Hi All,
I picked up 2 Fire TVs and a Fire TV Stick this past week while in the US. I already have a Fire TV at home and it worked fine. Setup of the Fire TV Stick wasn't as seemless as it seemed that adbFire would get stuck in a loop and never install Kodi so I did it manually through adb.
I've only tried setting up one of the new Fire TVs and I can get Kodi installed and it runs without issues (14.2 - 2015-03-26) however after installing IkonoTV and linking it through Llama (1.2014.11.20.2330) it doesn't load from the Home screen. I've launched Llama and tried to "Test Actions" the screen flickers and goes back to Llama never loads Kodi.
Current software version for the Fire TV is 51.1.5.0_user_515012720.
Update:
I figured it out. I updated to 51.1.5.3_user_515040320 and it started working.

Having some interesting issues with my firetv with xbmc that I never had when using an apple tv with xbmc.
I run a mysql server. It is running and XBMC Attaches to it perfectly.
But my issues are that as follows
1. Watched state disappears if fire tv is rebooted
2. cannot resume my movies from where I left off
3. some posters revert to poster I don't even have.
Wondering if anyone has anything I can try to see where the problem is.
Mysql runs on my mac pro, with the xbmc media files store on the hard drives there.
My fire tv uses sources.xml which has all my sources mapped.
Content settings don't stay on my setup for type of content.
My main concern is it is as if the database for xvmc is wiped every time I reboot the fire tv...
This never happened on openelec with my apple tv 1st gen running 13.2 and never happened when on eden on apple tv 1st gen original os, and never happened on xbmc 13.2 on an android mx2 box I had.
Everything was working with resume, watched state, etc on the other systems that ran 13.2, so not sure why the fire tv is doing it.
Fire tv is rooted, updates blocked, boots into XBMC using the xbmc launcher.
Advanced settings file has all the settings and I know it is using it because I have checked and it is using it.
I am at a loss as to why it seems as if my database is constantly resetting on mysql....
Guys i put kodi on my fire TV stick and all worked well running along TV addons for a couple of hours. Then the stick crashed. I've kept kodi on there but it has deleted my TV addons and I can't reinstall it. It download fine but halfway through extracting the file it causes the stick to crash. I'm running helix 14.2 but 14.1 on my normal fire TV and that's fine
I've gone back to helix 14.1 to see if that solves it.
Kodi is crashing on my fire stick after I plugged it into a samsung smart TV. Also the Bluetooth remote is a nightmare. All worked well when it was connected to a normal TV (not smart) any ideas
Hi, has anyone had any luck with this app side-loaded on the new Fire TV? Installed it OK, but when launched, it brings up the NBC logo, then just goes back to the main menu. It works fine on my Fire TV Stick running OS3. Same things happens with Dish Anywhere, working fine on Stick, but not on new Fire TV?
Hi,
I had sideloaded Directv for tablet app onto my 2nd gen Fire TV Stick running latest version and successfully login to my account. However, the app is keep crashed randomly every time I run the app. it is a matter of time, sometime it crash during navigation within the app, sometime during streaming LiveTV.
Anybody had same problem with me? Please let me know how to get rid of it. Is it crashed because of Fire TV stick have lower spec than Fire TV so that it can't handle Directv app? Does Fire TV handled it well?

I seen various reports, some on Reddit about being able to run the latest version of VuDu for Android TV (6.1.1129) on an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
On my Gen Stick, it shows a splash screen then immediately stops. Sometimes it shows the splash screen again withoutpressing anything.
I've mainly seen people mention that they use it on their Fire Stick 4K.
Other than newer OS, is there something stopping it from running ona Stick Gen 2? It says arm-7a and Android 5.0+ which should be no problem then.
I can start the tablet version of VuDu it will just require a mouse to be used.
