Since yesterday I have been getting warnings that the site security certificate names don't match. This is a Tab S 10.5 running CM 12.1 using Dolphin browser.. (No Google services installed)

Well at least it was entertaining. I think maybe I just am not a great fit for forums. I am just an old coder I speak zeros and ones. To me it makes no sense to let your security certificate name not match.
Cheers and good luck

OP has deleted his account, but not sure why he would get this, as the main site does not use SSL certificates. It could have been caused by an external domain running SSL using an invalid certificate, or someone was sniffing his traffic with a fake certificate. Hard to say. But I didn't hear of any other reports of errors with SSL certs.

Hi xda ;-)
Iam actually using opera mobile to write and read here.
But i think, it would be more comfortable to do it with the xda premium app.
I would like to pay with a paysafecard.
3€ for the xda premium app and a special threatment with .apk delivery for me.
Send me the app direkt link via pm.
ok?
Ps: i allready tried the transparent xda app, but i cant login. I think a admin needs to activate my acc for use with tapatalk/xda?
Have a nice day.
Greets ;-)
There is a free version available

I dont think he is talking about piracy i think he is just after an alternative method to pay for the app.
Sent from my AWESOME DZ
Yeah iam talking about to pay via an alternative way. Not piracy.
Ok, i just tried the free version..
But it seems, that tapatalk/xda have issues or does not support my username.
Any way to solve that ?
Except to make a new account..
I think if a admin could change my username it would go..
But it looks cool.. Even when viewd in tapaxda. And yeah, its the app that doesnt support the • Sign, as i just found out.
Edit2 i have a solution allready , this thread can be del eted.
There is a free version in the Android Market.
Content from security.rltk.us, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Is what I'm getting. anyone else?
I also got this. Xda needs to do something. I hope all the users have good paid antivirus. Not the the free or hacked kind.

I also got this message, but not on every page. I think it's because of some special ads on the side / top which might be untrustworthy?
Yar, getting it too.
i to got it but webroot showed nothing in the scan, weird?
I confirmed its from a new ad that Xda is running on some of their pages, If you enable adblock on xda (i hate doing that becasue i support this site) the warning goes away.
Granted xda needs to do something.

how do i do that?
The malware is just probably some add sites on which they embed php codes inside the image files for tracking page views. Pretty harmless to me

If you are a chrome user.. you need to add an adblock extension from chrome store..
Firefox means addon of adblocker ... well till this issue gets resolved.. later you can remove it..

Have a tab 3 10.1 and also (at home) have a wifi brother printer HL3045CN. Have DL'ed the 'Samsung Mobile print' app to try to be able to print through WiFi. It does not seem to be able to fine the pronter. I am using the current correct address of 192.168.1.1 (confirmed that it is the current address used).
Can anyone shed any ideas on this or reccomend a better app?
Many thanks. John

Thank you for such a prompt reply. Unfortunately my printer (brother HL-3045CN) is not in the compatible listing of Brother printers. The only work around that I am using is to use 'Dropbox' and then print from my laptop. None the less, thank you for suggestion...
I use the PrinterShare App, it works really well.
I paid for the premium version, but I think there is a free version with less features for you to try with your Brothers printer.

Thank you for your suggestion. Again for me, this app also didn't have an available driver in its listings so I tried a manual suggestion and picked a printer somewhere near the model. Unfortunately it wasn't compatible enough. Thank you for your help never the less.

Did you try contacting the App developer and asking if the they can add a driver for your printer? This App is updated on a regular basis, so perhaps they might be willing to add your printer to there app.
Doesn't cost anything to ask.

Wrote to app programmers and they have replied with the following
unfortunately we are not sure when or if we are going to be able to create an Android driver for this
printer. Non-native drivers that are available in the app's library are not compatible with HL-3045.
So I'll keep looking, Thanks to all for your encouragement and help.

Im assuming you have a PC connected to the printer you have now correct?
Go to www.google.com/cloudprint follow the setup instructions, it does not matter what kind of printer you have it will work.
get this app on your phone/tablet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pauloslf.cloudprint&hl=en
and you should be able to get it set up to print from any android device.
Er No...

No, I haven't, the printer is connected on our network through WiFi, as we have 3 laptops running in our household. Works fine from all three. The Tab 3 does see the printer WiFi connection, it just doesn't recognise the printer.

Could someone with some expertise with apps look into the app and see if its reliable or not?

I wouldnt trust it, until theres an app coming from apple.
According to The Verge the data is sent to China then to Apple. They recommend using throwaway Apple ID's instead of your primary one

Not only that though but apparently the app can install apks on your device without your permission if installed. I wouldn't trust this app at all. Cool concept but providing too much access to the developer and who knows who else.
I also read about this app. For Apple devices to think it's an apple device messaging them, the text you send, has to go to a third party server in China, and then to the recipient. Use at your own risk.

Your advice would work... if Google hadn't already pulled it from the Play Store.
Can somebody Please PM me with the apk or post it here ? The app was free (I guess), so it isn't warez right ?
EDIT: I found the app, but when I try to login the verify goes to about 50% and then nothing happens. Anybody else having this problem ?
Don't trust it.

If there's any chance it's from apple, don't trust it.
I believe XDA doesn't have its own API, e.g. so people could write 3rd party mobile apps for XDA? Or OAuth2 support?
I've been using reddit recently and noting the nice ecosystem of 3rd party apps they have.
The tapatalk app works nicely. But you're right, there aren't really any other options.

Good point. I guess that means there is an API, of sorts.
But I think its some sort of proprietary API developed by tapatalk and implemented via plug-ins to the common forum systems.
The Tapatalk API is documented quite nicely: https://tapatalk.com/api.php
Currently fiddling around with it.
Hmm, I was just thinking about installing a bugtracker software on my server.
But I'd like to make sure, that the users have a valid XDA user account.
It'd be nice, if that could be checked via an oAuth API
Or XDA would have to provide a bugtracker where every XDA user can request a sub-project. ^^
