I can probably get the US Cellular much cheaper than a T-Mobile probably around $200 cheaper that is, not saying I would get one now but later around September when the G4 should be unlocked by then, For the T-Mobile network.
I notice the GSM Bands are pretty much the same and it also has the Band 12 for T-Mobile as well, I know that the US Cellular is Sim Unlocked right now and it gets LTE Data as well but not GSM calling because it goes through CDMA but when phone becomes unlocked I am sure we will be able to get the GSM calling working correctly.

LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1900 (B2), LTE1900 (B25), LTE700 (B12), LTE800 (B26)
Only band missing from US Cellular that T-Mobile has is LTE2600 (B7) but US Cellular has a few more bands T-Mobile doesn't have obviously, so is LTE2600 (B7) really needed?
H811 T-Mobile USA

LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE700 (B12)
So what do you think? Would it be a better option at a lower price or should I just stick with an actual T-Mobile phone for the T-Mobile network?
For that matter the Sprint phone is also same bands as US Cellular too, but getting a Sprint Phone sim unlocked and bootloader unlocked would probably be hard to accomplish.

I am actually a prepaid customer, so this has nothing to do with me and really it doesn't make any since for what I am asking. JUMP is a basic trade in offer if you buy into a 2 year contract, I don't see the relevance here, I am asking if what I am saying which would be a better deal US Cellular or just a T-Mobile phone, but us cellular you can get at a much cheaper price.

Actually their new program is 0 money down, pay monthly.... There are no contracts in T-Mobile anymore, so you may want to explore that as an option. Walk out of a T-Mobile store with a phone for $15. Plus they have unlimited data, not sure what US Celluar offers but heard really good things despite them being a regional carrier.

Bands aren't really the issue (IMHO). What would be the defining issue for me is actual cell and data COVERAGE where I live and work. If you're in a good T-Mobile zone, go for it.
Unfortunately, we are not and my wife will be moving her service from T-Mobile to either US Cellular or Verizon shortly.
Is the G4 from US Cellular sim unlocked or not?
Can anyone confirm it?
Just putting my 2 cents here. The t-mobile g4 is Bootloader unlocked so you can put twrp and custom roms on it now. The us cellular 1 in bootloader locked.

Each day more and more threads and comments appear regarding the Samsung Note 2, specifically the N7105 LTE version. However, I have yet to stumble across a strong enough thread discussing the cross-carrier compatibility of the N7105 version of the Note 2.
I own the SHV-E250L Korean Model of the N7105/LTE and it works wonderfully - a truly beautiful pho- well, phablet. However, I am concerned now that it might not work in the US when I return home in 8 months. Can anyone FOR SURE confirm or deny this? I know the US has LTE/4G capability across multiple carriers...and isn't the N7105 quadband? Meaning it can support 4 different band frequencies? Are any of these compatible with US 4g/LTE bands?
If I'm going to be limited to 3g in the US with this phone then I will return it and buy either the International or US version or get an altogether different phone that will work both here in Korea and back in the States.
Any one have good information (preferably with sources) that they can offer?
Also, regardless of whether I have to return it or not, I would like to be able to root and un-root the phone to use its full capacity. Well, I have already rooted it using Odin and CWM but now I need the Stock ROM for the N7105 so I can un-root it if I need to return it or use the Warranty. Anyone know where I can find this or can tell me how to un-root/reset the counter?
Thanks all!

Thanks for the advice. I found these specs for the N7105:
------------
Cellular Phone
Cellular Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
Cellular Data Links: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+
Secondary Cellular Phone
Dual Cellular Network Operation: Parallel operation
Secondary Cellular Networks: LTE2600 (B7), LTE800 (B20)
Secondary Cellular Data Links: LTE
-------------
So according to this and the information about US Networks I found and cross-referenced with, it looks like this phone WILL work both on 3G and 4G/LTE. Yay!
Anyone see a flaw in my conclusion? Also, anyone know if this version, N7105, comes factory unlocked?
Hi,
I was thinking about getting the N7105 Galaxy Note II but also wanted to make sure that it would work on the 4G networks available in the US. Can I ask where you found the specs for the N7105? I can't seem to find anything absolutely reliable (for example, GSM Arena claims that the N7100 has 4G LTE which I don't think is correct). Wikipedia lists the following bands for AT&T and T-Mobile's 4G networks in the US:
AT&T: 4G LTE @ 700 MHz and 1700/2100 MHz (AWS)
T-Mobile: 4G LTE @ 1700/2100 MHz (AWS)
There are other bands listed for T-Mobile's HSPA+ 3G/4G (1700/1900/2100 MHz), but from what I've heard, this isn't quite as fast as 4G LTE. So I'm not sure how the specs you've listed for the N7105 match up to these purported carrier network specs.
I found somewhere else saying that the AT&T's American SGN2 would be pretty much be identical to the International N7105 except for the addition of a radio for AT&T's special 700 MHz brand of 4G LTE.

I got F400S from ebay with 800 us dollars and free shipping.
For Reference Price in Hong Kong is about
F400S - $5300-5400
F400L - $4900-5000
800USD seems very expensive.

US T-mobile is 1700 and 2100 MHz, the international version of the G3 only supports 2100MHz out of those two frequency's. It looks like you need both. According to the Wikipedia they are rolling out 700MHz and 1900MHz which the international G3 supports 700MHz so you may be able to use this band (if they use it).
Thank.s will cancel my order, since we now have a release date for tmo...

I have spent quite a while trying to determine the best option of 2-3 phones and trying to decipher the models and their compatibility. I need better battery life than my current phone which is the most compatible of all with US GSM based carriers - AT&T and T-Mobile. I was debating about the Samsung Note3, S5 and especially the newer LG G3 variants - the D850 and D851 - but it's brutal to figure out all the differences. Let's assume that the phones are paid in full with no contract. Right now I'm using Straight Talk (AT&T) and I'm trying to opt for greatest flexibility.
Right now it looks like the D850 (AT&T) has the most complete set of options and I'm wondering if it's a good phone to get over the D851 and others. I'm not sure what the major downsides are. I also travel occasionally internationally but LTE really isn't nearly as important to me as it is in the US. For now, this is what I was able to come up with and I think that
LG G3 D850
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1) (NO 1700 -- critical for TMO compatibility?)
LTE2100 (B1), LTE700 (B17), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2)
LG G3 D851
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS1700/2100 (B4), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
LTE700 (B17), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2) (NO 1800, no 850 -- this seems more critical for AT&T LTE coverage)
As long as I'm getting 2Mbps, I'm mostly happy (which is more than bare 3G). I don't really stream much, just on occasion. I'd be grateful for your insights on what's the right choice here.
I'm wondering the same thing. I'm currently on T-mobile, but want the flexibility to jump onto AT&T if neccessary. I'm wondering which phone is the best to use for switching between the two networks.... if either one has a better network overlap in terms of bands actually used by both. So far it looks like the D851 may be better choice.

I ended up opting for the Samsung T-Mo phone as a result of rumors that T-Mos are generally not as crippled and non-bootloader locked phones. I'd venture to say that the same goes for the LG G3 series.
I am running the T-Mobile D851 on AT&T successfully. I also get LTE speeds pretty well in my area. Went this route since Bootloader is unlocked on T-Mobile as well as the D851 supporting Qi. Already had an investment in Qi chargers and did not want to switch. Any way, so far no issues with the TMO version on AT&T.

Initial impression seems OK.
First off the M9+ works fine on the Bell network.
How about the recent used, @grizzah.k ? (Have you ever try Rogers?)

Well as an early adopter I took the eBay plunge and bought an M9+ via China. I'm a Canadian on the bell network and moving from a HTC one M7 to the M9+ is definitely an improvement. My wife has the M8 so I think I can speak a little to the pros/cons a little.
First off the M9+ works fine on the Bell network. Since I saw the iPhone come with a fingerprint scanner I've been pretty jealous. Needless to say the M9+ scanner seems quite receptive and haven't had any issues to date. The larger qhd screen is nice and really those two features are really what made me go to the M9+ over the regular m9.
The one scary thing as an early adopter using a chineese phone getting my google apps installed ( gmail , play store, contacts , ) which I've become so reliant on. just having the ability to install any apps known to the north American market. Thanks to the xda community as there is a small writeup ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...perience-regarding-installing-google-t3111090 ) on getting them on the forum as your forced to use the chineese play store and when you can't read or understand any chineese it's a bit of a problem.
Haven't been quite able to figure out how to get rid of ChinaSense 7.0 and just go plain English but some notifications and blinkfeed is limited go chineese news but I find that minor. Hopefully there will be or already is a workaround.
Anyways 2 days in and I'm impressed. Ide reccomend going for the plunge if you're a HTC fan for sure.

T mo is OK, as it's GSM provider, and if wind is GSM too as I suppose it should be fine. But we have no Wi-Fi calling for tmo on m9+. If that matters
But as far as I know LTE bands are incompatible, so hsdpa and hsupa what you'll get, which isn't bad, but better know about the LTE. I don't know if in actuality it really doesn't work or do, but on us Amazon the Chinese seller warns about this.

Wind Mobile uses 1700 (most important) and 2100 mhz. I don't see 1700 in the specs but I don't see it for many phones and yet they end up having it.
The AT&T HTC M9 "doesn't" have the 1700 band but apparently people use it fine with T-Mobile when unlocked.
