Hey dudes,
accidentially i formatted /system in f2fs, TWRP crashed and since then its gone.
gyazo.c o m/d977dd6dfe5d4e2f78f10ac2f0695609
Thats the output of the fstab file
I see no way how to restore partitions, just for SD card, someone knows what to do?

TWRP / Wipe / Advanced Wipe / Format Data
Reboot Recovery
Flash a Rom
If that doesn't work you'll need a RUU.zip
rename the RUU.zip to 0PJAIMG.ZIP, place it on a ext sd card formatted in FAT32 (a 16 or 32gig one should work), reboot into DOWNLOAD_MODE, agree and it should flash.
I tried to install a RUU but i have not renamed it to 0PJAIMG and pushed it on the device
anyway, i got help by the #twrp IRC channel, i formatted the /system partition with ext4 via adb again, because it was emmc (there was no filesystem on it) and not f2fs.

I had been trying to install the new oxygen 2.0.1 with and the data2whatever scripts and also tried to reformat my sd card to increase from 512 to 1024mb.
from what ive read i may have somewhoe reformatted my internal sd ext or did something to it.
I followed one fix found from hereHere
but that didnt help it made another problem which is: cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0p1) I/O error
error mounting /sdcard/.android-secure!
does anyone else know a link for a fix or how to fix the sd-ext on the internal storage?
Please please help
Thanks
CWM messed up mine, so that's why I never use Recoveries to do this job.
I fixed it using GParted. Deleted both partitions, created new ones and aligned both.
No problem ever since.

Hey thanks for the reply, can you explain a little more.
you deleted the mmcblk0p2 directory and created new ones?
Did you do that in adb with parted?
if not how did you go about with it?
Thank you
I booted GParted from my usb stick, and the phone was in recovery mode, where I mounted the SD Card (Advanced - Mount USB Storage).
Gparted recognized it as dev/sdb0 (I think) and showed to partitions.
Removed them both (showed 15 GB Unallocated space*) and created the 1GB Ext4 and then the Rest FAT32.
*=16GB is 15 GB usable space (just in case ).

Yeah thanks. I figured out how to do the sd card but i think my problem is the actual sd-ext folder in the system partition on the phone.
E:cant mount /dev/block/mmcblck0p2 (file exists) error mounting /sd-ext/!
ANy one else have any other suggestions??
im getting desperate
SOLVED
I finally solved this. the problem was that somehow i dont know but
when i made the ext 3 partition it was extened, so obviously recovery couldnt mount it so that was the problem.
I fixed it by following this guys thread Here using parted and the shell to format and partition my sd card
So relieved i fixed this.
Same problem was in my desire.however, solved by install RUU ROM to remove the root then I root again the problem solved.
Hi there,
I was about to flash a new rom on my Dinc, and right after I formatted /system, the sdcard became unable to mount and now I can't access the .zip for the new rom. I've tried flashing 3 versions of CWM as well as one of TWRP but none of them can access my SD card. I also reformatted it in my PC with no success. I currently don't have any operating system on it so all I can work with is hboot and recovery.
Can anyone help me fix this?

Did you format it fat32 with the pc? If the cards fine (can be used by pc and fat32) and recovery and hboot still cant find it, then id venture to say the sdcard slot is damaged or went out.
Using adb in recovery, you should be able to push a rom file to emmc and flash it from there.

I did format it FAT32, and the SD card is definitely fine. I don't think that the slot is the problem either because other things won't mount either.
Actually the only thing I can mount in recovery is /system, everything else is inaccessible. It was having mounting problems before which is why I decided to flash it with a new rom (was running Jellybean very poorly). I also tried flashing the original recovery, doing "clear storage" that way, and reflashing with CWM but it had no effect. During the storage wipe it said that /datadata doesn't even exist. It also shows errors that it can't mount the files /dev/block/mmcblk01 and /dev/blk/mmcblk0p2
This is what the log shows when I did the CLEAR STORAGE using the stock recovery
Restore factory NV setting...
Formatting DATA:...
E: format_root_device: can't find mtd partition "datadata"
Formatting EMMC:...
Formatting CACHE:...
Wipe ALL failed.
E:Can't mount DATADATA:recovery/log
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (or /dev/block/mmcblk1)

The same thing happened to me long back. What I did was that I cleared data, cache, and dalvik cache... Worked for me... You can try but i wont take any responsibility

Hello,
My first gen Kindle Fire has been setup in the OtterX format and has been running well on the CM STG7 ROM. I decided to update to the latest version last week and since then, my OtterX has not recognized the SDCard.
TWRP does see the SDcard and will view it's contents when browsing the file manager, but it won't mount the SDcard to my computer desktop. Nothing happens when I click the mount button.
When the OtterX boots, the System > Storage sees the SDcard and contents, but when I try to browse to it with a file manager, it says the path is invalid.
ADB shell sees the /sdcard/ directory and I can browse it from the shell as well.
I've tried formatting the entire device, including wiping the internal storage and formatting data (where you have to type in "yes") and nothing has resolved this issue.
Any idea what's going on?
I have had similar problem, rebooting a couple of this times seemed to fix.
But may need to reformat in twrp or do otter x partitions in bootloader

I'll try reformatting again.
My partitions became corrupted a couple years ago and I had to rebuild them manually, following a tutorial. OtterX partitions in the bootloader doesn't work on my device. I'm guessing it's because the partitions are spot-on with the sizing.
Do you know of a way to rebuild the partitions manually so they match the stock specs - maybe that way the bootloader partitioning would work?
Just restore amazon partitions in bootloader, reboot, restore otter x partitions.

Bingo! That seemed to fix it. CM11 is seeing the SDcard just fine now. Thank you!

For some reason after trying a different ROM (can't remember which one), I lost my SD card again and I can't seem to get it back. I even reverted the bootloader to FFF and did the "OEM Format", then followed the steps back to OtterX.
Attached is my partition table. I don't see a 'media' table, which is the SDcard, correct?
Any idea what else to do?
Otterx utilizes space that was already there, but reserved for the system. In order to better use available space for user data, the storage is placed elsewhere on the tree. The sd card should be located under storage on the otterx tree.

The strange thing is TWRP sees and accesses the SD card just fine.
I have a feeling the SD card isn't formatted in the correct format. Any idea how to format (or check/change format type) of the SD card through ADB?
Did you try the Repair file system in TWRP?
In OtterX Twrp 2.7.1.0 not 2.7.0.1
Wipe>advanced wipe
check data>current file system should be f2fs
tap Repair or change file system if you want to change back to ext4

Just checked the partitions with TWRP 2.7.1.0...
Dalvik Cache - Invalid partition selection
Data - f2fs
Internal Storage - Invalid partition selection
Cache - f2fs
System - ext4
I then formatted data as ext4 and the ROM still doesn't see the SD partition.

Yup! Didn't seem to fix the issue.
Is there a way to put the Kindle back to 100% factory specs, like SBF for the Droid X or Odin for Galaxy S3?
VZW SGSIII
Is this what you used to re-partition the system, data, and cache partitions?
[HOW TO] Fix "Failure to mount" sdcard, system, data or cache
Hi guys, I was trying to partitionate my sdcard to get a bigger /data space.
After a try, I decided to get me Sdcard back to previous state...
0.mounted usb to my pc.
1. formatted in fat32 format, as primary type with "minitool partition wizard ..."
3. umount and restart the phone, surprised my partition cannot be mounted yet and it's not recognized on my system.
So... Here comes the dispair... I erased all my phone stuff, format and delete all sort of things but /sdcard cannot be mounted...
After that I'm charging the phone right now on recovery mode, later I'm gonna try to install Ruu but I don't have the latest, only the previous... Is that any problem??
Tks guys!!

Hi Everyone,
I want to format my internal sd to ext4, at some extent I was successful in doing so, as I used mke2fs command to format internal sd, and it work fine while I was in TWRP recovery, partition format shown ext4 there as checked by cat /proc/mounts.
But the problem starts when booted to OS, there was a notification at fastlane saying "your internal memory is damaged and needs to be formatted again". so after many failed attempts I again formatted the partition with vfat, this there were no issues on booting to OS.
Can someone help me got it working, I am on stock Nokia X rom.
Thanks
