I'm having the same problem as can't save camera photos to the external SD card. There is a setting in the camera app that says "store" not sure what it means but it doesn't seem to change anything.
One other thing I would like to confirm is under system settings is the "storage" setting in the prior ICS version you could format the external SD Card. Here format SD Card formats the internal SD Card. Can you format the external SD Card from settings? Not what I was expecting, guess that's why I backed everything up.
I'm running Paranoid 4.1.2 and it is fantastic and fast. I was on ICS previously and had these settings before.
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but either way Paranoid is awesome!
Thanks for your advice.
Save camera pics to external Sd card
I guess tagging onto 2 week old thread with no responses was not the best idea
Looks like saving camera pics to external sd card is not an option. I even downloaded
Camera from ver. 4.2, same thing. Only solution I can make work is use a different camera app
than google's.
Still not sure why 4.1.2 does not have an option to format the external sd card just the internal.
Still like Paranoid, seems very stable.
Hello I just installed Android Revolution HD 9.1 ROM, and the default camera application is not working because my external SD card is not class 10. It shows me a message with the restriction.
I don't want to use external memory to save the camera photos!
I remove the external SD card, reboot the phone, but camera still doesn't work.
Appreciate your help, since I don't want to change again my ROM
same problem
I am having the same problem. Were you able to figure this out?

In the camera app, under Settings, can you change the save location under "Storage"?
Did you guys post this under ARHD thread? Maybe mike isn't aware of the issue and if it's ROM related you might get better help there.

'ello mates!
I recently rooted and installed a custom ROM on me Desire 816 and for some reason, the option to move ANY app to SD is missing. I'm running CarbonROM 4.4.4 and on the Virgin Mobile USA variant. Any idea why? Did I need to install that write to SD mod or something called wp_mod.ko? I thought that was included here since I have been freely able to move things from internal and external vice-versa. Thanks in advance for any insight!
I've included a photo showing where the button "Move to SD" normally is in the settings. EVERY app I have is missing this button.
Move to SD card is still in stock ROM(including Lollipop) for apps that support that function.

Yes I saw that it works on stock. Does anyone know how to enable it in CarbonROM?
I installed CandySiX a few minutes ago and i notice that i can save photo to sdcard. Is "normal"? If yes, wich camera i should install that have the option to save to sd card? Thank you.
Hi all,
Any help would be appreciated.
I connected my LG D852 with MM to the LG software, I had a pop-up that there is an upgrade so clicked OK thinking that the data will not be wiped as long as I will be still on MM. That was wrong! ALL data are wiped including my newborn first photos which are priceless to me . I tried some apps like diskdigger and some software on the PC but all of them require root to perform. From my search, it seems like impossible to root this version of the LG . So, any help to restore these photos will be appreciated.
Additional Information:
- Photos were on the internal memory.
sd card or internal memory ?
if sd, try to restore on PC
if internal this may help https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...de-internal-memory-data-recovery-yes-t1994705
also stop using your phone (take the battery out). Files aren't actually deleted unless overwritten by another app. By using the phone you're keep writing to your memory.

Data are on the internal memory. I tried to follow the link you shared but the main issue is that the phone is required to be rooted which is not possible (to my knowledge) for the LG G3 D852.

Did you install Google Photos at any time? Perhaps it backed them up to the cloud?
