Hi guys i've a crappy cheap class 6 team group sd card that started failing on me. I've near me on the stores the new sdcards by samsung. Is samsung sd's a good choice ? What do you guys recommend.
Price: 8gb Class6 ( 11€, i find cheap )
( I need a good sdcard class 6! For d2sd and a2sd )
For a phone? As cheap as you can get it, Aslong as it works who cares

Actually thats not really correct. A few of the cheap ones on the market are not the capacity/class they claim to be. Some are corrupted and don't even work. Samsung make good cards, or just stick with a quality brand name, like sandisk, kingston etc and you should be ok.

I got this one about a month ago. No problems and works brilliantly.
I am pretty sure with known brands like A-DATA, Kingston, Samsung or SanDisk you cannot do anything wrong.
yeah Sandisk is pretty decent. I'd recommend it. Specifically Sandisk Mobile Ultra 8gb Class 6

Team had a nice Micron D9 modules back in the day, so I'd hardly doubt they are crappy brand. Hardware fails from time to time no matter who makes it.
I've got a Lexar and it works pretty good. There is a thread in the general section about sd card speeds and it seems to me Sandisks seem to run a fair bit quicker than what they are actually rated.
Sandisk is pretty good.
However, I just got myself an A-Data 16GB class 10 card- pretty satisfied with it.
what do you guys think of this brand? decent? new time sd card purchaser...

Looks like garbage. Stick with trusted brands like SanDisk, Transcend, Kingston, PNY, etc..

I agree with Pheno.menon but the price might be worth the shot. Just make sure you use Paypal. I have tried a few of these even named brand and had the file with Paypal to get my $ back. You also want to test the speed if you get get one. I had one marked as a class 6 but wasn't even a class 2. Made the phone freeze up.
I remember reading about a delay when unlocking the screen whenever an SD card was installed. Can't seem to find anything about it now though. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
I get the slight delay but the thing with mine is i get the delay whether my sd card is in or not.

as stated in the op, im a new sd card buyer, so dont bash me lol.... what programs are used to check the speed? ive read on how to see if its legit but not the programs that check them
I remember back in the day on the G1 when you had to run apps to sd and partition your card. I bought a supposed class 6 8gb card on eBay for cheap. It was definitely slower than my Sandisk class 2. I'm using a 32gb class 4 SanDisk I conned my buddy out of his Thunderbolt. Must say so far I like it. Try craigslist. I know I picked up a 16gb for cheap a while ago...
I bought this one from ebay.

I like it so far, when phone boots up it takes about 4-5 seconds to finish scanning the internal and external storage.
I'm rocking a Lexar 32gb class 10 card. No problems so far and I've been using it for close to a year now.

I recently purchased a PNY 32GB Class Ten MicroSD card with SD adapter for about $65. Pretty damn good deal considering the class speed of the card and the SD adapter being thrown in. Been rockin' it for about two weeks and haven't had any problems whatsoever

higher class number means higher write speeds, but that doesn't always mean better read speeds.
IMO higher class cards are better when your doing photography and video stuff
I read my card more often than write to it so a lower class card with better read speeds is better for me.

I got a sandisk 32GB class 4. It is plenty fast enough. I record pics/video to onboard phone storage anyways. I store vids, music, etc on the sd card and it reads very fast. I haven't move any apps to sd card because we have plenty onboard memory.
what's a good price for a 32GB class 4 microSDHC? i've been waiting for about 2 weeks for a deal to be posted on SD, but haven't seen one yet.
amazon is selling a sandisk for $37. i'm wondering is i should just buy this?
Bestbuy has the Kingston class 4 32gb for 42.99? Do you all think that's a good deal? I know amazon has the Sandisk 32gb class 4 for 37, but i has mixed reviews.

Yeah just came across that on slickdeals.
Is the 1saleaday site legit? As far as this being a actual SanDisk card?
As the title says, I would like your opinion on my next purchase of expandable memory (micro sd).
I would like to know which one would be better for my Galaxy Note international version.
1) Samsung Essential Class 10 microSDHC 32GB
or
2) SanDisk Ultra Class 10 microSDHC Ultra 32GB
The price difference is negligible, so I would like to know which one would be the best buy for my G.Note.
If you think that there is a better option, which I have not mentioned, please let me know and preferably with a link to where I can buy it from .
Thank you all in advance for all your input.
I have the SanDisk Extreme SDHC UHS-I Card 32GB class 10

I have the samsung, but never tested the speed lol
I will do so and report back
Result with antutu benchmark 2.9.2
SD read = 13Mb/s SD write = 8.6Mb/s
Thank you both for your replies. Looking at your results I will probably go for the sandisk.
This has been very useful and thanks once again for all your help (+1 for each )

I have both companies' microsd cards in 32gbs and I have a 64gb sandisk card. All three work fantastic in my Nikon DSLR and in my phone. I also use them with Nexus 10 tablet via a MHL USB cable and an app called "Rawdroid" to view the RAW images from the DSLR, the speed is incredible at 24megapixel sized photos.
i am using 32gb san disk ultra. and my experience is incredible. no issues till now with 1 year + of usage
Guys check this strontium 32gb UHS-1 card http://youtu.be/PuHfmuJ8pf0... should I go for it.
says to be faster than sandisk ultra and samsung pro series microsd cards, with life time warranty....
please suggest....
So has anyone bought an SD card for their oppo yet?
I'm tempted to get a "Transcend 64GB Premium Micro SDXC with Adapter Class 10 UHS-1" but not clear if it will work

Find 7 supports SDXC card upto 128GB, so yours should be fine. I recommend the U3 class card though.
Just got a 128Gb Kingston for mine. Will copy my data over tonight.
Just bought a new Samsung Pro SDXC UHS-1 microSD card.
512 GB
I formatted it to NTFS. Works great in the oppo find 7.
At least it does using ColorOS 4.4.2
TWRP does not recognize this NTFS format but the OS does. I find it totally amazing to have 512 GB of storage on this phone. Really nice.
Netpac 128G Class 10 - FAT32.....works flawless
Hello!
I want to buy a memory card for the G4 and it needs to handle 4K videos without any issues. Do I need a class 3 USH-I card or is class 1 enough? Just can't find any answer to this.
Thanks.
I am using a Class 10 Sandisk Ultra 16Gb card with the 60Mbps camera mod for 4k with no issues thus far with recording.

Alright, just a regular non UHS card? Sounds like a quite basic one should be enough.
Btw, do you know a good app that converts 4K video to 1080p video?
No matter what you buy, but make sure to buy an original SD card. These days, eBay and Amazon is flooded with fake chinese cards. I've been cheated by eBay and its seller when i purchased Samsung UVO UHS-1 Class 10 card. The eBay sided with seller.
