Can I install TWRP recovery on my Xperia M with "Bootloader unlock alowed:NO" ?
there is a version of cwm and twrp for locked bootloader but i'm guessing you can only flash certain mods as well as stock based roms

You probably won't, because almost every ROM for Xperia M needs custom kernel.
This means I will stuck on 4.1.2. Too bed.

Hello members of XDA I've been having some trouble with my Xperia Play R800a, Locked bootloader, A few days ago I was trying to install a rom and after it sent me into a bootloop, I was not able to get into CWM from there so I opened up the flashtool and tried getting it back to factory settings, now I can boot it up just fine, but when I try putting CWM through x-parts or cwm installer nonthing is coming up after I try to get into CWM
Was that ROM for unlocked bootloaders or locked? What is the name?

It was the Ice Cream Pureness ROM, I believe it was for both locked and unlocked bootloaders

can you help me??...can i install cm 11 in my xperia M with the bootloader locked???
No requires unlocked bootloader to flash boot image with cwm anything to do with cwm requires unlocked bootloader at this moment in time as stock does not have a recovery system maybe later down the line it might be possible once developers get to know the phone more and develop more

I want detailed steps of installing cwm
Coz i hv googled loads of forum bt i'm very confused aftr seeing dem i want any1 of u to share xct method of installing cwm
Thnks in advnce!!
1) Unlock your bootloader, Google 'Sony unlock bootloader' for this.
2) Install a custom kernel with CWM built in, you will need flashtool for that.
That is the only way you can install CWM, it is not available for locked bootloaders.

Before unlocking bootloader (if it's allowed on your device) backup the ta partition

As the title says, I was wondering if it was possible to have recovery without unlocking the bootloader. I know that sony phones have recovery.img unified with boot.img and that is not possible to flash custom kernels with a LB. But on old xperia U there was a way to have recovery without needing to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks in advance
