I'm considering getting the Note 2 but unsure if I need the N7100 N7105, or does it matter? I'm in a 4G LTE area in Houston..

You can only get n7100 with hspa+ data speed. N7105 is LTE version that does not support US LTE band. If you want the LTE speed, your only option is to wait for at&t brand note 2.
I'm facing a dilemma... n7100 or at&t brand note 2?... LTE or hspa+... battery life differences.... ugh! So confused!

Can you explain why the N7105 won't work on AT&T's network despite it working in the 1900mhz baseband? I thought theoretically AT&T would be the only network compatible with the N7105 radios.
Almost all the other LTE networks in the US run on other frequencies which are explicitly not compatible, but not AT&T.

EDIT: N7105 LTE operates on 800, 900, 1800, and 2600mhz. That's why. As far as I know only Sprint's LTE network is theoretically compatible on the 800mhz baseband, and they don't offer SIM cards. :-/
Hey guys,
So I know this may be a noob question but I bought my Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 yesterday in Italy. I know that Italy is getting 4G/LTE in 800/1800/2600 Frequencies. My N7100 accepts the 1800 mhz GSM frequency.
Does that mean I will be able to access the 4G?
If not, can I do something? Flash a radio?
If there is no solution with my current phone, ill need to get another phone and spend another 699 eur.
I know many say you need the Note II LTE but it will be on 700 and 2100, not the ones offered in Italy.
My friend has the same issue with his brand new SIII.
Ideas? Anyone help?
2G, 3G and 4G (LTE) can use various freqs in different regions. Sometimes they even share the same freq. A 1800Mhz 3G does not mean that 1800Mhz 4G will work. It's different a modem by hardware and software in the phone.

So there is absolutely nothing that I do? What about flashing new modems?

Your N7100 doesn't have an LTE radio, so it is never going to work on LTE.

That depends on the LTE bands that the device supports. You are looking for LTE band 3, which is 1800MHz.

From what I know only the N7105 has a LTE radio built in.

The official LTE versions of the Note 2 and S3 from Hong Kong are tri-band LTE models. Running LTE bands 900mhz 1800mhz and 2600 mhz. So as long as your carrier has LTE in any of those bands it will work. The iphone 5 is only 1800mhz. I am currently using 4G on 1800 and 2600mhz as my carrier runs both bands.

Does anyone know if the T-Mobile version will support the new 700mhz band?

Everything I've read is that it supports Band 17 of the 700mhz & Tmobile has Band 12 of the 700mhz spectrum. There's speculation that a software update could provide support down the road, but that's not a guarantee.

Couldn't find this anywhere in this forum. Will the international Note 4 have an LTE signal in USA on ATT?

Hi there,
I have a Verizon Note 4 (Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910V - 32GB Verizon) which is unlock. I am going to use with Canadian Carrier called WIND.
Wind right now using AWS, with bands 1700/2100 MHz.
I would like to know what I have to do so it will work on WIND network ?
Can I just change base band ??? or Flash to T mobile firmware ?
Please advise.
Thanks
