G925t 32 gb or g925a 64gb - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Hello,
I have a doubt, Which is better, a G925T 32GB or G925A 64GB, I have both and I want to sell one, but i don't know which pick.
basically the decision its storage space or unlock bootloader
suggestions
Other thing its in the G925A, I use this phone in Colombia and for example programs like spottify don't work me with data, i need use a VPN apk and make a tunnel with USA, after that the program work with cellular data. i think its like a protection to don't use the cellular data out of USA.

unlock basic question

I just got the email from Tmo with my unlock code and unlocked the phone...what i want to know is i am rooted but just deleted boatware...i have not gone with a custom rom...if i start changing roms will it effect my unlock...would samsung firmware pushes effect it either?
You'll be fine. I've been unlocked since say one and have changed ROMs almost weekly without impacting my unlock. Once you're unlocked you're unlocked. Enjoy!

You are fine no matter what you do after unlock. What this is is it is telling the phone that it can use any SIM card [GSM] and it does nto have to be a Tmobile type and is stored in such a way changing anything else will not affect it [JUST DONT DELETE YOUR /EFS OR FORMAT INTERNAL USB STORAGE YOU ARE ASKING FOR INSTA-BRICK!!].
T-Mobile's policy is thus:
After 3 months of FULL bill pays after purchasing a phone [90 days in case someone buys in feb or counts exact days LoL] you may request a SIM Unlock code [NOT SAME AS ROOTING THE PHONE]
After that you can use the phone with ANY GSM SIM [as long as carrier in question supports your 4G freqs or you get what iPhones get on Tmo 2G and not 4G service].
SIM Unlocks are especially handy in several cases...
If you travel to another country and rent or purchase just a SIM card you dont have to pay intl call rates when calling
Your family uses ATT and you have Tmo and your family memeber broke their phone and would like to use their SIM in your phone to make calls on their number
You want to move to ATT but like the better CPU and GPU in the TMo Galaxy S2 and would like to keep the T989 [again you may or may not get 4G service but you could use 2G and make calls no problem]
Otherwise unlocking your SIM is not a HUGE deal [unless above scenarios are what you are after]
Most Newbs confuse a SIM unlock with Rooting their phones
ROOTING: Basically logs you in as an admin account when phone boots instead of a restricted User account
SIM UNLOCKING allows you to use another GSM service with your TMobile phone and/or allows you to purchase Foreign Country SIM Cards and make local calls when travelling in that country [again you may or may not [most likely NOT] get 4G but you would get 2G data and could make calls no problem.

looking for prepaid by data sim card for mifi box

Hey everyone! If this is not the right section please move it to the correct section. Anyways, I'm looking for a Sim card for my mifi unlocked any-carrier box but here's what I want exactly:
I want a plan where I buy airtime cards by data not time e.g. I buy a 1gb card that lasts til I use all the data
I want the data to roll over to next month
Is there some sort of plan that has this? I looked into some of the popular carriers such as att verizon and h2o but the only plan I'm really seeing involves some sort of time e.g 200 mb that has to be used in 5 hrs. thanks
Micro
Any suggestions guys? Should I move this to a different forum? Do you not get what I'm asking?
gud informative,,,i need one
Hey guys still looking, please advise!
For what country are you looking for?
For UK, USA, in spain the more cheap is symio in prepaid for 3,99€ 100mb and calls at 0,05 cts.

Tathering and phone with contract.

Hi,
I am going to upgrade my phone with my network provider.
They want extra money for tathering.
But I had other Samsung phone with their data plan and I can do it easy (so they don't know).
That phone is unlocked and has not their Android.
So I wondering it will be enough to only install some widget or app like router or will I have to flash that ROM.
It is that mobile (of course no model name because it's not important to majority, ehhh..):

[Q] Is ther a noticeable difference between the 2GB vs 3GB RAM version?

I'm with AT&T and from looking at the variant spec sheet tread it's looking like AT&T will only be offering the 2 GB RAM /16 GB storage model. (I know it's not certain till it's actually available but knowing AT&T it's probably true). I don't really care that the 2/16 model only has 16gig internal storage since there is expandable storage but will there be a noticeable difference in performance between the 2g RAM vs. the 3g RAM. From some youtube reviews some say there is no real noticeable difference. Would just like some opinions to help me decide.
And since the Spec sheet also mentions that T-mobile will probably have the 3/32 version, will the T-mobile LTE bands work without a hitch with AT&T. I would consider buying the phone outright from T-mobile and use on AT&T. And if I did buy the phone with cash would there be an option to get it unlocked for US versions.
And third, does anyone know if T-mobile is less of a pain in the ass about locking the bootloader if it was purchased on contract, It would be worth switching carriers for that.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply.

The performance difference between 2 and 3GB RAM is marginal in every day use, from what i read its only 3-5%. Look here too http://www.mobilegeeks.com/lg-g3-2gb-vs-3gb-ram-performance-showdown-video/.
About 1GB!
There's probably no noticeable difference as Android handles memory management very well on its own, and will keep open apps in the background until it runs out of memory, then will start to close them without you noticing anything.
The 3GB version can probably keep more apps open in the background, but 2GB is well enough for normal use I'd say.

Importing S7 active to Europe

Dear xda
First off, I absolutely love the concept of this phone: strong, big battery, great hardware,... and I dont really mind touchzwiz (the way it is now).
I'm wondering if it interesting to import the s7 active to Europe or not. As far as my research goes, this is what i found out:
at&t has an unlock service via their website
íll have to pay import duty and VAT (is this also the case if I purchase a "used" phone?)
at&t's s7 active supports all bands, so no problem there
at&t has some bloatware which shouldn't be to much of a problem to remove
updates will suck big time, unless we get root and we update the rom ourselves.
If anyone has info about Samsung introducing the s7 active to Europe, please let me know.
Wondering this myself
Yes it will work. Relatives just went to Europe with 3 S7 Actives we got att to unlock as they were bought outright. Work fine on Wind and Cosmote carriers, and will be sold to friends before they return.
Package Disabler Pro works to disable samsung and att updates and bloatware without root.
Those 3 Actives will pay for mine; sometimes carrier exclusivity is a great thing.
Wondering about the import duty and VAT if I import a used phone.
Anybody know?
There's plenty of post on what to disable manually so no need to pay for an app as it does the same thing. If it's convenience you want then the app will help but there's plenty of post for all provider variants of Samsung phones on xda and reddit.
Import duty and taxes will always have to be paid. If you buy second hand make sure a proof of purchase is included otherwise they will charge the tax of a new phone. You can get a friend to take one home with him/her and they will not pay.
I've bought the S7 Active this week in Switzerland. The phone was unlocked already. Inserted the SIM card from my local provider Swisscom and it works perfect.
Only what I do miss: no BT SAP support.
Hiow did you manage that? Where/who did you buy it from?

No option to do software update with s7 active.
Hi anyone know how to get ota updates on the s7 active in the UK?
You don't. Updates need to be flashed from the sd card or with a computer via odin.
Hello
I've about the same questions for an use in France : how difficult is it, once received (supposively an ATT one unlocked), to update up to last android version oreo and is there a loss of functionnalities if not used in USA..?
Thanks in advance
Julien
I use it regulate in Italy (un-lock of course) Oreo 8.0 G891AUCS4CRG3, I'm looking for a way to improve reception, perhaps replacing the modem software with another modem software
Hello
Thanks @Matad1974 for your reply, so it's possible to use it in Europe without too much difficulties and loss of functions..? Which method did you used (OTA/KiES/Odin) ?
About reception isn't it because there are bands missing..? I've read somewhere using code #*#*4636*#*# you can choose bands, have you try ?
Thanks in advance
Julien
Hello, I bought it directly from the United States already unlocked, it works well, but the reception is a bit poor sometimes, where before with the same card took good, and when I talk to someone my voice sometimes is not very understandable .. because of this maybe changing the modem maybe it gets better.
With this code #*#*4636*#*# it does not do anything to me
I took a ride on the internet and I found this code, I try various settings code *#2263#
I can recommend it for european users as well. You lose some of the newest features I think, like Wifi calling.
Updating is pretty simple but a little inconvenient since the update does wipe all your data. There is a thread in this forum that can help you.
Also you should only buy from a thrustworthy seller, but that's just common sense.
(Changing bands can also be done with an app, for example "Network Switch")
