How exactly do I unroot and re-install ROM? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hello everyone. Well i'm about to sell my Note 3 back to Tmobile for a Note 4 and I need to unroot this and reinstall the original stock rom. How exactly do I do this? I downloaded the original rom and tried to use TWRP recovery to install it and I got an error. It wouldn't allow me to install that rom. I double checked to see if it was the right ROM and sure enough it was.
At this point im lost and I dont know what to do. I just want to get this to stock settings. Can someone just give me a link to a thread that has DIRECT and instructions that are semi easy to understand and follow? Every thread I run into its plagued with large HTML text saying THIS IS OUTDATED USE THIS, only to go there and say NO USE THIS INSTEAD and then ACTUALLY GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL THREAD.
Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!
I have a Note 3 SM-N900T from T-Mobile U.S.A.

Follow the instructions in this thread to download and install (via Odin) stock Lollipop.

Do not Odin CF-Auto Root and you will be stock

how to get back to tmobile original settings and software?

Hi,
A few weeks ago I flashed my rom and now Im trying to get back to the original tmobile settings/software so that I can sell my phone. I have no idea how to do this. If someone could give me step by step instructions, that would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you =)
there is a thread here with links to the original roms including the t-mobile rom...shouldn't be hard to find. Just flash and boom, phone is like it was when you bought it.
Browse into my sig and look in smart phone\roms and find T-mobile something .6
download and use a romupdate.exe to install

[Q] I need help unrooting my phone.

Okay so I'm a noob with rooting Samsung phones. Well I think somehow I did a bad flash I used the one click method and ever since then I've had continuious problems with my phone. Nomatter which rom I flash I have the same problem a constant reboot that gets stuck in a bootloop and the only way to stop it is to pull the battery out also it shuts off in the middle of the night while charging. I was going to use odins unroot but every link I find is not working. I finally downloaded odin3 1.62 but I can't find the files or instructions to use it. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.
The roms I have tried are:
Syndicate
Mammons 2.2
Epic experience
And I believe heroic.
Currently running mammons 2.2
Thanks again.
Check the stickies in the development section, there is even a link to the wiki which lists the instructions and has links to the necessary files.
To save you a couple clicks, go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
The first link in the first post goes to instructions on how to use Odin. The second link is the DI18 file used to flash your phone back to stock.
I have never tried the 1.61 version of Odin, or the 528.pit file, but the page with the instructions has the older version and a link to the 512.pit... I know for a fact that those work just fine, so I would suggest using those first before trying the newer files.
Hey thanks for all the help. My Epic is back in working order. Need to find a better way to root now.

First off this needs to be in the development section, this is themeing. The best way to root is with the one-click posted by noobnl. Version 2.40 should be compatible with any ROM on here, and it is very easy to use. Just follow the instructions in the sticky in the dev section.

[Q] Unlocking my SGH-T999 with Jellybean 4.1 Update

Hey all,
I have NEVER tried to unlock or root a phone before, but I have the desire to try it now.
I have the T-mobile SGH-T999 with the new Android Jellybean 4.1.1 (Build Number JRO0L.T999UVDLJA)
I want to try to root my phone, but I would like to keep as much of the the new update (Jellybean) as possible instead of reverting to ICS. What I'm wondering is, what should I do to root the phone, and what programs are preffered, etc. Also, I was wondering how to back up my current build in case I want to set it back to default in case of warranty issues that I had to return it.
I am sure others have asked... maybe this would be a good sticky, I don't know... but I am hoping someone will take the time to point me in the right direction.
I need to know
a.) What I need to backup pre-root
b.) What software is best to root
c.) Any special instructions for rooting that may be specific for this build or this phone
d.) How to un-root in case I need to return the phone.
Any help would be appreciated, and apologies in advance if this is a repeated question. I just figured I'd ask because of the new update.
Thanks!

I would think the easiest is to use the root injected rom from this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771687
It is what I did and I have full root access and stock rom with no counter tripped. Backup preroot will be difficult but as long as everything is set up with google, you should be able to get all of your contacts back but not settings. Once rooted, you can use titanium backup. Great program. If you want to unroot you can use the same method you used to root but you can just odin back to the original rom again. If you like my response please click on Thanks.
Thanks!
I took a look at the thread you sent me, and have contacted the original member to get step by steps, just to make sure I dont screw it up.
Hopefully it will work as desired.
Thanks for your help and response!

The person who wrote the thread may or may not have time to give a more detailed run-through.
I used that thread to root my phone - honestly, all the instructions have already been given in it. I have never done anything like this and I just followed the instructions as given - the process is covered completely. I'm not sure what more they could tell you.
Not trying to be rude. Just understand that they have already provided a full guide and it might be more considerate to ask questions to the open forum about any step that is troubling you - that way anyone who has free time can answer.
Ok

Thanks for that, I guess I just wanted to make sure I wasn't leaving anything to chance. Since the phone is a pretty penny, I didn't want to be screwed if I tried to root and somehow screwed up the phone.
I'll see if he responds in the next few days, if not, I'll give it a go.
thanks again!

It's so easy, you'd be hard pressed to screw it up.
Step 1): Download the Samsung USB Drivers from their site
Step 2): Download the pre-rooted stock firmware from the previously listed link here at xda(make sure you get the 4.1 with root)
Step 3): Download ODIN
Step 4): Plug phone into PC and launch ODIN
Step 5): Click "PDA" and then browse to the firmware you downloaded
Step 6): Hit Flash.
Step 7): Wait, wait some more. Wait more.
Step 8): Watch phone reboot and sweat manically as its your first time and you think you've bricked your phone.
Step 9): Tinker like a madman when your phone comes back and you see its rooted.
Step 10 through ifiniti): Continue to tinker, eventually find rom manager and aftermarket roms. some good, some bad.
PM me if you want and I can walk you through it via IM or something. I can even throw you my rom, which is essentially stock with all the tmobile BS removed.
Awesome (Easy) walkthrough

And then, if I need to send it back, I'd have to unroot the phone too, so I wanted to make sure I saved whatever I needed to. As for using yoru version without the bloatware, the bloatware doesn't bother me, since I use the Visual Voicemail, and the My Account features to manage the account for my wife and I. I just want to make sure I'm injecting the right stuff.
Thanks a lot for your help and the walkthrough above

You can always run a debloated rom and then reinstall the tmobile specific stuff.

Want to root a Samsung Galaxy note 2 please help

Hello all,
I have just received a Samsung Galaxy note 2 4G and want to root the phone, backup imei and install a custom rom.
I have a few guides but would like some assistance to make sure i am doing it correctly.
I was going to use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032849 and use number 3.
I am unsure if it is 100% secure and also when i select disable disploit does that then mean the phone is no longer rooted?
I was also going to backup the phone using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308546 but should i sue this before or after root?
I then wanted to install cwm but need help in doing so.
I also notice the phone i got from Hong Kong came with a france rom, how can i install a rom from Australia?
If anyone can help me i would really appreciate it.
Cheers

Need help unrooting and going back to stock on my samsung galaxy s III

hey guys. I am kind of a noob, but i have been rooting my phone for awhile. I installed cyanogen installer and let it do all the work and i am having a difficult time getting it off because it is simply not performing well on my phone and I would like to just go back to the way it was. I have heard some complications about upgrading to 4.3 and then rooting and not being able to unroot and go back to stock samsung. Any help would be great. Odin has been failing and I just feel stuck. How can i unroot and go back to 4.3 on my galaxy s 3? Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been answered. I am just having a hard time getting everything in order.

If you are already on 4.3 bootloaders, then this should do the trick: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486

Welcome to the forum! This should really be in the Q&A section. Also, if you'd searched the forum, you would have seen, at least, a couple of threads that can help you ...
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Guide to returning to stock 4.3 via custom recovery
2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660
Guide to returning to stock 4.3 via Odin. Please go to the last pages for the single Odin flash-able file
Either option would return your phone to factory stock ROM, unroot and install stock recovery

Thank you so much guys. I honestly bricked my phone earlier this week trying a different way and thankfully got it out of its endless loop. This worked. One more thing though. MY gps has gone to Sh*t. Any fixes for that? thanks!!

Glad to know it worked for you. Not sure about the GPS. You may try doing a factory reset to see if this will help.
