About a month or two when the official update for the Ascend P6 became available, I installed it and upgraded my phone to Android 4.4.2 (from 4.2) and Emui to 2.3 (from 1.x). Anyway, I've been having issues with that as it started to overheat and work slow, so I decided to revert back to the original state. (Unless there are fixes for the overheating in your experience?)
How do I do that? I found a topic here about reverting to Android 4.2, but I'm not sure which version my phone used to have... Anyway, here's my phone information if someone could shed some light:
Huawei P6-U06
Android 4.4.2
Emotion UI 2.3
Baseband version IMC1202_PENTA
Kernel version 3.0.8-00800-g4e7741b
Build number P6-U06V100R001C150B536
Custom version CUSTHRVC150D536
Thanks in advance.

Android 4.4 KitKat Update is Coming to Ascend P6
Most of you might know that Google has released the latest version of Android called Android 4.4 “Kitkat” just a few days ago. Android 4.4 brings optimizations to the current Android 4.3 jellybean and sources claim Android 4.4 is much faster than the Android 4.3. Android 4.4 also includes a replacement for the current dalvik virtual machine called “Android ART” (Android RunTime). This new feature said to improve application responsiveness by 100%.
So getting back to the topic, Huawei Device, chairman “Yu Chengdong” mentioned that they are working to bring Android 4.4 Kitkat update to the Ascend P6 by the end of January next year. Information about this were posted on Sina Weibo and Baidu forums.
According this information it looks like Huawei won’t bother with Android 4.3 and they will provide Android 4.4 firmware update with Emotion UI 2.0. Huawei hasn’t mentioned about their plans for the other devices yet. But when thinking about current situation on Huawei firmware updates its really unlikely that the other Huawei smartphones will ever get Android 4.4. And its worth noting that if Ascend P6 gets Android 4.4 update, initially it will be only for the Chinese version of the phone. International update can take few months more.

Hello.
I haven't seen an official Kitkat update for the P6-U06 - International Edition (i have the B113, JB 4.2.2 version).
As Huawei seems that it doesn't care about it, i want to update mi stock ROM to a fully functional Kitkat custom ROM.
Which ones are the most recommended???
I've seen versions B5XX, to miui, etc, but with huawei, i haven't worked with updates (i had a samsung cellphone, then an LG G, with which i didn't have problems finding the best ROMs), so i need a little help here.

B510, B511 and B512 are Official International KitKat Updates.
Yep i think there is also an B513 by now
But if you want a custom Rom, there is CyanogenMod 11 (newly arrived!), Paranoid Android and OmniRom
In my opinion CM11 and PA are the best
So I got my p6 not long ago, and i figured that the android version is still 4.2.2 jelly bean. The EMUI is also 1.6 still with firmware B116.
I want to know which one is best to update first as I am still quite new to the whole android system.
Which one should I update first to prevent issues on my phone?: the android version to kitkat or the EMUI?
Also, does updating the android version change the firmware?

Updating the android does upgrade the emui and changes the firmware too. Strarting from B10x to B132 firmwares are running android jellybean 4.2.2 with emui version 1.6, from B506 to B508x are firmwares with android kitkat 4.4.2 and emui 2.0 (but these are Chinese ones), from B510 to B521 are kitkats with emui 2.3 (international ones) and from B704 and above are kitkats with emui 3.0 (both chinese and international can be found).

I dont think official lollipop is /will be available for any of the galaxy s4 mini models. I would advise you to go to sammobile.com and look for the latest firmware for your device(Region specific) and download it. It will be the latest one and it will also serve as a backup official firmware. There after you can root your device(or do any other experiments for that matter), if something goes wrong there is a backup to fall back on.

Emui 2.3 IS on 4.4.2, while emui 1.6 is on 4.2.2, so everything you are seeing is normal.
