Facebook S! - Samsung's Facebook Application

Today I was surprised to find a pretty cool addition to the store in the form of Facebook For Samsung or Facebook S! Apparently Samsung's isn't too happy with the current iteration of 'Facebook for Android' and decided to offer something better for its users. I found the app on the Galaxy S and am not sure if Samsung's other Android devices have also been blessed with this update.
I already have Facebook for Android installed and did not have to sign into the Facebook S! app after I downloaded and installed it. The major draw of the application is Samsung's location integration which lets you tag your status with your location either using GPS or by picking a location on a map.
A bunch of screenshots and a run down of the other features is here.

[SOLVED] HTC Sense Facebook sync to CM6.1.1

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted or thought about this. The one thing I like about Sense that I have found irreplaceable in non-sense roms is the facebook sync which downloads high-res contact photos as opposed to the low quality blurry ones the official facebook app downloads. Sense also downloads your own profile picture. Now, maybe this is a crazy request but does anyone thing it may be possible to install just the facebook sync from Sense on a rom like CyanogenMod6.1.1? I would think it may require a bit of modifying to get it to run on a non-native rom.
The alternative will be to find some PC/Mac app that downloads contact pictures and syncs with gmail.
I have no ideas about what you are proposing,.... but you could give this a shot, never used it myself so give us some feedback if you try it boss.
http://heartofangel.com/google-contact-sync/
It worked like a charm.
I was reluctant to try a desktop app because I'd have to install windows again to my Mac but it was well worth it. It allows you to select matches manually if auto-detect doesn't get it right (it's gets about 90% of them). And best of all, you get much higher resolution photos. Go back to the application once a week to update photos with one click. I highly recommend this, they just need to port it to Mac!
Excellent. I'll be doing the same later today.
If you don't mind can you just edit your thread title (edit 1st post,... go advanced,... change title) and just add [SOLVED] to the start of it. Nice one.

-MyStory
let's you send digital poster cards to your friends (didn't try that one yet)
-S Baro
a barometer which shows you the current altitude of your phone
-MiniDiary
little diary tool which lets you take a picture, add a note on it, saves the date and geotag so after your vacation you have a neat litte album of photos and descriptions with photos... really nice
-Family Story
kind of a social network only for your family to share pics and stuff
-Photo Editor
lets you edit the photos you have taken.

What is S Baro btw? and where to get it from?
---------- Post added at 12:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:55 AM ----------
thanks. Got all the apps in Samsung Apps store
Guys can some one upload Photo Editor?
I don't have other services in my app drawer and couldn't find s-baro in samsung apps?
Likewise no Other services Icon.
Mini Diary and Fliboard both stock .
SAMSUNG APPS ICON is what is required to access these app downloads .
jje
I can find no s-baro in there, is the name correct? I tried just going through all the S's as there is not that many and did not find it.
S Baro
I also want to know what S Baro app is and where I can get it ... Please ;-)
I have the other services icon
and...
Baro is a barrometer. it seems that sgs3 has a digital barometer.this app gives you that reading, checks the weather forecast for where you are and gives you your altitude based on the forecast information. It's as harmless as it is useless. A barometer widget would have been better.
Kies cast looked really good on first inspection. as a long time google listen user I quite fancied the fresher ui. on a second inspection the ui is not as well organised, you have to long click and then press display to get to a particular podcasts info. in addition its got a samsung add banner flashing along the bottom. not good happy at all samsung.
not bothered looked at the others yet. anybody else care to pitch in?

and flipboard is great of course. seems lots faster than pulse and very intuitive interface

You will also get the system dump and other goodies. If you want any single app, let me know.
I don't see the s-baro in any of those dl's. Anyone have a link to it?
An application / program monitor similar to the one found on the s2 has now appeared in the more services link

strange but im missing the dandelion wallpaper after i flashed netherlands firmware
Guys
All these apps under Samsung More Services Apps
I found them under More Services.
I use the barometer feature on my G-shock watch a bit as has a graph that shows recent pressure history. If it drops rapidly in a short period, like an hour or so, itr means rain is likely. That is useful to me.
Of course, if you move around a bit or are in a car it will not be accurate. It uses gps positioning as well to work out your height but I am not sure how well this will integrate, as small height differences or errors can greatly effect the result.
Nevertheless it looks good and I will keep an eye on it compared to the G-shock, which in relative terms is pretty good at predicting rain.
I dont have the music hub

Polaris Office anyone?
Has anyone found the full Polaris Office app yet?
The bundled Polaris Viewer app displays a message on start-up stating that the full-blown Polaris Office can be found in 'More Services' on Samsung phones.
I've got Kies Cast and all the other apps mentioned on this thread from More Services but no Polaris Office

[Q] Drawing on TIFF apps

I am in need of a good drawing application for work. I currently view my blueprints as TIFF files but every app i have found freaks out or can not even open the files. the stock picture viewer on my collegues ipad opens them perfectly.
I want to be able to add layers with the normal freehand, line, box and text options. Every app i have tried seems to be ment for children or is totally useless.
Anybody know a decent app? An ideal solution would be the Gimp but its not on droid.

[Q] Do you know any chat widgets that can be embedded in my live show?

Do you know a chat widget that can be added to my live show? Has anybody tried RumbleTalk or ChatCat? I want to add a chat widget to my new website but need some help with recommendation on what is best to use

Chatwing is good many features , customize every aspect, embed into any web page, social login options, moderator controls, ban users. I integrate Chatwing chat room service to provide interactive element for my website - I highly recommend this.
Chat widgets for live shows and online events

It's important to be sure that the choosen chat solution can be embedded as a chat box (shoutbox).
Anyway, try Chatwee. Here is an article which should put some light on the must-have features:
blog.chatwee.com/2015/05/chat-room-for-live-streaming-sites when organizing live events.
I hope this helps!
Hi guys! Well I found something good on my own. Tried over 20 of them on the way.
After I tested like 20 of them I realized that none is as good as Rumbletalk is.
Why I like Rumbletalk? I can upload youtube videos, charts, works nice on phones, it is not a resourse hog and it is a safe application unlike many others chat application out there. You can also manage the design just as much as you want.
It really is the best html chat room application as I heard many times on the internet.
Well thanks for sharing but I wasn't satisfied with them at all. On the other hand Rumbletalk works really well. If any of you need help with instaling it or any other question about it you are free to send me a PM.
