Rolling back from Lollipop - Sony Xperia ZL

Hello. I am about to purchase a lightly used Xperia ZL C6506 that has been updated to Lollipop. After reading a few threads it looks like stock lollipop really isn't suiting the ZL so far. I understand how to work with Flashtool. I guess what i am asking, i am looking for the firmware file that was most stable (sofftare and hardware wise) with this phone in its Kit Kat or even Jelly Bean era.
Preferably something that was released by Sony themselves. Can someone point me into the correct direction? (I searched for Stock firmware, but they all seemed to be made by someone and not Genuine from Sony)
Eg: I see a list of stock Z3 firearms in the link below.....is there one like this for the ZL? Also, all i need to do is load that firmware into Flashtool to my phone to revert it back? (Phone is all stock non rooted)

EDIT::::: Found my Answer. It was a little hard to locate stock 4.4.4 for C6506.

Xperia Arc GB to ICS look?

Hey, I am using my xperia arc. And I would like to have my UI look like ICS, but still stay on Ginger Bread since it is more stable according to the official Sony website. I currently have the .62 software, Android 2.3.4, boot loader unlocked and I have no idea what I should do after my boot loader's unlocked. Moreover, I have the flash tool software, but I don't get what would happen if I flash some software (i.e the global generic software from Sony). And I would like to have a tutorial on how to get my phone look like ICS. So if you guys can help me out it would be great cheers.
*Please also show me the download link and the phone is not ROOTED.
Please do a little search in the ARC Theme section. Everything is there. And your phone must be rooted to use any UI MOD.
For rooting instructions check the ARC General section. The procedures threads are in top. All are sticky.

[Q] Xperia Arc S upgrading to vanilla ICS

Hi, I am wondering how to Flash vanilla ICS onto my Xperia Arc S. I got it directly from Sony via Amazon and doing some checks the boot loaders is unlocked out of the box as well as everything else.
My Xperia is using Sony's current ICS. However its UI sucks and its lacking many of ICS features especially the Contact Book which is replaced by Sony's own, which is worst than it was in 2.3.4.
So if some one can some one point me to right place to find more or less Stable ARC S rom that is battery friendly as well and has full ICS feel along with magority of apps from ICS

You have two options;
1. check if 4.0.4 is released for your phone via SI - http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/38388
2. flash an ftf via flashtool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583010
I think 4.0.4 is quite stable and performs alright for myself, don't really use it for anything then texting and calls so couldn't comment on games. However if you did want a custom rom head over to the Dev section.

Bell Users I need a FTF

I have a Zl , I updated it to 4.2.2 ( You can actually see my thread still !!)
The battery life is pretty bad!! Ive read its better on 4.1.2, so now I wanna go back to it to try it out.
Does anyone have the official 4.1.2 Bell FTF I can use?
Or has anyone flashed the Generic US on there Bell device with No issues?? I believe I need the .434 so I can root it.

I had the same battery issue with 4.2.2 among other things so i reverted back to 4.1.2 and I am happy with it. Ill flash back to 4.2.2 once a new build comes out.
I don't think the Bell or Rogers FTF's have been leaked out but you can flash the Sony generic for your C6506. I have the Rogers version of the phone and I'm running generic build 253 without issues. You can flash any 4.1.2 for your C6506, they can all be rooted even if your Bootloader is locked. The build 253 requires more steps to root but it can be done. So just pick your poison!
I've flashed Generic US 10.3.A.0.423 to my Bell Xperia ZL and don't have battery issue. After flashing, I root it using DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit (perf_event exploit), installed Battery Calibration from market.

Hey C126
I don't know if it is possible by an original Firmware as Sony haven't announced this.
Maybe our friends from XDA could develop a custom Firmware for 4.3 to LT26w.
Anyway, let me know if you find this new information too, I'm having a proximity sensor problem with my LT26w after I updated to JB (I asked for help in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56680427#post56680427) and I'm anxious for an update, custom or original, to try to fix this bug in my device!

I NEED STOCK FIRMWARE FOR XPERIA Z1 COMPACT 14.4.A.0.157 UK or EU1

Hi, im sorry if this is in the wrong place but i desperately need stock 14.4.A.0.157 firmware for my D5503, i was able to find it sometime ago and flash it to my phone but i just cannot find it anywhere. i recently had a problem with my phone so i messed around with it and now i lost 4.4.4, and i think lollipop is just awful.
can anyone help.
much appreciated
Why don't you get this:
v108
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2862578
or v157
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2957307
I do recommend v108 since it has better battery life and v157 doesn't bring any big changes.

Check this out - http://sonyfan.vn/diendan/threads/50274/ You need to have Mega installed, and you might need to use Chrome or similar to download; other browsers don't do well with Mega.
