Mind did, but I think it depends on the region you get it from.
My H815 from south east Asia came with those black and red quadbeats or whatever. They're actually not half bad.

but how do you guys know where it came from? mine says europe when I check under settings-about-software

O2 UK - came with LG Quadbeat 3 I believe - actually they're probably the best headphones I've ever had supplied with a phone.

You mind telling me what does your g4 say when you go to settings, about, software. What software version you got installed? Vx10b-eur?

Hey Angie,
Have had my F240S for about a month. I am in Ireland. Wonderful phone. You will probably have the dual clock on the lock screen but there is a fix on that on here and I would recommend rooting the phone.
Enjoy it!
Patrick
Thanks Patrick, nice to know there's someone else out there. I've looked at the rooting method, I'll enjoy it for a couple of days and then have a go. I've been told there are a few Korean apps that will be useless to me so it would seem an inevitable thing to do. So used to using odin and Sammobile to do updates for my current phone that I think it's going to be a bit of a learning curve.

Yeah i use a korean version
Simply root it using the simple method listed at Optimus forums then use titanium backup to remove the korean apps you don't want

Are you certain that it will be carrier locked in the first place? I've used cellunlocker before with no issues.

I meant as unlocking the phone mate so I can use any sim, normally cost around £10-£20. I didn't actually mean buying the phone sim free

Hi, I have the international version H815 and I want to unlock the bootloader.
Ok so my question is if you had or you have a h815 would you unlock it even if you will loose your warrenty?
I'm asking because I really want root but no sure if I'm ok with warrenty void so I wanted your opinion
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Free mobile app
First off almost everyone wants to unlock the bootloader on these forums. Now, you can only unlock you bootloader if you have a Eastern Europian phone.
Rooting versus warranty depends on you, no-one can make that desion for you. It all depends on what you want to do with the phone.
Ive always rooted my phones and never had to send any back for warranty.. Ussually change to the next new phone that comes out before the warranty even expires... But, I guess that's just me..

Thnkx for your answer and I know it my desion, I just wanted some other thoughts about it.
In the end I'm just like you, buying the next phone before warranty even expires.

Yes, it's expensive to keep up with new technology. Hopefully the bootloader will be allowed to be unlocked by LG. Or, one of the many talented devs get it first.

I have the unlock-able version and have not rooted or unlocked the bootloader. For me I like custom ROM and Kernels to go along with rooting otherwise stock is fine for me. I'm a very patient person so I'm happy with the phone as is.

Man, You don't know how many people wish to be in your position just to unlock it in front of the UPS guy. However, as you say, you're doing fine with it locked. Considering that, I would wait a few weeks or a moth or even 2 just to make sure that no hardware fault or unfixable issues are present or about to happen. Again, I would unlock it and root it right away.
I'm in the same situation as you, but I live in the United States. I bought the H815 of eBay so does the warranty even apply to me?

LG in the states will not service a international phone purcased thru 3rd party resellers, unless its a carrier branded phone from T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon etc.

then yes only phones above 507 are more likely not to happen but it still does.. you have to send it for repair check with the place you got it from to see if it has warranty, if not then contact LG for repair it should be free.

Just bought an Unlocked LG G7 Thinq and was wondering if developers will be working on this one soon? I only see ROMs and root for the European version.
LMG710ULM isn't on supported device list by LG yet.
No unlocked bootloader = no TWRP = no custom ROMs.

Thank you for that! So I guess it looks like there is no plans for LG to support the US variant then.
Not necessarily. In the past, LG has added US unlocked models to the list a few weeks later after EU version.
I hope the same thing happens this time too.

The EU version was physically in the wild for almost a month before they added it to the bootloader unlock list.
Give it time. With the V40 launch coming they might be a little slow.
