[REVIEW} for My Newly Bought Tablet Mount - General Accessories

I love this monitor mount! It was surprisingly easy to assemble and install, I took my time and it probably was up and in use within an hour (that includes the time it took me to clear off my desk too).

The arms are adjustable, and you can tweak the settings to either lock the monitors in place, or balance them so that you can raise/lower them on the fly. The base of the monitor mount has plug ports that you can use, and the arms have built in cord tamers (for the monitors). The whole assembly attaches to your desk by either clamp or bolt, depending on your preference. I opted for the clamp method. And since I have a glass desktop, I scrounged around to find two pieces of wood shelving for the clamp to grab (help disperse the weight and make this a feasible attachment).
The end product is very nice. With my desk setup the way I have now, I can use it as a standing workstation. The only drawback of the monitor arm that I've found? When you have the monitors side by side in landscape position, the arms can't be flush against the wall. If I want monitors flush against the wall, I need to use one of my monitors in landscape, the other in vertical. No big deal.
This will be really nice, because when I am tired of using my workstation as a standing desk, I can just pull the monitors out and down before pulling up a chair. Then I would be able to use the monitors side by side in landscape, since I'd probably want them a bit closer.
And, I just thought of this, but if you have touch screens, this mounting arm would be even more AWESOME!!!!!

Sugru+holster= Car Dock

So I was using the Infuse car dock but wanted to start using a case and it didn't fit anymore. I was going to alter the holder part of that dock to work until I had this idea.
I realized I had the holster part of the holster/shell combo from Verizon that I never use, so i mounted that with ProClip Move plates to my existing ProClip dash mount. We use the ProClip Move plates in our cars so we can move the mounts around for our devices between whatever we're driving.

I missed having the plug part of the dock so that I could just slip my phone in and have it connect to the charger, so i figured out how to attach the microusb to this dock w/ Sugru.
I took the wax backing off of some double stick tape (the leftover part that keeps the sticky tape from sticking to stuff before you mount it) and cut a small slit in it, poked the microusb end through and attached it to my phone and then placed in the holster w/ screen out. This waxy tape backing is what kept the Sugru from bonding to my phone while it cured, but allowed me to mold the Sugru around the form of the bottom of the phone. The front lip is still messy, I plan on adding another layer over this to "clean it up".
The holster had to have those side wings bent out a bit to allow the phone w/ bumper case to slide in and out easier. But now I just slide my phone into this from the top and it clicks right into the micro-usb charger. I have an NFC tag stuck to my sun visor that i use to launch Car Dock v3 from the app market.

Car Dock - Modified iPhone adjustable Brodit to fit GS3 with cases

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum today, and have just reached 10 posts so now hopefully can post images.
I have read a few threads where people were trying to find a decent car dock for the GS3 with cases on, so thought I would write this brief guide on how I overcame the issue using my old iPhone 3GS adjustable Brodit dock, and modified it slightly to fit the GS3 with or without a case.
This case allows you to charge when docked, and adjust to fit with pretty much any case, and also swivel to view in landscape mode for GPS navigation etc.
Heres a link to the one I bought a few years ago for the 3gs so you can see what it was like originally. http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodit/fitting_Instructions/Mounts.asp?Brodit=516042&Make=Apple&Model=iPhone%203GS
Heres some pics of mine now.
I turned the sides around so they were opposite as this meant it supported the phone further up, as the S3 is quite a lot taller than the 3gs. Due to swopping them over I had to file the groove so it went the full length for the phone to slide into.

I used a heat gun to bend the rear support bar back slightly, as on the 3gs it hooked over the top of the phone, whereas the s3 was too big so it just supports the rear now. This pic shows the back support and the adjustable turn screw things on the rear which enable it to fit with a case
I used a piece of rubber/plastic which I cut to size to hold the cable firmly in place.
Here it is with the phone in, it also turns sideways to allow the phone in landscape for satnav etc
Hope its all clear, im not the best at explaining but I try my best lol. If I missed anything just ask.
I hope it helps some people out.
John

My Look at the T95P 2/8gb 905x

Sunvell T95P 2/8GB 2.4ghz wifi 1 x usb port 1 x HDMI port and a TF card Slot all built in to one small package
This will be no Power House, but I feel it will do the job on most thing it is asked.
Temps are a little warm to be expected such a small all in one Package.

Not a lot of room in this little unit
There is a Thermal Pad and it sits a top a piece of Metal above Power Supply Unit so there is some thermal dissipation happening.
Underside Side PCB closest to Power Pack of Plug
Topside PCB, IR pick up no obstruction point to top of box easy.
Its has power Indication Blue On Red Off
WiFi Chip
eMMC
Look at O/S and UI standard Sunvell.
CPU: http://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/1216946
Compute: http://browser.geekbench.com/v4/compute/275628
Performance ok for this type of unit
Found WiFi good at this location, streamed Netflix easy,
Easy Setup up Google Play store and accounts etc, updated apps pretty easy.
Kodi 16.1 with Tv Addons so bloated a little., FTMC will go on soon, Unit running ok for a 2/8
Remote works rather well I was about 3 mrts away pointing in all directions and it seems to the job well.
Small and Simple, going away on holidays, or caravan would have its uses for sure.
You could also remanufacture the complete unit in any form you wish really due to its compact size easily could fit into some really tight places.
Mount in a small TV of Projector LCD Panel feed it with volts, great little project.

Car phone holder for Mi Max 2

Hi there,
Considering the huge size of the phone, not all car phone holder work with it.
I bought this one from AliExpress:

Cobao brand, around $6, no problem at all, it's big enough for the Mi Max 2, even with a case. I'm using a very slim case, but there is plenty of room for a regular case.
I only buy holders that can "grab" the vent with a hook and a spring, those are very stable, so I didn't consider other options.
You can find it here (not sure if AliExpress store links works for long but just in case): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Cob...Iphone-6-Plus-5s-For-Samsung/32714737459.html
Thanks for posting the tip!
I ordered one like that. This brand "Cobao" makes some really funky accessories. Even phone holders to fit into car CD drives.
I never used a mount that grabs the vent. Interesting concept. I'm always concerned the mount slips off.
Already had one mount that slipped off the mount, breaking my phone screen when it dropped on the shift stick

I picked one of these up a while back. It's big enough for the Mi Max 2, but a little too big for smaller phones. Depending on the car and who rides shotgun, it may be a good idea to grab a drill, some bolts, rubber washers, a sharpie, and a screwdriver to mount it properly.
I drive a tiny 97 Corolla, so the back seat was nonexistent to fit this in its intended position. I put it right through an aluminum plate used for supporting an optional "premium" stereo. It was premium for 97, I guess. Now head units are so proprietary that a phone is the best you can do for music in most cases.
Get the Baesues Gravity Lock Holders. They work great even on bumpy terrain unlike magnetic holders but still allow popin/popout usage.

Carlinkit CarPlay Ai Box disassembly?

Anyone ever open one of these up? Non-destructively, of course. With summer coming up I'd like to try to 3d print a new enclosure for it to improve heat dissipation and possibly pop some heatsinks on important bits. I'm assuming there are screws under the rubber pads on the bottom, but I don't have access to it right now and thought I'd see if anyone has opened one up before... Thanks!

As a follow up, small screw under each of the 4 pads on the bottom. Antennas are connected to top part of case via pogo pins.

Did you manage to creat 3d print to improve the cooling system? I have the same model EAU and i have big issue with overheating (91.8 °C was maximum) i have a lot of reboots... As someone answered above, the antennas are connected to the top cover using spring pins, so the back holds the front end in place to connect to the antennas. I was thinking that we could mount a 40mm fan on the back of the equipment, having a 3d printed case
