[Q] Need Help, Want to safely root GTN-7105 without tripping knox

Greetings fellow Android Users! Hope you are doing fine wherever you are. I have been following this forum for quite sometime now and decided to write this new thread because i am in need of help. I am new to android having changed from blackberry a few months back and decided to get the Galaxy Note II GT-N7105. For the past few weeks, i have been thinking whether or not to root my phone to get better customisation of your device but is afraid of tripping the warranty with KNOX. I would not think twice if i surpassed my warranty period but i've only gotten this phone for about 5 months and it really got me thinking. I am residing in HongKong now and purchased my phone from there. Here are the details of my phone:
Model No : GT-N7105
Android Version : 4.3
Baseband version : N7105ZHEML1
Build Number : JSS15J.N7105ZHUENA1
I want to know if any of you GT-N7105 (Hong Kong Phones or any other) users have successfully rooted your device without Tripping KNOX, hence does not void the warranty, using the method on the thread i posted above or any other method? And also, If you have successfully rooted your device, do you recommend installing a custom recovery like Philz Touch in order for you to flash a Rom? Will you be able to also update the latest software from OTA (Samsung official) if they released it? Or you have to manually do that? [Q] New delivery, LG-D855V?

Hi all,
I just receieved my new LG G3 from Vodafone Australia. It's currently charging but upon inspection it has a model number which I hadn't noticed when I was researching the phone (LG-D855V).
I've attached pictures of the box, manual screens from the phone referencing the model number. Does anybody know what the difference is etc?

I'd say the V is just for Vodafone. You should DEFINITELY get to flashing a newer rom or doing an OTA update asap. That's the base rom for the phone, v10a. The latest 4.4.2 version is V10L I think. Alternatively, you can go to Android L. There's a dedicated LG G3 Australian Owners thread in the general section if you need help from any of us

Ah makes sense I guess. I've checked the hardware and it all seems identical to the D855. I came from a Nexus 5 with L and I'm already missing it so I'll definitely be looking to get an L rom on there.
Will take a look at the thread and do some reading. Thanks for your input.

optus is just d855; free wireless charger
telstra is d855k; free g watch
to clear confusion - you can flash d855 roms, the letter v doesnt matter. it confused me when i got mine lol.

Lollipop It has a bug connected with network When I call inside my country (e.g. +9989xxxxx) it saying that number does not exit because after typing + it automatic replaces with kind of region code that you couldn't disable. Incoming calls are ok. I was trying to disable region codes in global roaming but no chance. Flashing my phone back to stock 4.4.2.

How to root F240s running stock Lollipop
Will it be possible or I should go back to 4.4.2 and flash custom rom lollipop

For now, rooting stock lollipop is not available. You need to flash 4.4 and flash custom rom.

I flashed 5.0.1 on my f240l but there is no video icon and no face unlock feature did my flashing went wrong? Help needed thnx

Its root is not available yet. You can root kitkat and install Sphinx V5b which is based on official lollipop of F240L.

LG Optimus g Pro F240K best Rom
Firstly I want to ask how do I know which model of LG optimus G Pro I am using. The Writing inside the fone below the battery area says that It is F240k. and the software information From About phone menu says that It has software version F240L10t
I have just bought the set and at least I know it is Korean but I don't know which variant it actually is?
Please suggest me best Rom that I could install to get rid of these korean apps?

Solution:
Come with me, GoTo --
Settings → Networks → Call → (Outgoing Call) International access number → User.
And setup your country "Prefix Code or Exit Code".
Not country code. Which sits before Country code.
e.g. 00 or 001.
You should find this from the Attached Thumbnails link.
Thats it. I've succeeded with this.

I am using The Lg G pro F240l (Korean version) in Bangladesh. after installing the F240L30c_00.kdz file i tried to root the mobile, but i couldn't enter to the boot loader.(even using the cmd mood). it also creates problem to dial numbers. like when some one calls me the number display's with the region code like +8801xxxxxxx. but when i want to cl back i have to delete the region code(+88 or other ) or else the cl don't made.
does anyone here facing slimier problem???

If ur from india then change international access number to 00.after a lot of attempts i succeeded.give a try

How to Remove the dual Clock in lockscreen

here some more problem i am facing...
after upgrading to lollipop I couldn't find the remove dual clock option in lock screen. Did any one found the way to stop the roaming clock.
and after upgrading to lollipop i found little bit lag on scrolling and opening app. even the battery also getting down quickly is it the general problem or only I am facing it..
And if some one found the solution of this problem please let me know...

I had the stupid idee to go trying this rom on my e986, however i have flashed it and now my screen and led don't do anything. So I can't get in download mode. Any idees to get flash the stock kitkat?

Hello,
Been waiting for update to Android 7.0 since the news been spread on XperiaBlog and XDA, but still no official release for 1299-6237 (HK Version). Hence, a question arise: Are there additional certifications that apply to HK ROM version that it takes so long for an update, or is there is another reason for it? Also, any idea when to expect the update then? Thanks for help in advance!

you can take the Indonesia or India version... since HK , the last update was .305 / oct2016 ... i am not sure why the stopped pushing for HK

Thanks for reply! I know I can manually flash it, but to be honest, with device like this I cannot be bothered (and frankly not many people do, as pretty much no development going on). I am more reliant on OTA or Companion updates as I do not want to lose my data. Hence it owuld be nice to know if someone would have an explanation for such nonsence really.

I was in the same boat as you. I bought my Z5p dual off of Amazon and received an HK version. I've been waiting for a Nougat update and could wait no longer. I updated using the russian update file and can confim that everything works and no bugs to report. Also no data was lost and my phone language remained in English post update. Should you change your mind...
But to contribute to your question, according to the Experia blog there appears to be a relatively big update coming in April to fix a couple of the Nougat issues with sound some users were reporting. That could be why they halted rollouts again.

Not looking for custom Rooted Rom, because he would like to be able to update the phones when a new software update comes out.
I have tried everything with NO Luck, and I'm sure one of your developers know how to do this. What firmware are you on as far as I know tesltra air is just an app to automatically connect to free wi-fi on Telstra networks.
Are the phones network locked ie: can you put in another Sim from a different carrier like Optus or Vodafone.
What have you actually tried to do

what about this ?

(search on google and download it via sammobile , there is no bloatware and you can get the updates without a problem (with that one most of the time y get the security patch faster but you may loose some features)
or that G960FXXS3CSD2 it may take a few days more to get the update (based on my usage)

No the network is open I tried another sim from the USA: Tmobile, ATT, Verizon and Metropcs. Im on G960FXXU2CSC8 firmware version and I just upgrade to G960FOXM3CSD1.

Ok fellas I figured it out I follow the instructions from this thread:

and I was able to change the CSC to OXM then I flash a rom from United Arab Emirates and all carrier info was gone and phone works perfect. Special thanks to those guys from the thread it really works!! Thank you Thank you guys and for all who replied and where willing to help. If anyone need help with this same situation contact me I can help
