[Q] Pay for phone root in Dallas/Ft. Worth area - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased an LG G3 and don't like the UI and would like to make some changes as I like having a dark theme on my phone as opposed to the white theme . I have been interesting in rooting previous cell phones, but I just can't get the hang of it. I have read and seen many videos, but can't seem to get it. If there is anyone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area who would be willing to root my phone for a fee I would greatly appreciate, my email address is [email protected].
Thanks!

I really want to root my phone is anyone in Dallas area who can help?

There is an App called KingRoot.
I've used that today to get root on Lolipop without any issues. It is as easy as to install apk, and run it.

For KitKat one click root worked like a charm
Installing custom like Lineage, however, was more complicated on Lolipop - ended up bricking the phone, and then recoving it to 4.2 (there Lineage/TWRP installation worked perfectly).

Trick Sidesync Into Phone Mode

Hey All:
I'm on the T800, unrooted stock (I had promised my work sysadmin that I wouldn't root). I'm also using ShareKM through USB on my work PC to use my mouse and keyboard on the tablet (makes a great timeclock). Of course, this means living with the limitations of ShareKM and I expect its impending death.
I'd love to use SideSync for this feature, but Sidesync doesn't share mouse or keyboard to tablets (just to phones). Has anyone had luck persuading SideSync on the GTS to act as a phone rather than a tablet? I was thinking either through modifying build.prop to look like a GS5, using SecureSettings and Tasker, or even the Per App Settings through Xposed. All of these would require me to root, so I'd rather know that a solution works before actually rooting. Then... well I'll just not show the local tech the bootscreen and we'll be all good .
Any ideas? Has anyone tested any of these ways?

Really just bumping this up. Is anyone with a rooted Tab S willing to try any of these ideas if we don't have someone who already knows?

It doesn't look like Per App settings can do this. I'm still hesitant to root my tablet, but with the new Lollipop update ShareKM has officially died. I'd really appreciate if anyone else has any experience or would be willing to guinea pig on this.

No, nobody did. But I do now have a rooted tablet using the Knox 0x0 root (...sshhhhh) so I might try a couple of the ideas that came up. If you're interested, I can post the results here.
So after some headache, I can confirm that I have a working App Settings Xposed Module on my Tab S... but changing the Screen (dp) setting as sometimes work doesn't actually convince SideSync that it's on a phone rather than a tablet. I'm even running an apk that I TiBu'ed over from my Galaxy S5, so I can confirm that the sidesync apk isn't what decides the platform either.
I still haven't touched my build.prop; that might be part of the equation. It'd be nice to have an xposed module that corrects this on a per-app basis, but it doesn't seem to exist.
So I reach out again to the experts - any other ideas?

Motorola XT907 (Droid RAZR M) 183.46.15 - Rooted; Now what?

So I figured I'd pick up Cyanogenmod for my RAZR M.
Spent all weekend at the Cyanogenmod website. None of the tutorials or instructions state that if you have 182/183.46.15, you're totally boned.
Anyhow, after beating on the on this dead horse for the entire weekend, I at least have root. My question is, Now what can I do?
I tried to remove bloatware, NFL mobile, VZ Navigator, etc. in an effort to free up storage/RAM/processor use. I can only disable those, not delete them. I'll try another file manager like Astro and see if that'll get me where I need to be.
What about mobile hotspot? I'll look around a bit for more on that.
What else can I do with the phone? I hate to scrap a perfectly working phone for a software problem.

Disregard. Got it working.
Close/Delete thread.
I honestly don't think I'll ever need top upgrayedd this phone. It makes calls and has a browser. Everything else can live on my Asus Nexus 7 tablet and I've got mobile hotspot.

I think you would get a more valuable response if you stated why you want root. I've just upgraded to a Tab S from a rooted Nexus 10 and so far have not found a "must have" reason to root and loose my warranty. That does not mean I'll never root though. I've already replaced the launcher with Nova launcher and changed the icons with an icon pack but neither required root. The one root apps I miss are Viper4Android and GMD Gestures but Nova Launcher provides an acceptable alternative to GMD for now.
So what do you require root for?
Sent from my SM-T800 using XDA Premium HD app
Im mainly wanting it for a couple of apps that use it, one for modding a game, another for moving apps to sd, full files and all not just a 16th of the app. Just tried an app called kingroot but unfortunately it didnt work.

Sometimes it takes more than once. Did you let it reboot and then continue?
Yes and unfortunately it didn't want to work.

How to speed up i747

Ill start with saying this is my first post here although I've used this page several times in the past with for my device issues and you guys have always pulled through thank you!. I'll start by laying out the details of what I'm working with and what ide like and anyone that may have a guiding hand would be beyond appreciated.
Rooted with kingroot, stock rom, still carrier locked but not in active service(att). Charging port is bad and non repairable to my knowledge. The phone is incredibly slow and laggy. My perferred mobile game I can't even play due to immediate crashing when I try to start events.
What I would like to know is if there a way to install a custom rom or something that would debloat the phone to bare minimum requirements to play goggle play store games and access the internet. Also a way to speed up the phone, I've heard of kernel and cpu tweets but idk how or where to change it. Anyone that can help me I would be so thankful.

Looking for information about rooting Pixel 3xl for the purposes of call recording

I'm fairly computer literate but I have zero experience with rooting phones. I have no idea about modules, or even what they mean. To be honest, I don't even really want to root my device, but Google has forced my hand. Call recording (totally legal where I live) is an essential part of my job, and as you all know by now Google has restricted this feature with Andriod Pie. It was preventing me from getting a new device, but now I simply have to upgrade. Now, I can look all this up given some instruction on how to root, but I can't find anything comprehensive in regards to my specific application.
What I'm looking for is someone to explain to me how to root the Pixel 3xl for the purposes of recording phone calls. Here are my questions:
1. Is there a certain program to use when rooting for this purpose or can I root in any fashion?
2. I don't need instructions on how to root the phone (I know this information exists and I can find it) but what do I do after I root my device in order to get Call Recording to work? Is it as simple as just rooting the phone then downloading a call recorder app?
3. Is one app better than another when downloading to a rooted phone?
4. Can someone explain, step by step what I need to do in order for this to go smoothly? I'd really hate to buy a brand new Pixel, then immediately brick the thing. (eg. Step 1. Root phone. Step 2. download this module Step 3.......etc)
If this information already exists, then please point me in the right direction. I really have searched for a step by step guide, and just cannot find one.
Thanks all for your help.
Before rooting your phone, try call recorder cube acr by Catalina group in the play store.
There is nothing that works as good as rooted call recording, and I've tried a bunch.
Here is the guide you need to root. You will need to unlock bootloaders and then root in that order (note: rooting will delete the data on your phone like a factory reset would so make sure to back everything up first).
Next, what I use is Call Recorder by @skvalex and it's amazing, the best I have found and it syncs to google drive automatically. So I can go back for years and find conversations if I would like to... There used to be two versions, a regular non-root version and a ROOT version, the latter is what you want (he may have combined them both into one now though). I'm not sure if that is what is on his site or not, you will probably need to reach out to him. You will also have to purchase ( a one time fee of $10 in the play store but for me totally worth it and MUCH better than a monthly plan). Then in the settings just make sure you select the ROOT method of recording. (settings>recording method>ROOT). He used to point people here for the root app but looks like he just updated it recently. The version I'm on is 3.2.0

That's actually what I use currently on my LG G6. I've heard of some users having absolutely no issue with ACR on the Google Pixel 3xl with Andriod Pie but it seems these cases are rare(ish) and most likely have to do with either the country the user is in or where the phone is from, but I haven't figured that part out yet. I will certainly try it when I buy my Pixel xl3 and report back, but my hopes are low on this.

That's awesome info thanks. I've heard people saying a few different apps work but it seems they all have to further modify their system in order to use them. Other than switching the app to "Root Mode" it sounds like this is just as easy as rooting the phone, then installing the app right?
