Question about clean install H815 10C STOCK ROM + KDZ
For very clean install can i wipe "dalvik, system, data, internal storage, cache" ? Except external sd where installation files are.
After that, should i install system boot, modem, system and in which order ?

Florent

You only need to flash the very large rom zip file and that's it :good:
Thanks.
That works but i have a little problem.
After installation, it is impossible for me to setup phone with gsm network. I can do it only with wifi...
Is it the same for you ? Any solution ?
The file factory.img in Codefire directory is the original stock recovery or the file recovery.img should be used to restore the stock recovery?
Germany (Europe Common)
Hi all!
My phone as it came clear is a LG-H815 but when I am unlocking lg says it is "Germany (Europe common), and it can't be unlocked... So it stops working, and wont go further...
My question is that: can I root it without the unlocking procedure, because I need that root soooo bad.
And if can root it, what is the procedure?
Thank you all for your kind answers!

Hi, I got some Problems with a clean flash. After wipe everything I flash only the large file zip (1.4GB), but after flash, TWRP show there is no OS installed. Don't know why. When I flash Zip File dirty over 10A it works. Strange!
Have everyone the same Problem?
Awesome thank you. I was getting bothered with the whole "update" message that kept popping up on my phone.
Just a noob question though. Do I have to reset my phone in order to update or can I just update the system and keep all my data in it (I know I will lose root though but that's easy to fix)?
reset all?
i did install this rom. i installed lot of crap (apk) i want a reset xD
what should i do to make a "full new installation" in 10C with this very ROM?
what happens if i wipe the "system" in reovery mode?
thx (im not english)
Will i be able to change my software version from 10b-HKG-xx to a EUR one doing this?

Has anyone else tried installing the camera mod on this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/stock-h815-10c-stock-rom-kdz-t3141866)? I'm don't see the new options that I should see after flashing. I've also tried installing manually without success.
fine
merci !
I guess no one except Autoprime can help us with new updates, but since his phone is broken there is no big chances for project development. Maybe we can altogether collect some amount for him to buy a new phone?
Hey i'm getting my LG G4 H815 today
Question
1 - What's the purpose of flashing this rom if it's just stock or did I miss something here?
2- What's KDZ?
3- I'll be using T-Mobile, do I need to flash a specific modem or will being on stock radio be fine?
I"m coming from a OPO & N6, so I'm trying to test this phone to see if I will like it.
Thanks
Is there a chance to get TWRP-flashable stock rom H815 10D. Or how to make it itself? Don't want to loose cutom recovery and all other goodies and recover all of them from the scratch

Using the LG Flash Tool to flash the KDZ in "Normal Flash" mode, rather than "CSE Flash" mode will install the stock Rom and remove TWRP and root.
Your apps and data remain on the phone.
Once installed, simply re-flash TWRP using the instructions in the thread below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/howto-unlock-twrp-root-1-thread-t3130538
... and then re-flash supersu via TWRP and you're done.
The whole process takes less than 10 minutes.

Re-enabling before the flash wouldn't hurt - I would go ahead and re-enable.

Hi, I made a mistake flashing gomdolight wave on my lg g pro f240k stock rom. I was on Kitkat stock rom and flashed gomdolight which i believe is intended for JB only. After flashing, my phone got stuck on bootloop. I tried to download and flash another version of gomdolight which is intended for Kitkat but still, bootlooped again. What should I do? Can I flash other custom roms instead? Thanks in advance for those who would help.

First go in your recovery (if you did not install one download and install)
wipe / data
wipe / cache
wipe / davilk
wipe / system
ok, download a custom stock rom and place on your SD, this can be here
(make sure it's rom works on your device, it is 32gb or 16gb, if not this rom, look for one that is installed by the recovery)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419802
put it in the right place (follow the tutorial that is in the link)
Note: you will not install it by zip, will make a recovery.
Now that you have solved the problem of bootloop ..
You must return your original rom, for that you'll have to use the FashTools
Here in this link has step by step.

Follow the tutorial about it that you'll be fine

after all... all roms is compatible... but... the modem is other...
Use this rom... u need recovery any stock. After you stay in stock is possible u use KDZ files.. (FlashingTools)
I solved it!
Thanks to everyone who replied! I already solved it.
What I did, was flash a stock e980 version via KDZ Flasher, then I re-flashed back to my stock f240k. It worked, all signals were back.
I'm now proceeding on upgrading to Kitkat. Thanks again.

How do we flash it with flashify?

Hopefully this will Kickstart development, the roms will need to be "bumped" but id say in the next few months there will be some awesome stuff in the pipeline
Verizon here and used flashify to backup stock recovery then flash the bump file for my phone (985) twrp boots to recovery just fine.
THANK YOU-THANK YOU! To all involved in the development of this project, i had faith and never doubted.. Not once. Couldn't be more thrilled, Xmas really did come early this year!
Now let the fun begin...
Fingers crossed for some hellscore love
Just to learn what this is... A nandroid made via bumped twrp.. Is it just to restore as normal or is any extra bumping necessary of the nandroid files?
I have to upgrade from 10H to 10L and i've the Bumped recovery installed..... do i need to restore the original recovery before upgrade with LG Pc Suite?

No u can restore nandroids ,only further bumping will be needed for roms, kernels which will be done at the Dev level so when u see a posted ROM no worries on your end!
Bumped ROMS
Do you know when there will be any bumped roms released? Or when you will give the tutorial on how to bump the image files themselves?
Hypotheticaly, what would happen if I try to flash an unbumped kernel via twrp? Nothing?
In an amateurs perspective what could be the dangers of flashing in bumped twrp?

Huawei P6 B513 stock cannot load twrp 2.8.0.0
Hi All, can anyone help or guide me how to install twrp 2.8.0.0 from B513 stock? I tried using adb + fastboot to flash but i received error saying that it cannot load. Please help.....
Ok after sleepless night now i got it. the answer is given above..... thank you so much........
Another question, will there be a problem if I flashed straight to twrp 2.8.00 from stock recovery B513? just curious will i be missing any important updates coming from the early revision that may not be available in the latest one?
twpr
when i do "fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.0.img" say me "cannot load openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.0.img".
why?
Maybe you need to redownload the file, and check the spelling just in case.

I had TWRP 2.8.1.0, now I tried to get stock, HELP needed!
First of all, many thanks to @surdu_petru, as usual your works have been always appreciated!
I had TWRP 2.8.1.0 and CM11, now I wanted to go to stock (recovery and rom). So, I flashed the B510 stock files: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51718316&postcount=2
and now, when I try to go to recovery to install the UPDATE.APP in dload folder, it displays some other info with no options:
Code:
ro.build.version.release = 4.4.2
ro.product.name = UEDGE
Current build version release is not 4.2, don't need move.
USB Update Enter...
HUAWEI SDCARD&USB UPDATE AGENT VERSION 2.0
This phone is secureboot phone.
This phone is unlock state.
I searched the forums but no avail, most of them refer to older versions;
I am on android kitkat, and most of the guides I found were referring to jellybean.
EDIT: I have found the way, to go from custom to stock manufacturer rom, and to go from KitKat to JellyBean.
To downgrade from KK to JB; To go back from custom to stock w/o backups
Former details:

No, as of now there is no Customizations (besides root). The light and ultra versions are just stripped down. My next release will be a customized ROM with whatever customizations the community would like (as long as I am capable/have time to do them).

No, you would need the KitKat bootloader, ZVG Modem. I haven't tested on anything except Factory ZVG (Rooted & AutoRec). It should work with ZVD/ZVE if they have KitKat Bootloader & Flash the ZVG Modem, but this has yet to be confimed by testers.
I'm thinking of making a flash for putting factory aboot, modem & laf partitions in place for those on older firmware, but it would only work with the G2s with the LGD screen (not JDI).

You would need to update your aboot. As twrp from KitKat auto-rec put you to jelly bean boot loader.
You might be able to put lollipop auto-rec on to change your aboot to KitKat and go to recovery and flash rom and modem. But that is iffy, and may not work. But you could try.

I haven't seen the EFS issues, but TWRP gives you option to back-up. I always do that first thing when I get a new phone and copy it to a Laptop/PC. I've only had an issue back on the original LG G phone when I flashed a ported ROM and had to restore. Never happened yet on my G2 and I'm a flashaholic, though never flashed a ported ROM on G2 yet either.

2. Download this to the INTERNAL storage of your phone (not the external as card): http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/stock-h815-20g-images-kdz-flashable-t3450503
3. Boot into TWRP recovery. (Use the quick boot app from the play store if you're having trouble). If asked if you want to restore to factory settings, select yes.
4. Flash the downloaded zip file. Be patient as it will take a long time. Don't pull the battery.
If this doesn't work for you, try the kdz method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848

Your IMEI number is written on the back of the phone, under the battery. Write it into the box on this website: http://www.imeipro.info/check_lg.html
The third line tells you your phone's model. Mine is H815, for example.
Then search XDA/Google for Kdz file.
Failing that, use the LGUP tool to restore your phone. You're not the first to have this problem and everything has been answered before if you search for it.
