New Firmware for EE UK G4 on LG Bridge - H81510K - 30/12/2015 - How can i download?

Only available on LG Bridge
not installed yet, anyone know how i can manually download the file for this OTA? i would like to have a copy of it before letting LG Bridge auto flash my G4

Could you check if this enables EE wifi calling too? I'm tempted to flash my unbranded H815 with this if it does.

I've just found out how to get it.
You need to run Wireshark and record your traffic whilst checking for updates in bridge - you don't need to install the update.
Once the check is done, stop the capture and apply the display filter:
http.request.uri contains "downloader.dev"
You should then have a link to your KDZ.
I've attached some screenshots for you.

Thanks. But too late. I couldn't find any info so let it update via lg bridge.
One thing I found out though. It's the sim it self that makes the wifi calling option appear in the menus.
I unlocked my EE G4. Put a 3 sim in it and the wifi calling option has gone completely.
When I put my EE sim back in the wifi calling option appears again.
I didn't relalise this when I had my sim free G4 from Amazon, I was flashing EE rom from devtester and wasn't seeing the wifi call of option as I was using my three sim. I was thinking the rom may be dodgy but it could of been ok
To late now as I've returned my Amazon G4 and just got my EE G4 which I don't want to mess around with.

Could you still do the check for me? I would hugely appreciate it!
It returned the KDZ in the capture for me when I'm already on that version, so hopefully it might for you. I have my EE sim in the phone but it's an open H815 - I just want to try flashing the EE firmware but there aren't many people on here with the EE one.

Great. Please keep us updated. Shame I just sent my Amazon G4 back otherwise would of tried it myself.

I finished flashing about 5 minutes ago and I now have the menu. Great success!
I've not had the network name change yet but everything I've read online says you need to wait a while. Hopefully it'll work and I'll finally have a phone that I can use at work (the building blocks RF very well).
Could you keep us updated with any other updates that you get notified of? I'm hoping that they'll push out the Marshmallow one next but I'll need the KDZ for that too since the built in updater will go off IMEI.

^ g didn't have gsm only option, K has one. Also there is a grayed out option in developer tools(bottom)

So everything is working exactly how EE branded G4 should be ?
It took mine about 10 mins for the wifi calling to register and appear on screen when I first put my sim in.
Will keep you updated about MM
Also out of ingested what software version does your G4 now say ?
Mine is v10k-234-30

I've got an unbranded G4, tried flashing both with LG Flash Tool 2014 and LGUP but both times resulted in V10k-EUR-XX instead of 234-40 leading to no WiFi calling toggle.

I'm showing as EUR-XX too - looks like we can get it to 234-30 by doing something similar to what was done in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63478278&postcount=14 for Three UK.

[LG-H81220U] I want to downgrade from MM to LP so that I can root my LG G4 (H81220U)

Hello, I want to downgrade my LG G4 (Software Version: H81220U) from Marshmallow to Lollipop so that I can root my phone. Could anybody guide me to achieve a downgrade AND a root? My carrier is Telus/Koodo in case it's relevant information.

first you need to nkow if tou can as in some models antirollback changes and makes it imposible to downgrade. so first make sure that antirollback versions they are if the same then you may if different then youll hard brick phone.

Use ... LGUP - NEW ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803 ) to downgrade from MM to LP. You want H81210 for your Lollipop KDZ. Once you've done that, you can install a pre-rooted image (easier) or root your own extracted KDZ. Note: You will not be able to obtain root through any of the Root-Apps - check out the link in the next paragraph for the general how-to for the H812, if you have not already done so.

Once done, because you still will have a locked bootloader, you will not be able to install a regular version of a custom recovery or flash a custom rom (that may come eventually when efidroid is managed to be ported to the locked LG4's). See if you can ... find KDZ's that that are particular to your region in the event there may be differences in bandwidths that are operational, etc.

Yeah could not find specific to koodo Canada. Need to see if its safe to go with something similar to it.
Also I see my current software version is H81220Z. It got updated overnight even though I un-checked to install updates automatically.
Will the LGUP process still work to downgrade?

Koodo is on the ... Telus network. You can use Telus KDZ's (doesn't specifically have to be H81210Z and they seem to be available (check the Canadian Guide) - others have indicated you can use other Canadian providers (read the Canadian guide). I can't confirm this personally.
Use LGUP-NEW for sure as you are less likely to brick from what I understand if an anti-rollback provision has been put in on the latest firmware upgrade.

H815 USA Supported kdz Versions

Hi all,
I have an H815 USA version, which I got off eBay but expect to be from the USA G4 trial program, and I have a few related questions:
What is the most recent .kdz file that anyone has tested with this phone?
Is the most recent (6.0 if applicable) supported stock ROM the best, or does it have any significant known bugs, for example failing to send/receive SMS messages?
Does putting on another stock ROM permit any sort of unlocks that were not previously possible with the USA version firmware?
The phone came with v10b-EUR firmware, and would not update itself to anything more recent. However, I downloaded a Polish .kdz from here (H81510E_00.kdz): http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/H815/ and successfully installed it using the LG Uploader (2014 version) tool today.
This appears to have fixed all but one stagefright vulnerability. I am interesting in upgrading to one of the Marshmallow versions there, if it is advisable by the crowd here.
Based on a screenshot from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/diy-h815-usa-variant-hardware-boot-loop-t3311623), it looks like user rogconnect may have a 6.0 ROM installed on this version of the phone, but I am worried about bricking my device or upgrading to a firmware that is buggy and not being able to revert.

HELP w/ ZE551ML - Z00ADB China Variant Root+Change to WW FW with all 4G frequencies?

- (4GB RAM + 16 GB Internal + 1.8Ghz CPU).
Because it's a "grey import" there's no manufacturor's warranty with it (unless I fly to China) - so I'm gonna get to modding this. Now I've been doing it for years with my previous HTC One and Galaxy S3..
However, this Asus Zen seems to be "too commonly named"... the variants, the different versions.. many of them ZE551ML - yet specs different. In fact it took me 5 minutes just to find this one I bought on any website at all (cuz usually the 1.8Ghz version is supposed to carry 2GB RAM)..
Anyway- sorry to drift off topic - I need a quick/easy link to the right files to turn this into a WW version with all 4G channels open hopefully.
It's currently on Android 5.0 and baseband 2.something...
I don't really want to experiment too much because it's my first upgrade in 4 yrs...
So ideally - I'd be asking anyone familiar with this specific variant to point me in the right direction..

Okay - But this variant has only one Chinese band. I travel a lot (and live in UK) so I'd need EU + North America + India/Bangladesh -
-- Would be able to answer the rest of my question please? -- (the official asus site has only Lollipop in CN variant SKU, WW has Android M but Japan variant is even newer (Dec 2016) - Shall I grab those or....? I need to fully unlock/crack this open as I will be modding into Nougat soon from Cyano/AiCP

as i mentioned earlier none of the firmware will open all the frequencies.
TW version will open band 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,18,19,28
WW version will use 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20
US version 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,17,20
CN version 1,20 on FDD and 38,39,40,41 on TDD
and you can choose any of above version of firmware. to change the firmware you must get RAW firmware of your desired version and flash it via Fastboot commands. there are other ways to do so like flashing ifwi and boot files then updating via zip.. but raw is the most safe method. as there are lot of chances you may brick your device..

buddy either you are unable to understand or i am not getting it.... being on latest firmware will not change anything in Band configuration. whatever firmware you are on. either it is very first release or the latest one band configuration will be the same. you have choose firmware according to your required Band Config. don't look at latest release. look at your requirement..

unfortunately i tried to activate different bands but no success till now.. as per concern with JP firmware.. download it and look for active 4G bands in tlv file..... i don't have JP firmware on my PC. and not willing to download too. data is too costly Buddy. so check it yourself

Solved it, it was easier than other phones actually sys/intel has the right files that need merging from different variants.

Do not try to crossflash! It will brick! First we must have working crossflashing between carriers, then crossflash to U carrier firmware , then flash this OTA.

I did the downgrade to august patch and flashed ota .
Its too laggy very slow witg many bugs

It seems that LG is pushing the 10 beta to all koreans vi aota update.
To be able to receive it you must sign in in Quick Help app.
Unfortunately we have 2 problems:
1. Korean menu
2. We need a Korean lg account. I've tried creating one, also Facebook login, but it signs out me. Unfortunately I don't have the time to test with VPN. Also after successfully login we still need to go through the menu in korean language and sign in for the beta.
Maybe someone from Korea would help us. Maybe he can directly saveand give us the OTA. It will be downloaded on the main storage in a hidden folder.
Please help us if you live in Korea either with an account and menu step by step to subscribe to beta, or with the OTA saved as zip. Thx.

I was able to sign up for an LG account using a Google account so I am able to navigate the Quick Help app. But since I don't know Korean, I have been taking screenshots and using Google Translate to try to navigate. It's painful and slow and I have yet to find anything. I wonder if the OTA simply gets pushed over time after you sign up in the Quick Help app. I've tried using a VPN to South Korea and checking for an update manually in the system settings but nothing has popped up. I may try to find some one locally that speaks Korean to help me out, unless some one already knows what to do in the Quick Help app?

If we are spekaing about what was sharef previously on the net the v18a beta is so slow buggy very laggy i tried it with fota from the august security patch and it was a painful expérience

It seems that there is a v19a android 10 beta for skt and kt carriers. Hope someone leaks it to give it a shot.

Good news is that I've managed to register on Quick Help app with an account from Korea.
Bad news is that I didn't find the beta enrollment join program. It's not available yet. Daaaamn.

Thx. I also have it. Does call recording work for you? For me it worked, but I somehow messed up debloating and it doesn't work now. Can you confirm is working for you?

Hello. It depends on what carrier your V50 will be. You should flash the carrier's one. For KT and U carriers you must be on v11o - September patch
For SKT carrier it will be v11q. But Kan, who has SKT, is having problems in installing it. Just be sure you don't upgrade to October patch by mistake.
LG-UP 1.16 does not support crossflashing, even korean carrier.

I meant the firmware of the V50, from what korean carrier it is.
