Known issue read here -

I've read about there being touch issues. I've noticed it on my lg g4 too. It's not bad enough to not like the phone but I do notice it from time to time (try to open an app and it does not register the touch). I'm hope they will send out an update to fix the issue.
Facing an issue where am unable to pull down the notification bar when the mobile is placed over some soft surface. Even multi touch app does not detect any taps. Sometime when swiping the notif bar, it recognizes that as double tap and locks the screen. Anyone facing such an issue?
With the G2, it would develop a "bar" that wouldmt recognize touch. Open a drawing program and draw all over your screen to make sure there arent any bad spots. Sounds like your g4 maybe defective.

Your sensors are FUBAR...2 options: 1. If it's still under warranty, get the panel replaced. 2. No warranty, give the phone to your kid to play with or use it as door stopper.
Lastly, ***** about how bad HTC is at handling customer complaints and vow never to buy another HTC even with a gun pointed to your head!!:cyclops::cyclops:
Hi y'all, i recently ordered a T-mobile version of the G3 online. Opened the package and booted it up. Everything worked out of the box but then i noticed something. No sound! I tried adjusting the volume settings then it froze. Did some glitch that it load parts of the screen and go back to swipe to unlock. After which a factory reset made the Marshmellow OS run stable again. It is likely a hardware issue, perhaps damage to the part of motherboard. Microphone doesn't work and there are no sounds at all. How could i tell where malfunction is on the main board/chip? I would appreciate a suggestion on what could be done about this issue. [emoji20]

Send it to an engineer in hardware because you may broke some importants parts and explain hin the problem. Is the best option.

Your right - an engineer will be able to pin point what kind of damage has been done and where on the chipboard.

Hello everyone!
So the top 3/4" of my HTC 10 stopped working about 4 months into owning the phone. I tried getting HTC to replace/repair my device, but I forgot to reset it to stock before I sent it in and they decided my warranty was now void and the logic board replacement would run me $350+. I've been using the device for over a year now by using gestures as a workaround.

I had been researching ways to change the positioning of the screen down so I could use it more or less as normal.
I came across the overscan command in ADB. I shifted the screen down to 0,300,0,0 and to my surprise the screen did the exact same thing as it was before I added the margin, just lower down the LCD.
With this I figure the problem must be a software issue instead of a hardware issue as HTC originally implied.
I am currently running ResurrectionRemix 5.8.3 although I have tried several roms and they all produce the same problem.
Is there a way to adjust the digitizers margins so that my touch will line up correctly?
It may be worth noting that when I touch the "dead" area, it does register the touch just under where I'm actually pressing.
Any and all help will be very appreciated.
Hi,anyone have this issue in the moment when start ringing on the other side, screen goes black i can wake it up only by double pressing the camera key,i read that this is common issue with xz2 phones someone has report that changing the stock dialer is making this problem goes away but not in my case,i check sensors in diagnostic menu phone says diagnostic is ok,im not using any screen protectors or covers and nothing is covering the sensors,i did full factory reset and having the same problem again,i dont have a warranty on it so any susggestion would be great.
It happened to me before once ot twice too. I think it is tied to a problem with touch while receiving calls that has it's own discussion on the Sony forums. I captured a screenshot of the problem occuring. (touch was not working until i restarted the screen)

No,the problem is happening only when im making calls, reciveing call are fine
Nevermind then
Hello,
I have the same issue, during a call the screen sometimes goes black like it was locked but then it lights up when I presse the ower button twice. That's strange but I think this is a software problem, since everything else is working well.
Basic function doesent work calling,no words
H815P with Crazy display or Phantom touches.
Buy an old LG G4 H815P with a broken screen and put its motherboard in my H815 TW case.
In principle it worked well, but when the hours of operation passed I noticed the odd ghost touch. At the end of the day the ghost touches have already become a crazy screen and the phone cannot be used.
I got a second screen, this time an H818P screen, and the same thing happened, it worked a few hours well and then a crazy screen.
flash android 6.0 kdz V20P and unlock with UsU and put LINEAGE 16, android Pie 9.0 using V20p modem.
Now the screen is much more responsive and the phone instantly goes crazy. Impossible to use it like this.

What could be the problem?
failed motherboard?
Old faulty batteries?
Any solution to try?
I can not test new batteries because the COVID19 quarantine my country is blocked and battery prices rose to ridiculous values.
