So, I have updated to the 12.1 ROM for Jem. I think it's great so far. But I would love to see an official support thread out there that describes known issues, what's fixed, etc. I have noticed that I need to run both the CM 12.1 update and the GAPPS zips every time I run a nightly update. I have also noticed that certain GAPPS don't work well, Keep being the worst offender so far.
Anyone else's experiences? The Devs for these ROMS rock, so much thanks to you guys!

Merging with Official CM12 nightlies?
First of all, thanks for taking the effort to build this for people like me, who just can't wait for a CM with lollipop!
I'm a long time CM user myself and have used unofficial CM builds before. None of them merged with the official CM builds when they started rolling out and I honestly have no idea if that's even possible but I figured it can't hurt to ask.
So what I'm wondering is, will you be trying to provide an update that switched to the official nightlies when they start rolling out or will it be up to me to flash the official rom myself?
Thanks for the hard work! Regardless of the outcome, I'm flashing this baby right now!

When the official nightlies start rolling out, I'll stop posting mine. Since I plan on running builds up until then, you should be able to flash an official CM nightly right over one of mine.
That said, since tons of features still need to be added between now and then, full wipes might be needed more than once anyway.
Is anyone else having a problem where all downloads fail in any browser... Every thing else seems stable play store etc... I have tried a few lollipop builds and have the same problem
all,
I wonder what kenrel that support dt2w (double tap 2 wake) would support this rom? I tried so!e of the kernel on this formu and it results in extremely slow speed.
Thanks in advance!
changelog?
Where can i locate the changelog for the latest builds:? I am wondering because i am curious to know if volume wake has been implemented into the rom.
Daily builds
I know you can dirty flash over each daily build but do you have to re-flash gapps
Wooohoooo!
See what i found here :d
Wifi seems to be broken for me on the 20141229 build (flashed after flashing 5.02 bootloader coming from KK). Can't even turn it on....
I didn't run into this. Any confirmation from more people?

I have the same problem. Newest bootloader (4.0.4) and the newest Radio. Nexus 7v2 & cm12 the New build
email app
Hello,
I'm getting a FC with the email app (not gmail) when attempting to view email details from Combined View. Individual account views are fine. Notifications, previews, and headers are all working properly. Orientation doesn't matter.
I've done clean install, root app delete, etc. Still FC. Can anyone confirm?
Also, how are you guys getting GPS to work? I can flip the switch all day long but Maps cannot find "my location" unless I'm on WiFi.
Thanks for the look.
Official cm12 nightly
Since this room was based on 5.02 and the official cm nightlies are based on 5.01, do you have to wipe?
There are some unofficial CM12.1 builds for our lovely ZL, one in the development section in this forum and some unofficial builds by freexp ( http://fxpblog.co/cyanogenmod/cyanogenmod-12.1/).
I'm going to switch to CM cause I don't believe sony will ever release 5.1 or at least a stagefright patch for our phone.
Is anyone using 12.1 as a daily driver? Are the builds running stable? Is there something that holds you back from using CM?
Thanks for your opinions!
Hi. I'm on cm12.1 for a month and its working fine.

Thank you! Any idea where to get a recent build? Fxp is a month old and in the build by qsnc some things are broken (chrome?).
I'd like to build it myself, but since I have a bandwith of exactly 384kb/s it would take years to download cm source....
I'm compiling my own. ☺
You can try the version on the radio active time fix thread.
It´s ok not the best !!!

I installed CM 12.1 from official CM site and run pretty good, sometimes i think that phone its over heating, especially when im playing some memory drain game. I trying now back to Stock 5.1.1 (xperiafirmware) but have problen when try to flash TFT in flashtool.
In my opinion, i prefer stock than CM 12.1, but its only my mind. (excuses for my horrible english)
On my M8, I'm running the ancient CM12.1 snapshot from November 2015. I've made the decision to update to the latest CM13 nightlies but I wanted to ask about their stability and any problems I will face. Thanks for your help!
I am using CM13 now more than half a year. Throughout this period, I encountered lots of great versions and only a few with noticeable bugs. Unfortunately my device sometimes crashes and restarts (on a daily basis) - I had this issue with almost every version of CM13, so maybe it is my fault and I should do a clean flash.
You dirty flashed from 12.1?

I would suggest always doing a clean flash from major version changes (such as CM12 to 13).
A dirty flash may work (don't recall if its a possibility or not going CM12.1>CM13). But if you have any issues, its probably due to migrating the data, and you should clean flash.
Not sure about the CM threads on the M8, but for my other device (Samsung Tab Pro 8.4), the thread says to not even bother posting a bug report if you dirty flashed (which I tend to agree with).
Hey Folks,
First timer here. I'm a refugee from the cyanogenmod boards. I'm a novice at this but did manage to root and install twrp and use the cm nightlies for a couple of years. I own the S3 t999 and have been using d2tmo on Metropcs (NYC) ever since cm10. I know the d2tmo is the tmobile but it has always worked for metro pcs.
Anyway, sometime in mid December, I foolishly updated to cm14.1 from 13.0-20161118-nightly-d2tmo without realizing I was actually upgrading the android version. As you can imagine, without upgrading the gapps, my phone went bonkers. I was barely able to get it back to working order. It has not been the same since and as others have noted, all the cm13 nightlies for d2tmo from cyanogenmod are no longer there and obviously there will be no more further improvements of cm14 . Those last nightlies are too buggy for me, even with the correct gapps.
So my question is, what are my options now ? Are there alternate projects that work like the cm builds ?
So SlimRoms has some builds. Would these work like the CM builds? Would I just install it from twrp , does it matter that I'm going from a CMbuild to a SlimRom ?
I'm looking for something that will continue to improve, easy to update.
Thank you any feedback, sorry I could not post links

Thank you very much anil2653. Very much appreciated.
I'd still like some options moving forward tho, if anyone can speak as to what they would be, that would be great .
Dear All,
I'm looking for stable custom rom (if possible lollipop/marshmallow) for my e988 4g KitKat device, especially that can save battery usage. Do you guys have any refference?
There are so many custom rom but i'm difficult to find the plus and minus side of those rom.
Ive been looking to cm site, but unfortunately they are not available anymore
Thankyou
Look, most AOSP ROMs have same issues: camera crashes, bluetooth connection problems etc. etc. Everything else is pretty much same. People were mostly using SlimLP and Carbon, some used Bliss but I think there is no download link for it. Slim and Carbon use a bit more customizable kernel (dave used my kernel for as long as he built Carbon, and SlimLP has just a bit newer version of it, with GPU issues fixed completely).
My choices were Slim and (later, after Slim stopped updating their Lollipop sources) PAC (built for personal needs, no uploads) so if you want AOSP, go with SlimLP or Carbon. Carbon was working nicely too, and last time I had Bliss installed was somewhere after Lollipop just started, so can't judge how last versions worked.
If any of this is not good enough, try any of these stock roms, if any still available. I can't recommend anything from there simply because I never wanted to use those - if stock was that good, I'd stay on it
P.S. This device never received Marshmallow updates due to insane amount of work someone had to provide. I had few attempts but never moved over some issues with modem. More in the forums...
Thank you for the explanation, i will look more for Carbon in Android Development threads.

Were there any MM kernels ever compiled that you know of? Could someone with enough time and work be able to successfully compile a working rom? A bit of a developing noob, but have two E980s and plenty of time on my hands.

Yes, mine I was probably only one who worked on Marshmallow, but sources are now long gone, drive I've kept my repo is dead and I haven't uploaded that anywhere.
I've been using Carbon KK for several months and it is very stable and smooth. I've never used MM so not sure how it compares, but it has all the features I need to keep using this phone every day.
