Micromax a87 upgraded to ics 4.0

HELLO GUYS..! I HAVE A MICROMAX A87. CURRENTLY IT IS ON ANDROID 2.3.5(GINGERBREAD). I WANT TO UPGRADE ON ICS (4.0) BUT I ALREADY SEARCH ON INTERNET FOR ICS FILE, I DID'nt FOUND. SO IF ANYONE FOUND ICS FILE PLEASE PROVIDE ME LINK.

ther's no official update for a87 or a57, and i dont think micromax also think about the update,me too searching for cwm recoveries for mm a57 :S

It is not possible that official ICS rom will come nor the Xda developers will even try to make rom of this cell... so be happy with what u have..
but yes you can modify your cell.. Root your cell n then increase your Ram by adding up Virtual ram and enjoy..
Check my post i'll upload all r procedure in short time...

Hey sorry buddy but i think the xda developers has removed my thread which i had posted... so i can't help now follow the other thread for rooting more over you can watch video on youtube there you will find both for rooting as well as for swipe partition...

I think it will take time for a ICS ROM( not themed one) for MMX A87 , I am also waiting for someone to make it . . .

dont worry guys we have learned to increase our RAM,our internel memory new tweeks n many many mods if everyone keeps on helping with this speed we'll definitely be able to develop a ics rom for our handset real soon so cheer up...

try to do factory reset or check ur apn (internet) settings or try to update google play service and google play store thanx if i helped u

SPEED REBIRTH is the best ROM till date

I have flashed 4 custom roms till now on my canvas 4. I bet you Pranjal's rom is the best rom so far. What's more, it's still developing to become more awesome. One thing though, sound quality sucks big time. But its not the rom's problem as hardware support by micromax devices is pathetic you know. Even though I found revolution hd's sound quality to be the awesomest so far. still i believe in revolution hd you get just the audio better, its radio doesn't work properly, which includes wifi, bluetooth, radio.
So go with pranjal's rom, and development regarding the audio is going on. So mostly you'll receive an update soon enough.

I found MIUI rom best...good performance , great battery backup and so many free themes available. .you can mix and match components of different themes to customize your lock screen, status bar, icons etc

Thanks for the link bro... But there are too many zip files named like Sirius, Castor, Amami, Honami etc. which one i need to download.. i have c2004 xmd.

no issues but did u flash that ROM and tested it personally coz i did it and i found that the screenshots which he mentioned in that thread turned out to be false ,they are fake and the app to sd card feature is disabled .
Now plz visit the thread its been closed by the admin and the link to download ROM has been removed to due Kanging.
So its fake.

Hey there,
Even i use Sony Xperia M Dual C2004 and the other name for our mobile is "nicki" so download nicki supported ROM,
i suggest u to download FXP342 , its released recently and i am using FXP341.
Plz ping me if u need any help.

No Bro it doesnt have. None of the CM ROm's have app2sdcard support as far as i know, if there are for other models then soon they will appear for sony too.
And forgot to tell u another ROM. Ie. Unofficial Xperia for XMD. Search for it u"ll find it:angel::angel::good::good:

Look brother its difficult to choose because the unofficial Xperia is based on CM11 but the user interface is like Xperia Stock and u know very well about Cm11,its UI and everything
So if u want to install sumthing cool on ur phone which most of the phones dont have i.e. hybrid UI , i suggest u to go with this ROM or try CM11.
the only Problem with unofficial Xperia is the dialer bug , hope it is fixed or u can download alternate dialer from play store.
So try both ROM's and tell me which one u felt better:good::good:

as far as i know both are same , but i felt FXP builds are more stable than nightly , few people tld me that both are same.i dont know anything about who and how they develop.

Hi.. i successfully installed the cm11 dsds. It has been few hours now since i flashed.
So what i experience so far :
Sim 2 not work
Camera works after applying the patch but when the system try to save the picture it crash. is this something with write permission ??
Battery life is sooo much better then the stock rom.
No other issue found yet
One more thing i did try to switch to ART and whenever i want to install new app it says invalid package. So i switch back to dalvik it works.
btw fxp347 is out.. any1 tried with D5322?

did you set permissions right for patch? u cant install any fxp rom cause u ll semi brick your phone..there roms is only for d5303.. can you pleas post the screenshot of camera app on develpment thread..

Im gonna stick to STOCK ODEXED rom mate. Maybe in future i will make a DeODeXED one with s6 apps. thanks for the suggestion.

How did you install it?

Not loaded on kernel, which lies in the firmware also put kernel Stock OL1 - bootlogo continue the download process does not go! Put kernel voltage - cheers, started! why is that? Correct!

My rom has the stock stock kernel repacked with init.d support. Guys i need some feedback. Im using my rom right now in my s4. Does it work for you?
