At some point between flashing roms I have lost IMEI number, when I have realized what happend I have restored it and my phone wont register on network. Serial number is correct, any ideas? I know I can use ariza patch but I'm wondering why my phone wont register on network with correct s/n and Imei number

If you have restored the backup properly, just try to factory reset the firmware...
Which method you had used to backup and restore EFS?

I did not have EFS backup so I used SRS unlock client with UART cable to bring back the original IMEI, now my IMEI and S/N is correct but phone still wont register on network. Any ideas?

It's happened to me. My phone in stock rom but after updated to XXDMF2 and modem also DMF2 it can't make call, sms and connect to internet, imei no changed. After 3 hours search for the solution from this forum finally my phone worked fine.
Just flashed this modem DMF1_MODEM.zip via odin and now everythings working.

I am having the same issue after having flashed the 4.3 version found on Sammobile. SN and IMEI are correct. Have you found a solution?

previously worked with dlk6 or dll6 firmware/modem on 4.1.2
When I flashed 4.3 Xperia-z1-ized ROM . Device showed correct imei and MK1 modem from the ROM but says "not registered in network "
Have no Idea what went wrong. I have no backup of any EFS or anything .
I installed emergency firmware upgrade via Kies and now running stock 4.3 Android UBUEMJ4 Modem , build number : MK4 Status : offical.
I don't even know if i can root my device with current stock firmware.

So about what is the tread
There is arround 10 bricked phones in Bulgarian Android Forum.Becouse we cant find where is the problem I decide to ask here.
Problem: After flashing stock test 4.3 and downgrade after back to 4.1.2 the result is --IMEI 0049 and Permanent Test Mode.
what we know until now:
Phones bought from shops for phones reported they downgrade back without issues
Phones bought from mobile operators -bricked IMEI
Flashing again 4.3 after brick do not restore IMEI

Impact on device/How I know I have corrupted EFS
When there is EFS partition is corrupted, device loses IMEI and due to this device can't gets connected to network. Baseband info also sometimes shows unknown.
-Check your IMEI in setting / by dialling *#06# if it is null OR if it starts with 0049** then IMEI is generic and corrupted. In Normal case IMEI which you can see in device setting or dialing *#06# is exactly same you can see on bill/box/sticker under battery compartment
-If you are unable to connect to network in spite of correct IMEI, chance are
A. Your device is Locked to specific Network OR
B. Your device is banned due to tempered IMEI
-If your AP,CP,CSC all are correct and even you are getting error (unknown CSC XXX) on kies update, it may be due to corrupt Product code in EFS. Read This for detail.

If you dont have efs backup then you probably need the z3x box to make repair for your imei and change it to the original one didnt test the ariza patch on this kind of problem but why not give it a shot

I also have this issue in my phones now i have 2 phones with this issue
I make many things with it
First i flash it with cyanogenmod custom rom and in the custom rom the imei was ok and baseband was also ok but on *#*#4636#*#* i see that the radio is turned off when I click on turn on radio option it doesn't turn on
So i think that this is from modemst1 and st2 partition issue
So i wipe those partitions but it doesn't turn on radio
Then i wipe fsg,modemst1 and modemst2 partition by dd commands and after that baseband unknown and imei null
Now i lost the imei completely yeah i do it ??
If anyone help me please I know how to use the dd commands
Please both phones baseband was unknown

I am also having this issue
the same thing happened to me after flashing cm11 . fortunately i backed up the original stock fire os , so i was able to restore it back to stock. I would much rather run CM though. hope there is a fix for this.
OK I don't know if this is the reason or not. But I got mine to work correctly. I just flashed it to the stock partition.

i have a g3 d855tr , last night i have flashed with a kdz using lg flash tool 2014, after that i think efs partition is removed and i cant get any signal, isee all time service is disable / no service on the screen.
software version baseband unknown, imei unknown
how can i resolve this
i have rooted phone and installed xposed to get an imei but still no service i flash several g3 modems on other xda topic still no service
i think i need to find a efs backup or something ?
