again, that I don't own that app. I then can only exit the app.
Any workarounds?
My Hulu Plus installed the way described above works without problems..
Haven't tried the BBC player in Kodi yet, will try this one. But getting the AFTV app to work would be more wife-friendly
Please reup apk's
Could someone please reup the Itv and 5OD fire TV apk's? I can't seem to get them from Amazon even though I transfered my account to UK
Best regards
Bobi

HBO Nordic - Cannot get it working :(

Hi all.
I have searched throughout the internet, and this one seems impossible to fix for now
I have xposed installed and rootcloak, and can now enter the app and see a list of all movies and tv shows.
However i cannot play anything !!!
I believe the issue is with the WideWine DRM which is NOT supported by Fire TV, and which is neccecery to have in android.
DRM info from playstore will reveal which DRM the Fire TV supports:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.romanhosek.drminfo
The HBO app works fine on my LG G2, and I can see that DRM Info tells me the WideWine is available.
Can anyone tell me if it someow possible to compile this DRM library into fire tv so we can have WideWine DRM protetected content?

Someone was asking about Widevine the other day. I just dismissed it, but it might be possible. Get the errors from logcat and we'll see what's going wrong.
That would be amazing.
I have attached two logcats. One which is filtered (small duration) and one which is not.
The package name is obviously com.hbo.android.app, and playback is started around 11:41 (see large logcat file).
HBO Nordic FireTV
Hi did you have any luck succeeding in getting HBO Nordic running on your FireTV box. I would love to have it running too.
I simply do not understand why they are not interested in supporting all our devices.
Looking forward to your update.
Thanks

Cool! worked for me too... but had to precisely install the google play services version (7.0.86_1763202-010).
But its a bit slow may be because I am using it outside nordic region with a smart DNS service.
How did you manage it guys? I installed play store and sideloded the HBO Go from google play store, I can install it and run it but can't control it as it expects touch screen. Tried using the remote controller and the gamepad but is crazy, no idea what is being selected, etc. Thanks
Btw. the reason I'm doing this is that I'm located outside the US (in CZ) and the HBO Go app that comes with FireTV connects to hbogo.com and it is showing me error that I'm connected from outside the US.
OK just in case somebody comes across this thread in the future. I have managed to install the Android version of HBO GO after installing the Google Play version that was referred few posts ago. I have used the Android app "Mouse Toggle for Fire TV" to navigate through the interface. At the beginning HBO Go failed to connect when Fire TV was connected through LAN port so I had to connect through WLAN and then HBO Go started to work. The only issue I'm still having is that I can't play some new series like Westworld, Divorce and few others that do not stream at all. Could it be the codec? the resolution of the video? Other movies and series play fine.
I managed to get the latest version of HBO Nordic (3.1.0, I think it is) installed on my Fire TV Stick yesterday:
Installed Google Play Services, latest non-beta version, but NOT the Android TV version
Installed Google Play Store, latest non-beta version, also NOT Android TV version.
Installed a "Force Landscape" mode app, otherwise interface is distorted.
Installed the Mouse app for Fire TV, to use the remote as a cursor.
I could then log in and browse the library. Yay. But all playback fails. Logcat indicates it's something with the Audio that goes wrong, but that's about as much as I can gather...
Android TV versions of the Google apps wouldn't work. I suspect that this is because FireOS was forked from regular Android, and not Android TV.
Anyways, I got this far. Maybe others will have more luck?

Could you also provide the Fire version of Watch TNT and Tennis Channel Everywhere apks?
Thanks in Advance,
I don't think there is a firetv version of watch tnt, you can sideload but you'll have a banner on the top of your screen that forces the video lower and cuts off a few inches at bottom of the video

The second link in that quote is the last version released of the "Slingplayer for Fire TV" v3.0.9. The same reviews. That last update is from Jun 28, 2016 with support for FireOS v5.2.1.0. Exactly the same as your link. Even the ASIN # matches.

Figured out that if it doesn't "fully support" certain cable boxes it will wither gray out the Guide and/or PVR options. Personally I'd prefer the option to show the Slingbox overlay guide, rather than trying to leverage the devices native guide, which is too slow and sluggish to be usable.

It's SlingMedia being stupid again. I have two Fire Sticks, a 1st Gen and a 2nd Gen, and a Slingbox 350 with great upload. I used to be able to get all the controls on the 2nd Gen, then Sling "did something" and now like others have stated the only controls I now get are "Quality", "Disconnect" and a couple others but nothing you can use to control the SB with.
But the 1st Gen? Works perfectly, all the controls are there, everything works going to the exact same Slingbox 350. I haven't checked to see if there's a difference between the 1st-Gen and 2nd-Gen's app versions, so maybe that's it. But in any case, SlingMedia has always been kind of ****ty when it comes to support so I don't expect this to ever be fixed.
virtualadam1 : Yhea, I got this problem, as my provider is Videotron in Quebec,Canada. I thing the problem is the country you choose for your slingbox as any of the Canadian provider I try didn't give me access to than ''Guide'' and ''DVR'' option. I have a slingbox 500 connect to a Cisco 8642 box with Videotron but to make all the feature work I need to choose US as a country and 33060 as zip code + Comcast as provider. Now everything work perfectly with FIRE TV only. Any other stick or apps will give me the guide from comcast.
Update: Apparently somehow not being able to see all the remote-control buttons in the Slingbox Player for Fire TV app is an issue with only the 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick; if I run the app (same Amazon account, same SP App version) on a 1st-gen Fire TV Box, a 1st-gen Fire TV stick or the new 4K Fire TV dongle, the buttons all show up.
One other thing to note is that on all the Fire devices that the Slingplayer app works fully on, in "Settings->Display->Scale" you can adjust the picture size for overscan, which is something only the 2nd-Gen Fire Stick, the only one without all the SP buttons, can't adjust (it gives a lame message about "Fix your TV's settings instead", which is useless in places like hotels, or TVs w/o aspect ratio controls or where overscan can't be otherwise be adjusted).
can someone repost valid links pls?

There isn't one for firetv... The ones from here will side load and work with mouse toggle or mouse. At the end of the threads there are ones that work. I have been using 5.1.5.014 with a mouse.

Oh wow, thanks. I really thought after googling the FireTV did already officially support it. It must have been talking about Fire Tablets instead, now that I look again.
I do already have that version side-loaded, but having to use the mouse is a deal breaker for me. I'll keep using the Roku until it comes officially I guess.
