Note II Network Issue - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all, I've had my Note II (4.4.2 Stock) for 2 years without much bother, but today it has started acting up. Being low on data and wanting to conserve battery I kept it on flight mode and then turned it back to normal every hour or so. So today when I got home it happened to drop but onto a soft carpet, not a big issue. The phone rebooted itself after this as it does when it's dropped and the battery doesn't fall out. So I waited for it to turn on and I almost immediately turned it back off for it to charge before I went off to gym. About 20 minutes later I came back and checked the battery to see that it was well above halfway already. I suspiciously turned it on and unplugged it and watched 65% battery go all the way down to 14% which doesn't bother me much as that was probably its actual charge level. I turned off flight mode and waited for the mobile data icon to appear so I could reply some messages. It didn't. I waited a few more minutes before the H+ icon appeared, the up arrow flashed and then it switched to 3G and went off again. It's done this every few minutes since then. I've tried everything except factory reset. Any suggestions?

Unrooted and reset to stock, now always using data/syncing

So, I decided to do S-Off and get the official OTA. I used the guide in the Developers/General forum (I forget which one), and everything was fine for the last couple days. Today, I noticed my pocket with my phone was getting warm, so I pulled it out and noted that the sync icon was going and data was going up and down. I figured it was normal, so I put it back into my pocket. I got back home and started perusing XDA to see if anyone else was having this problem, battery at 36% (about 6hrs since I took it off the charger from last night). 15-20 minutes later and I got my 9% battery warning. I did nothing but cruise straight to XDA with it. I hooked my phone up to my USB cord that I always have on my PC, set it to charge only, and went back downstairs to do some things.
15 minutes later I came up to check on it, and it still was at 9% battery! I turned it off and left it off for about 15 minutes before rebooting. It had gone up to 26% battery, I figured that was just fine since at least it was still taking a charge and I left it on. I went outside and washed the car, which took about an hour and 15 minutes (had a massive amount of sap on it and I needed a few smoke breaks). Battery is still at 26%.
Could this be the stock ROM I installed (properly, and exactly as the instructions said to) messing up, or am I getting the OTA?

hello! yesterday i went to the beach. i know it was really hot [but not above 60 C] but i kept my phone in the bag and shut down because it didn't have any energy left.when i got home something appeared on the screen and it said something like this: reboot, shut down and something else i can't remember. i think i pressed reboot first time and then shut down. i tried to turn it on but it didn't work. when i recharged it the phone turned on. i wrote some msgs, i talked on the phone, it was alright. this morning i took the phone with me in my bed, at around 9 o'clock and it didn't have anything. i slept till 10 o'clock when i woke up the phone was again turned off.after many tries, it turned on but the touch screen wouldn't work and the battery couldn't charge. now its turned off and i don't know what else tot do. is it the battery? do i have to buy a new one?
sorry for any language mistakes but my native language its another.
thank you so much for any upcoming answers.
There is orange led when the phone is charging ?
When its charging, yes. So.. sometimes. I tried a factory reset just now:it turned on but then.. nothing. Its turned off again. Do I have to make a soft reset? I don t have warranty.
Take out the battery and leave it to cool for a couple of hours. Then charge it (while powered off), leave it again to cool and then use it

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Will not boot up (NOT ROOTED)

Hello Everyone,
Before I start explaining why I made this thread. I did search on google, xda, and rootzwiki lol.
About a month ago, I sold my Gnex to a friend from Facebook. It was rooted and it is Verizon. Before going back to stock, I was on Ak kernal with paranoid android rom; in case it mattered. She had the phone for 2 weeks without any problems. This happened today.
I've tried a lot of suggestions from the interwebs
Hold the power button for 30 seconds, plug in the charger without the battery, insert the battery back in. That is suppose to clear the ram and battery issues. No luck. All i get is a battery icon with a charging bolt. Then it disappears later on to appear another battery icon but indicating full without the lighting bolt this time. I've tried connecting the phone without any battery on it to the computer. It connects fine because the beeping sound comes out from the speakers. When i put the battery in. The same battery logo shows up. Again, this phone was no longer rooted or bootloader at all. Everything was returned back to stock
This phone will completely not turn back on.
According to my friend, she went to take a shower. The phone was charged at 60 percent, so she decided to plug that sucker in to charge it. She came out, the phone was around 90 and called her mom. When she dialed the phone died and could not turn it back on.
Can anyone help?

HTC One X Screen turns on and off randomly. Reboot after a few mins

Firstly I have to mention, that I don't regularly use my One X anymore, but I took it to Italy when I went there for holidays two weeks ago to use it as a hotspot for my HTC One and Macbook.
It was working just fine until 3 days ago, the day I flew home. During my last night the phone started rebooting every 10-20 minutes, until the battery was dead. Now that I'm back home I charged the phone and turned it back on, but it is still acting strange. I just put it on my table and realized the screen was turning on randomly and turning off again after the normal timeout. This happened again and again and after a few times the phone turned itself off and back on. This whole procedure happens over and over again in a loop.
Therefore I performed a hard reset, but the problem is still the same. Even if I turn the device off completely, it comes back to life automatically after just a few minutes. I have no idea what I should do with it, except waiting for the battery to die.
Has anyone had this problem before and knows how to fix it? I hope it's not a hardware defect, as I really like the One X as a backup phone.
Cheers,
Jake
Sounds like you need to change the power key + flex.

Low quality device?

I'm used to Samsung flagships.. Never had an issue, all the way back to the Original Note, S2, Note3 etc all the way up to an S8.... I got an A50 because I wanted something inexpensive and don't really need a flagship device.. and the S7 I've been using as a spare was going on its second battery, and for $80 I figured I'd just get a basic phone, but now I'm having LOTS of regrets.
I've noticed wifi is flaky, at best. Data says it's connected, but will show NO internet, regardless of wifi or LTE connection, and will NOT return without a reboot, even after entering airplane mode, manually connecting/disconnecting from networks/wifi, does nothing,, only a reboot will restore services.
and, just now, I noticed my phone turned off.... wouldn't turn back on until I plugged it back in, then it showed 80% battery.. So I unplugged it, and it died 30 seconds later.. wouldn't power back on.... plugged it in, showed 79% battery... kept it plugged in.. restarted it.. and it again, randomly, just shut off.. No rhyme or reason.
I bought the phone brand new, and have had it less than a month..... It's been in a case since day 1 and not abused....
Did I just get a dud?
