In the tradition of the firmware threads by @vsriram92 ... here is the full initial update zip.
Honor 6X (US version) model: BLN-L24C567
Firmware: BLN-L24C567B110
Updated Link 2017-09-09 MEGA-FULL-OTA
Rollback Package from Android 7.0 to 6.0: MEGA-ROLLBACK
You can also download both from Huawei at hihonor.com in their support area.
Thanks @adomol, repository updated with appropriate credit.
Is this the Android 7 update from the 6.0.1 ????
No, this is the stock Marshmallow firmware that shipped with the 6X.
Can this be used to downgrade from Nougat to Marshmallow? Or will it brick? Just figured I'd ask before I try, I'm stuck in a bit of a jam right now, and no firmware I've tried will apply successfully (fails at 5%). So I figure that I might have better luck going back to the stock MM that the device came with.
Edit: It looks like the download link is invalid. Any mirrors?
Both links are not working now

Go to officail website http://www.hihonor.com/us/support/index.html
You need to install the rollback package before you install the 6.0 firmware if you are downgrading from 7.0

@AnonVendetta
Thanks guys, but I was able to go back to MM yesterday, with the help of private messages from @adomol. It involved using a small rollback package and a large full package. The rollback went fine. I may or may not upgrade back up to Nougat, got some prep work to do and things to test. I've only had this device for a few days so I don't know the ins and outs of upgrading/downgrading firmware on Huawei. I'm more familiar with Samsung and Odin.

It is good that you downgraded to MM.
You'll get used to honor devices pretty quickly.
All the best

Does anyone have the OTA firmware for the Honor 6x LN-24? All the links I'm finding online are broken.
UPDATED: Official Android Pie (9) is now available for the WW variant.
Do you want the update? Read on!
You can download from here (~1,88 GB): https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE620KL/UL-ASUS_X00QD-ASUS-16.0610.1812.58-1.1.15-user.zip
You must be on WW 15.0619.1810.73 or Android Pie Beta in order to update! If you're on a different ROM, you may brick your phone!
Update method A:
Download the file - linked above
Put it on your phone to "Internal Storage" (root of Internal Storage, don't put it into folders like Download/DCIM/Android, whatver...)
Restart phone (Power button > Restart)
After restart, you'll get a notification, that a new software is available. Yes, install it. Wait until it's complete and you're done!
Update method B:
Download the file - linked above
Put it on your phone's SD card (this only works if you have an sd card in your phone - obviously)
Turn off phone
Hold down Volume Up and Power buttons for a couple of seconds (until the ASUS logo appears)
Choose "Apply update from SD card", choose the zip file and do the update
Reboot after done (or wipe data/cache if you want)
...or you can also use ADB to sideload the file, but I won't detail it now (unless requested).
About Pie notes
Camer is same as before.
Digital Wellbeing app isn't compatible with the device.
New gesture based navigation is working, new dark theme is available in ASUS theme app, new animations are also working.
Thank you for this information. The first method worked well with me.

Careful with that one. It says "TW SKU only", so it might not work/have issues with WW versions or CN versions.

Were you on WW 15.0619.1810.73? Because if you were on a version ending "1810.67", then the update fails.
What is the error message?
Stable Pie

That's the stable version released today for the Taiwanese SKU
There was a new release from Asus official website featuring the Android Pie (WW_16_0610_1812_58) like three days ago. It was featured in Asus PH and Taiwan, although I checked that two only. Although, it is unavailable since yesterday until now.
Is it safe to update this?
Ive already updated android pie with this "WW_ZE620KL-15.0619.1810.73-16.0610.1812.52-12051038-fota-user.zip" but it has many bugs. Can I update it again using this new update? Is it safe? Pls reply. If it is ok. Thanks

The update can't be found on Asus official website any longer, this would mean something, wouldn't it? In any case, it wasn't WW version, so it isn't good for European Zenfones. Am I wrong?

I just got confused because at that time I was accessing several different Asus Website (Taiwan, India, Brazil, USA, Philippines).
Although, I was able to implement the update from
version _52 to version _58. And my SKU is WW.
But I really think I got it from Asus Philippines' official website. ?
Currently, on the Asus Taiwan official website is the only one with the software update is available when I last checked.

Check again the official Asus site TW/ID/PH. Now it's updated with latest WW firmware. Version is 16.0610.1812.58. Those 3 sites has same firmware file UL-ASUS_X00QD-ASUS-16.0610.1812.58-1.1.15-user.zip.

Yep, they officially released the WW SKU today.
Hi all - what is the best way to achieve root on a fresh XZ2C out of the box?
I'd like to retain all camera functionality and quality consistent with stock rom (which I've read is possible after the latest December Pie update). I'm ok with losing DRM keys and associated features like BRAVIA display engine
From browsing this forum, I would guess the following steps are appropriate:
1. From shipped rom base, use OTA to upgrade to latest stock Pie firmware
2. Unlock bootloader using sony website
3. Install Magisk 18.0
Can anyone share their experience of advise the best way to go about this? Thanks!
I can't unlock the bootloader on my latest firmware 52.0.A.3.84 (because my region is 1313-2491 HK), and also I can't downgrade
You can check your latest firmware here xpericheck.com/device/H8324
I'm on Android oreo looking for updates and can't find them.
He says they are in the latest software version.
You probably need to do a full flash.

Hi
I know that we can manually download the stable A13 update and upgrade our phones
I understand that OnePlus are rolling out the OTA to those which took part in the open beta having priority
My question is, is it preferred to wait for the OTA and if so, will that OTA be a different version of the ones that can be downloaded?
What are you talking about?
You have the option to install the latest stable A13 versions.
Why wondering about OTA etc?
Thanks for your reply
Thinking back on the message, I was clearly overthinking it!
I'm on the latest A12 .c66 so from what I've read, it should be fine to upgrade to A13.
I was just wondering if there had been others waiting for the OTA to appear
I'll download and upgrade shortly
