changes noted:
- Themes work! (I had to go to Google Play on a computer, sign in then it sends to your smartphone correctly)
- Less lag, definitely faster when opening apps
- Contacts/phonebook opens faster, like a normal system app
Some glitches still present:
- Sometimes installing themes via Google Play or Sony Select fails
- Phone restarts itself again and again after installing the themes, when trying to unlock the screen and sometimes get bootloop..,
- GPS lag is reported to still happen
- Changing keyboard settings can trigger a reboot
- The volume bar becomes a blank black box
Alright thanks bro, really helpful. Im gonna stay on this current firmware and not update. Sony has been messing up their updates big time, what the hell is going on?

really,, aree they making it good or making it more and more worse..
Have root access on 15.4.A.1.9 (C1905 locked bootloader) and everything seems to be working on par or better than 15.4.A.0.23
So unless you know of a specific feature, not functioning in 15.4.A.1.9, then I wouldn't hold back on upgrading.
I note that OpenGL ES 2.0 is still giving benchmark results well below that obtained on 15.1.C.2.8 (Android 4.1)
Guess that's the price we pay for OpenGL ES 3.0
Sony notes the following in the Xperia M software update page:
Android version: Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean)
Latest available software: 15.4.A.1.9
Release started: 2014-06-10
Included in this software
This upgrade for your Xperia™ smartphone includes many improvements, such as:
Enhanced user experience
Improved battery life
Software performance improvements

Not really a change log, more like an update overview.
It can always be placebo effect, but I feel the GUI is more responsive.
Battery life is always subjective depending on usage.
Update
On Android 4.3, I have not had any reboots outside those I have manually initiated.
I have 'gutted' the /system/app folder of over 26 apk.
Did have Spiderman theme loaded for a few minutes, just to see if Xperia themes worked and then deleted it.
I did a manual reboot after loading the theme.
Currently running Malaysian 1274-5466 build.
I built it from SUS download via Flashtool and extracted system.ext4 for root access upgrade.
On 15.4.A.0.23 I was running a Serbian 1274-5505 build.
I did note on the Serbian 15.4.A.0.23 build it had SMS character optimization.
This is something that is missing in the current 15.4.A.1.9 Malaysian build
Just something to consider for those using extended character sets in SMS messages.

I too was on CM12 and had the same issue. I suggest you to switch on [5.0.2] [DUAL-SIM] Resurrection Remix ® Lollipop. You will find no problem. Even the updates are frequently updated. Nice Rom and everything is working fine. You just gonna love it.

Thanks for the reply... But I don't think it will resolve the problem as I face this problem from cm11, rr Kitkat, cm12 all rom's even in Stock... Don't know why... But temporary solution to this is only wiping data...

You can use apps like Clean Master (Which delete the junk files) and Greenify (Which hibernate the running apps). Hope these apps will help you.
I have the same problem also. even when the device is at stock 4.2.2 its still laggy. i flashed touchwiz revolution v9 nothings changed.. :crying:
EDIT: I disabled Power Saving Mode and it lessens the lag.

Well, I experienced this kind of issue too. Now I have the 4.2.2 Original firmware and did some changes that made some difference. I went to Application manager > Downloaded and deactivated (or tried to) some of samsungs' bloatware, like samsung push, chaton, and some apps from google that I dont use, like google videos, google books, etc.
Well, this is not enough to prevent them to reinstall. You need to enter Play Store, select those apps, and uncheck auto-update (three dots at the right up corner).
Before I did this, a clear RAM never lower below 605 or 610 MB out of 804MB. After, a clear RAM reach as low as 395 MB out of 804 MB and my device got a little bit less laggy.
Maybe there are other apps that we can do such procedure.

yo kababayan, haha. i revert back to stock rom from cm12 bcoz of lag and some unstable features, i flashed the latest update NOV 2014 firmware from sammobile and its much faster now, i just disabled bloatwares and the features of stock rom is much more stable than cm12 though i understand its an alpha.

there's no lag on me, its smooth. the nov 2014 update was improved stability. so now its smooth.
my advice is disable unwanted or unused apps like, samsung app, samsung link, samsung account, chat on, all that is related to samsung app. i know girls download apps alot, my gf does, but she has an iphone so not a problem, and also download clean master for freeing ram, and greenify to save battery. :good::good::good:

Then Search how to flash thru odin, remember, after flashing thru odin your phone will going to bootloop, dont turn off, just hold vol up + home + power, wipe data and wipe cache then reboot. Done. The triangleAway.apk is safe, it didnt brick my phone.

Well every ROM or mobile starts getting laggy after some time and to remove that u can try reflashing the device as it removes all the OLD data fies that are not deleted by any cleaning softwares and that I have tried and am sure will remove the lag for again some time, but yeah if ur phone is older than 2 Years sometimes even this might not work as your processor gets old and hence gets slow with time....
Hit thanks if it helped
Hi everybody,
I am a new member here. I am from India.
First off, I admit that I know nothing about custom ROM and flashing (You can call me an idiot)
I have been using a LG Optimus G Pro F240L (Rooted and Unlocked) for past 1 & Half years.. I want to update it with Lollipop in the best and safest possible way. ..and I want LG's stock features too (Stock android apps are not that great. For example, dialer, contacts, messenger, alarm clock are far better in LG's stock apps). Some people say to use LG's stock Lollipop ROM ......while some say to use a ROM based on LG's Stock ROM. I don't know what's the difference among the two.
Detailed description About My Phone
Phone Type: It came as Rooted and Unlocked. I want to upgrade it from Jellybean (4.1.2) to Lollipop
My Location: India
GSM network being used: Vodafone India
I am not allowed to post external link as I am a new member here. So I can't upload screenshots to make it more understandable with my phone's specifications. Please tell me your email address and I will send them.
After you're done checking out all those screenshots, please guide me through a step-by-step process. I don't want to get screwed
A whole lot of thanks that you gave it some of your precious time
You could try flashing the Lollipop KDZ using the LG Flash Tool like I did. I should warn you, though. Lollipop can't be rooted.

Nobody ?
Nobody there to help me? :crying:
Thanks that you replied. I have a few questions.

Thanks that you replied. I have a few questions.
Is it for any LG G Pro F240L? I thought factors like "CPU version" and all are also to be taken into account to locate a suitable ROM.
Will that work in Indian basebands after update? I mean, do I have to encounter any signal drop out in Indian network?
What about the UI and apps in this update? Did you get LG's stock apps? Or its just stock android Lollipop version?
What did you mean when you said "Lollipop can't be rooted"? Did you mean any phone running a lollipop version of android can't be rooted at all? OR, it's the issue with this Lollipop ROM only?
How is the experience after this update? Anything bad happened so far? How is battery backup?
Can you please give me your mail ID so I can send you some screenshots? I think you can guide me better if you see them.

1. Just download kdz file for F240L.
2. It should work in India.
3. You will have all LG's apps and also many korean apps.
4. Some users said it could be rooted. Just try kingroot, iroot, vroot,...( I haven't tested on my F240L)
5. The battery life is average, about 3h30' -4h on-screen, not as good as kitkat.

1. I don't think it matters, I have the F240L myself, flashed the respective KDZ and the process went smoothly.
2. I'm pretty sure the network signals will stay the same for the most part. I'm from Pakistan and although I could make calls when I wanted, the signals were a bit inconsistent, as in, it would show no signals on rare occasion. Never had this problem with Kitkat.
3. Pretty much what irt118's post said. All the LG apps from the previous version stay, although updated with the nice new Material Design that makes it more appealing to look at and more satisfying to touch. Lots of Korean bloatware and pop-ups like on any previous ROM for this phone.
4. I should have clarified, only this Lollipop ROM can't be rooted. I've tried most of the mentioned methods (One-Click-Root, Kingo Root, KingRoot etc.) only to see that they had failed.
5. The update is in no way a shoddy one, however, it does have its flaws. My number one complain would be that there's no root method for it, ergo, all the Korean pop-ups and apps just jump in your face from time to time. Other than that, it's a bit slower than Kitkat, you just don't get the same smooth experience, the games see a few drop in frames, nothing horrible or too noticeable. It also heats up pretty quickly now. The battery drained very fast when I first updated it, but removing some of the bloatware and using Battery Doctor really changed the battery timing, in fact, this was the least of my bothers.
I'll add that everything else works the same, Wifi, NFC, Bluetooth and the like. The system apps have a very pleasing look to them and some apps also get better functionality. I'd really recommend not upgrading to this if your first priority is rooting the device. Upgrading to Kitkat would prove to be better in the end.
An update in Looks at the cost of Performance

It sounds like "an update in looks at the cost of performance". No I am not going to make my life miserable. Three of your points made my decision. Dimag ki batti jala di aap ne bhai. Salaam and thanks a lot
Is there any better version of it? Or has anybody else come up with anything which doesn't have these drawbacks?
Hi, Im An Lg GPro F240l user from Pakistan, I updated my OS from stock kitkat to stock lollipop and I have successfully rooted my phone through Kingroot PC software, since then my wifi sucks, it will drop after some minutes randomly, specially during video streaming or skype calls, then it will reconnect after 10-20 seconds, secondly wifi speed will suddenly decrease, e.g: it will show a download speed of 10-20 kbps while my other phones will show 500-800 kbps,so clearly lollipop update has done something strange with wifi, Any solution? Anyone?
Second thing Im struggling at is, doing CWM recovery, i tried a lot of things, used Freegee, Used CWM recovery. Apk, but i didn't get success, and i think lollipop update locked the bootloader, so my question is, Can anyone tell me a step by step method of how to do custom recovery on LG G pro F240l with a locked bootloader.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It's been almost a month since the mm has released for this device. Me being a d855 user was wondering that why there aren't any debloated, zip aligned and all those kinda feature added ROMs based on stock available yet. I mean when lollipop repressed we had hundreds of stock based ROMs which were much faster than the crappy slow stock by LG directly.
If there exists so and if I failed to see it, please let Me know.
If there are any specific reasons why not, please share as answer to this query.

There are you just need to know where to look >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-uniq-rom-d855-v30b-6-0-marshmallow-t3297726 << There are also a few on this site >> http://www.htcmania.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1464 << you will probably need to use google translate for that site.
Yes I agree there are not vast amounts like on lollipop but I think more are in the pipeline after all it's only been about a month since the update .

Hello to all,
I have the EMUI in my HUAWEI RIO-L01 (RIOL01C432B170) 3GB RAM 32 GB.
And , i wanted to ask is there any rom that can make better job especially in battery consumption , without any problems or bugs ?
Thanks!
The way I get around it is flashing the stock recovery back from fastboot every time I use TWRP. It's a pain but it works.

What does this have to do , with the question that i made ?
maan it depends. the stock rom is plenty good for the phone. 7.1.2 brings some new things and it will surely revitalize at least the impression of your device, and its a nice experience overall. phone works great on nougat.
it also has some disadvantages - camera will be worse in comparison to stock. battery life might be slightly lower too (not by much).
audio will be better and in my opinion your device will be smoother. its also a matter of aesthetic - emui vs aosp. also you can root your stock rom and put in some audio addons with magisk (i also played with substratum on stock, not worth it).
if you want to check out nougat, its worth it. just backup your stock rom and restore the backup if you don't like it. if you think nougat is boring and stupid, try it anyway because it only takes about half an hour to do all this stuff and go back to stock so don't be lazy. i'm amazed that this device is actually running on the latest android version, really grateful to the devs (surdu_petru, redbeard, allurba, and any other that i might forget right now) they are the real MVPs.
I CAN Not Update MM!
Please help me I can not update, I use lollipop mydevice riol02 (3gb Ram | 32gb Rom)
