Bootloader for Lollipop 5.x question.
Hello, I have a V500 and I'm still on stock factory Jellybean 4.2.2 ROM but am rooted. If I want to upgrade to the stock Lollipop 30A international ROM or one of the Lollipop 5.1.1 ROMs floating around which bootloader should I use? Thanks in advance!

Nevermind. I got bored and got the courage to flash the 30A Korean ROM. This is what I did.
- First I upgraded TWRP to 2.8.7.1 via Flashify.
- Then I rebooted into the new TWRP recovery and made a Nandroid backup of my 4.2.2 setup.
- Then from TWRP I flashed Skin1980's 30A Lollipop zip file and made sure I cleared cache and Dalvik after install.
- When prompted to install SuperSU, I installed it. Then it will reboot.
- Upon reboot the tablet will update ~141 Lollipop files and all my data was intact!
Basically, I followed the post here.
Hopefully LG will release a US version of the Lollipop ROM. Good luck!

S3Rx ROM on T999LUVUBNF4
Good day.
I have recently update my Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999L using kies.
Baseband version: T999LUVUBNF4
I wanted to install your ROM to my device but it says that the latest supported version is at T999UVUENC2. Is it possible to install it on UVUBNF4? Or if not, is it possible to revert back to NC2?
Your reply would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Phone unlocked
Hello there, I have my stock T999 4.3 rooted and unlocked (not factory unlocked) to use with other network. I would like to know if i flash and use this ROM will lock my S3 again? Thanks.

Best TMO S3 rom
I have to say ... this is the best TMO S3 rom without a doubt .. I've tried many KK, Lollipop , Cyaogenmod etc but not oTne comes close to the stability and battery life..
Thank you
Soft bricked my device
So I followed your instructions to the best of my ability.
1. Make sure you are on your most current modem... T999 = MJC || T999L = MK4 DocHoliday77 modem thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1880987
(My rom is the latest which is UVUENC2)
2. Full Wipe
(Did that)
3. Install ROM.
(Did that) - then afterwards it prompted me to a white page install/menu section. Since I already installed the ROM through CWM I proceeded to select "Install Kernel Only" which is apparently step #4.
4.Make sure you choose KT747, DKP or MJ2 kernel during install.
(I chose DKP to install)
5. Profit... enjoy!
(I did not enjoy since my phone never booted, it was stuck on S3 logo, had to go back into recovery!)
Soooo what did I do wrong??
I love how xda encourages new users to ask questions in the Q&A tab and even suggest that their questions are more likely to be answered that way.
Few months later, still no answer on my Q above. Btw the way roms are organized on these forums are horrible. Please fix.
I wonder if anyone knows the answer to musnyk and lazy monster Q....I would like to know also....thanks?
If I could add on to the other questions posted. I have T999L with NF4. When I install this rom, end up with Baseband of NF4, Build of NC2 and seem to lose LTE capability. Would love to get the proper steps when dealing with an NF4 phone.
EDIT: Seems to be missing: persist.radio.lteon - do you know how I can add/create this?
To update the bootloader modem
The baseband version I currently have is T999UVUEMJC
I got the new NC2 bootloader modem package downloaded.
Complete NC2 bootloader and modem *Added 3-22-14* Thanks to @Synthetic.Nightmare

Help please
I recently updated my Samsung galaxy 3 Sm-T210 via Samsung Kies to Kitkat 4.4.2, after noticing that the new upgraded os was draining battery at a fast rate as compared to the old Os so I flashed it with old stock firmware 4.1.2 via Odin. Now the device keeps flashing the starting samsung logo and wont load any further.
So I flashed the device Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (Sm-T210) with 4.4.2 firmware via odin again and it has started working but the battery is still dropping quickly as compared to the previous Os 4.1.2 Jelly bean. Is there a possibility to run my device with the old 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Os or do I have to live with this latest updated Os 4.4.2 (KitKat) with low battery life for the rest of my life?
I've been told that the kitkat 4.4.2 bootloader wont allow the old 4.1.2 to load so is there a tutorial which can help me unlock this kitkat boot loader so i may revert to 4.1.2 ? How should i Install this blackhawk 2.1 kernel into my current kitkat os and would that help me to flash my device with old stock firmware. Please help.
I think I did same thing, but that was long ago. I can't recall all I did. However, I flashed it with Odin that is 4.1.2 after upgrading to KK. It worked.
Try to wipe it through recovery first before flashing with Odin
Friend i flashed the kernel three times but to me it doesnt works... my tablet continues dont charge offline... Please, can you give me a help???

P600 KK 4.4.2 to 4.3 Stock ROM
I have TWRP and am running Hyperdrive KK RLS5.1. I really miss the normal split-screen on Android 4.3 and the fact that it never went to immersive mode. Can I use this toolkit to flash back the ROM for Android 4.3 that I can download from SkipsSoft? Or is there a better way, or no way to go back?

You want to return to stock rom. Download stock rom 4.3 for your region from sammobile.com and flash with odin.

Will that work as easily as that? I have read elsewhere that once you have gone to 4.4.2 with Knox, that you can't go back. Supposedly it will brick my device. What I failed to mention in my post is that before installing the custom ROM, I was running stock 4.4.2 Please respond.

if i upgrade to the LP bootloader (then flash a LP TW-based, no-knox rom) and later decide to go back to KK, can i simply flash a KK bootloader then restore a KK backup/nandroid? or would odin prevent me from doing so?

You don't need to flash a kk boot loader, lp bootloader is backwards compatible with kk.
Just flash your nandroid.
I recently flashed the Swiss Lollipop Rom and I want to downgrade to KK because the wifi is very unstable.
I'm very new to Samsung world (including Kies, odin) so I would like to have a little clarification.
My tablet was a UK rom with CSC BTU, then I flashed swiss lollipop (CSC BOC).
Is it ok if I flash this file http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/43720/T700XXU1ANL1_T700BTU1ANL1_BTU/ with odin?
Do i need to flash something else? (bootloader?)
That will be fine. No need to mess with bootloader, though the Rom will already contain the bootloader.

hey thanks for this thread. i followed your instructions and thankfully it was successful.
I installed cloudycat6 2.0 instead of lamhoang and i wondered if i can still go back to stock. i've searched the cloudycat6 thread but i cant find answers. Can i install the recovery apk file in your instructions then wipe and flash lamhoang?
edit:
can i use lg flash tool to install the stock rom F460K20C_00.kdz directly while im running on cloudycat6 so that i can root it and install lamhaong afterwards ?
Better rom?
Hi guys! which is better for f460? cloudyfa or lamhoang one?
