HTC One X sunk in the waters

I have an HTC One X that was dropped in the water.
The guy only wants the data, and i took it out of it and gave it to him. So he told me that the devices is all yours.
I've been trying to fix it ever since he told me that.
The phone boots up normally, sound is working, vibration is too.
The screen's backlight, although set to maximum, it too dim due to water damage. So i took it to a repair shop, he replaced the screen, and a piece of hardware inside the board, but the screen works for about 10 minutes then completely goes off. So we put back the old screen and peice and the same thing happens, 10 mins of dim brightness... then no brightness at all. I'm currently trying to root it so i could stream and control it via PC. I now have it with a very dim screen that works for 30 minutes then needs to rest for 5 minutes so it could go on again.
Any suggestions on what i should replace to really solve that problem is very much appreciated as i really would like to make this device go alive again.
Put him in rice..And it will pull water out from phone..If that doesn't help I think that motherboard is too damaged..

we actually tore it down and left its parts for about a week in a box, would it still help if i did that?
Was the box warm? If not maybe there is still a little bit of water on connectors or somewhere..Cause I had the same problem on other phone..

Help or Suggest me (Broken Note 2)

Ok Guys, I broke my Note 2 protective glass, after some time accidentally display also break by my hands (I pushed little hard in my note screen)
now the phone is switching on but no display (when I power on the blue led blinks on top of screen and sounds when I push volume up or down)
so I sent it to Samsung care for display replacement and they charged me 6500/- Rs. After 10 days they called me and telling me that my device mainboard is defected. then I called back and asked them to put the battery on phone and switch on and they they told me that blue led blinks.
Now I don't know what to do. are they telling the truth that mainboard is damaged. did they accidentally damaged the mainboard.
Is it damaged by me when scrren broke. They are asking me for additional 8300/- total 14800/- now what should I do.
I don't think that phone can switch on after mainboard is damaged (Just Guessed not a technician)
Sorry for my bad English.

Dropped Note 2. Display blank

Hi,
I dropped my note 2 and the display is blank after that. The motherboard is fine. The phone is booting up and the phone rings when someone calls.
However, even the touch functionality is not working on the blank screen.
So, what do you guys think, just a digitizer replacement will work? or do you think it might need a full LCD assembly replacement. If latter is the case, I might as well dump this phone as its almost End of life.
thanks,
Hi Guys, i am also facing the same problem. The phone was dropped and after an hour the screen started turning blue and within few hours the whole screen went dark blue ( or nearly black). The phone is still switching on and the bottom and side buttons are working but screen is black.
Do i need to replace the screen only or the whole display kit as asked in the first post?
Also i want to take backup of all my contacts, sms, whatsapp messages and other stuff. Is there any way i can do this when there is no display on the screen? Need a solution on urgent basis.
Thanks in advance

[Q] My tablet boots up , works fine , but LCD is off :(

Hello guys ,
I had a terrible situation today I wish anyone can help me wake up from this nightmare as soon as possible
My tablet is working fine for about 15 months and today I accidentally applied a pressure on the center of the tablet screen
then I found it off - I mean the screen - despite the tablet is up , tried to restart it , the LCD stays off although I can hear the sound of messages , the sound of touching the keypad of the password panel , so I am sure the touch is working and everything is well functioning , but the LCD is dead .
By the way there's no cosmetic damage on my tablet at all and the screen has 0 damage
Can anyone suggest me a solution or a diagnosis ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my terrible English .

First, you could test it on a tv with an HDMI adapter. If the screen shows up, it means the circuitry is good. Then, take the tab to a dark room, shine a flashlight on the screen to see if the images are there with unlit background. If they are, the backlight has gone bad.
If nothing is seen, you'd want to pop off the back cover, and inspect the amber ribbon running the length of the battery at both ends.
The end connecting to the motherboard snaps on and off, which is more likely to come off, seeing as the silver EMI strip is not designed to hold the connector down.
The other end requires that you remove the board at the bottom for inspection. It's unlikely that this end should loosen since it's "latched" down. If the connections are good, more likely than not the lcd is out. That being the case, the only thing to do is to replace the touch/lcd combo since there is no way I know of that one can remove an original screen without cracking it. The tape Asus uses binds too strongly and the touchscreen too brittle.

Nexus 5x screen replacement problem

After screen replacement of my nexus 5x it worked the first time. After a couple of minutes suddenly the screen at the bottem became very hot and the screen stopped working when trying to poweroff/on again.
Since then I'm not able to make it work again.
When trying to poweron it is a backlit black screen that becomes hot at the bottom ( where the headphone jack is sitting )
Could this be a connection problem or is the digitizer simply broke ?
Rgrds,
Bump.
After replacing my screen I got a "fizzle" noise and the regular beeping. Then turned backlit black and got very hot. I had no idea WTF was going on with it. So I put my cracked screen back on and everything is back to normal. But I would like to get that new screen on permanently.
Any tips on this would be helpful thanks in advance.
