(q) d85110c - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought my phone from a store in the mall. I have the t-mobile LG g3 but it's unlocked to be used on at&t. It'd on 4.4.2 (latest version)
I need help on figuring out how to root it. There are several ways that say are patched now. Is there just no hope for this phone anymore?

[Q] Permanently locked LG G2

Yesterday i got my lg g2 from ebay. I spent several hours researching how to root my phone, install custom recovery and a custom rom. Eventually I succeeded. feeling proud of my 'accomplishment' (as it was my first time) i went to bed. only to find out that my phone is permanently locked when trying to unlock it!!! I googled for answers, but I couldnt find one. My LG G2 is D802 int variant. running 4.4.2 with cloudyG3 1.3 ROM. Is there a workaround for this issue? I'd like to emphasise the fact that this phone is PERMANENTLY locked so please dont suggest to buy an unlock code. thank you

Trying to upgrade Verizon G3 with T-Mobile SIM to Marshmallow

Hello,
I acquired a Verizon G3 as a gift a while back (weird story) but my primary phone has been a GSM Nexus 5 and I have been on T-Mobile service for a couple years now. I used the G3 as a second phone/tablet by just connecting to WiFi and using it for a camera/games/music device. My beloved Nexus 5 has become less reliable and I thought I would just switch to the G3 as my primary phone. I put my T-Mobile SIM card in the G3, manually entered the APN, and to my surprise, I connected to T-Mobile LTE immediately! Awesome! Now, the only thing keeping me from being satisfied with this device is that it is still running 4.4.2. I guess it never got an OTA simply because it never connected to the verizon network.
So my question is, is there a way to get the long-awaited OTA from T-Mobile or is it not compatible? Is my only option to root the phone and flash Marshmallow?
I appreciate the help!

There is no Marshmallow for the VS985 yet. 5.1.1 (35B) was rolled out a week or so ago. If it's flashed stock, it cannot be rooted, but there are pre-rooted custom roms available. Easiest way to go about it would be to KDZ flash back to 10B, root using stumproot, flash TWRP, and then install a 35B pre-rooted custom roms via recovery.
Check the Verizon LG G3 forum for more info.

[Q] Need help finding a stock firmware.

Hello, I bought a LG G3 . Model : LG-D851TN from Aaron's today on sale. It's an unlocked from t-mobile but it did not have tmobile bloatware. No t-mobile logo boot up screen and no apps or any trace of tmobile on it. It was still running D85110C and would not update to 5.0.1. So I used the KDZ from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667 and now I have all the bloatware. Does anyone have the stock KDZ of this firmware or know where I can find one. without the bloatware without rooting. Thanks
try the cloudy rom.

Viaero Wireless?

I'm not new to roms and rooting but recently I bought an LG G3 on ebay. The phone model says it was an unlocked d851. I know it's the T-Mobile variant and it even says it's D851 on the system settings. It is currently on kitkat 4.4.2. The point is, I want to flash the Lollipop kdz for the T-Mobile variant but whenever I power the phone on, I get the Viaero Wireless bootloader and the phone does not have any T-Mobile apps whatsoever. Any suggestions on what I can do in this situation? Any help would be highly appreciated
I have the same problem
Did you find a solution to this issue? I'm currently expeciencing the same problem. The phone wont uograde from 4.4.2 kitkat

---Help Needed--- AT&T LG G4 Bootloader unlocking with AntiRollback v3

Hey everyone! About a year ago I bought an AT&T LG G4 of of ebay with the intent of using it as a daily-driver phone. The seller listed it as Unlocked, and only mentioned the model number at the bottom of the page. I didn't look at that first, so I ended up with an AT&T G4.
It's unlocked, so I can use any sim with it, but the amount of AT&T bloatware on it is INSANE. So I used it as a primary phone for a few months, but than ended up shelving it, and using it a secondary, playarround phone.
And now as I'm not using it, I'm looking for a methood to unlock the bootloader and get rid of the AT&T bloatware. So today I looked arround and found out that the AT&T G4 was indeed unlockable but, you need to have AntiRollback V2 or lower. But my phone has AntiRollback V3. Is there any methood you can unlock an AT&T G4 with AntiRollback V3?
If I lose the simcard funcionality it doesn't matter. I just want to get rid of the bloatware, and update to a never version of android.
Any help would be appriciated.
