Guys been tempted to purchase the N1 ,I do really like the aspect format and build quality seems good to but still haven't decided..... Will this tablet be supported from the android ROM community?
Now that root is available will we see ROMs availability anytime soon? What do you think .
Thanx
I suggest no
Until one could find out the Taiwan version IMAGE file so that you can flash the full version of GOOGLE PLAY SERVICE FRAMEWORKS. Otherwise, it's not working properly.
I would aspect that Nokia will release it the taiwan IMG file or someone would make a backup with custom recovery to share?

Hi all,
I'm an indie game developer from Finland and I just released my 2nd Android game on Android, including Nokia X. The problem is that I do not have a Nokia X phone to test on (I do own other Android devices). Could someone help me and download a game called Super Line Rush and tell me if it is working ok or not?
I know this sounds a bit odd but unfortunately Nokia X devices are not available in Finland at the moment.
Working well on AOSP Vanilla ROM
Someone else maybe can test it on Stock ROM
Share the apk for those who don't have playstore flashed on their stock ROM

Nice! Thank you so much for testing the game.
Is Super Line Rush available also on Nokia X Store on your phone? To my knowledge Nokia doesn't offer a web interface for browsing the store.
I don't have Nokia Store on AOSP custom ROM, only on the stock ROM.
And I don't think it should be there without your permission.

Actually, it should be on the official Nokia X Store since I have added it there myself. The online link is possibly http://store.ovi.com/content/541740 but I just get "Sorry, this item is not available for your country." message when I go to that page.
I found this website: http://www.needrom.com/category/huawei/other-sub-huawei/
It seems to have custom ROMs for our tablet!

did anyone ever successfully download a ROM from that site? It looks very fishy to me.

This site is proper: I have downloaded more than 1 ROM for other tablets and installed them and they worked successfully.
I also download rom from that site

The only ROMs on that site for our device are stock by the look of it. Would be nice to have a pure Android or CM ROM that's for sure.
Yes, a pure Android or CM ROM (Android 6.0.1) would be so nice...
Very true so why aint there even 1 custom rom?
because...omg what is this crap I bought! It's one of the most regretful things I did in my life

I totally agree the worst thing I did...
I really like this tabelt for what it is in premium edition. No lack of power for all jobs that are to be done with it and some light gaming. Custom ROMs aren't there, that's true, but honesty: what do you need a custom ROM for on this specific tablet? For me - and I'm a flashaholic as well - all has been there from the start. No need to flash any custom ROMs at all. Only thing I'm missing is the lack of updates regarding, at least, Marshmallow. Huawei definitely has to catch up-to other manufacturers regarding this special aspect. Just my 2 cent.

I don't regret byuing this device, all works great and theres enough power to get things done. Marshmallow would be great, with doze. Let's wait and see will we get that someday. I asked huawei about that update, but theirs answer was that they don't know will they update. Cm would be great alternative.
I have had this device for two days now, the Premium version and i just love it, perfect size in my opinio, and big plus is the u can make calls and sms with it hope to get the android 6.0 some day
Although I found this today, its one of those ad deals you have to do first before you can download. So not sure if you want to do it or not.
Guys i just found a custom rom for Android 7.0 for our tablets Android 7.0

So I just found a Lineage 14 Rom for the P8 Lite, (Has same chipset as our phone). How possible would it be to port that rom to our phone? It would be us going to an unofficial Android 7.1.1.
Hi everyone, I installed StageFright detector from Zimperium to realise it contains 33 High and 17 Critical (!!!) vurnerabilities.
Stock EUR ROM, latest security patch is from January, newer is not available.
WTH to do with it? I mean... wow... that's too terrible to be true...
Welcome in reality my friend
But serious: hardware vendors like Samsung or LG are not very fast in patching or updating their firmwares. When you want to have a more current firmware your best choice is using a custom ROM.
The best example is the current situation: you're using latest stock rom and having such a bad scan result ( seems strange to me but you could attach a screenshot maybe ?). I use Ressurection Remix ROM a custom ROM based on CM 13 so Marshmallow.
The result of my stagefright scan is shown in the attached screen . The same is when using the Android VTS tool which scans more then stagefright issues only --> no security issues.
So it is your own decision if you want to wait for the vendor patches or if you want to risk your warranty by using a custom rom...

Hi, thanks for answer Yp I used custom ROMs for all my previous devices, great thing
For me it is really important to have secure device, so I think I will try it.
I would do it before, but another crucial thing is to have that great G4 (and v10) camera apps with RAW shooting etc. , so I presume it will be really hard to find ROM that supports shooting to DNG, that is secure too.
Btw I was talking about it with LG support and they denied fact, that they promised monthly patching So another company of liers.
P.S. adding a screenshot is not possible through computer, because MTP in Ubuntu is quite unreliable with LG G4 (no problems with Nexuses, Xperias etc.)
EDIT:
Your best bet is to use lgup and flash a newer official kdz (this can be done without losing your data0
or
Root and flash a stock based rom
LG updates have been abysmal and even carriers are pushing updates faster than Official LG
Hhmm, maybe things are about to change?
http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-e...ecurity-bulletin-for-monthly-android-updates/
That sounds very promising BUT it will be for their current flagships(!) only. If you want to stay save that means you need to buy a new Smartphone . Well the news are better then nothing but it can be a start only. I hope that more vendors will follow this way and start to provide updates not for their flagships only and that also for a reasonable time ( at least 2 years).

You have to flash supersu yourself, since i couldn't get it to reliably stick. 2.62 worked for me.
I'm unsure about the sensor firmware (for working LED), you may or may not have to flash it again.
I had busybox in /system/xbin, but again, unsure if it sticks.
Short howto:
- Have TWRP recovery, backup was made and tested with 3.0.2-r3
- download rar file off mega, extract somewhere, obtain folder "MPD24.107-70"
- copy said folder into your Moto X Play /TWRP/BACKUPS/{DEVICECODE}/ folder, you can do this while in TWRP
- use RESTORE, select the MPD24.107-70 you just copied in
- do a factory reset just to be on the safe side
- if your Moto X Play hangs on first reboot, force-restart it (hold power), it works for me on second try
Supported Reliance Jio VoLTE
any new atock rom cm 13 can Supported Reliance Jio VoLTE
plz upload

Thanks for your work, @AtomicStryker! I'm curious to try it out.
But first, I'd like to know, would installing this ROM as described in the OP also flash over the baseband?
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
I'm not sure. But if the point of MPD24.107-70 is security updates and this VoLTE something, wouldn't you WANT the current modem?
Perhaps. Will try to install the ROM tomorrow and report back soon.

I need a TWRP flashable zip file
Not a TWRP restore a backup file.
Is that possible?
Thanks.

Check this

I used this ROM for about 5 days. It was ok, but my signal was for some reason weak. Perhaps it's more suitable for Asian devices than for my European XT1562. It could also be even more debloated. All in all, it's a fine piece of work and could serve as a solid daily driver.
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
Out of interest, did you check your baseband version? That would answer whether or not that is included
Yes, I've determined that the baseband doesn't get updated by flashing your ROM. My phone remained with the M8936_2020632.44.03.21.57R EMEA baseband which, apparently, didn't get along with the ROM well. Hope this helps.

It's good to know in any case, thanks.
No worries. Thanks for your work, @AtomicStryker!
I meant what I said - the ROM is already a solid daily driver and I believe you can make it even better.
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
I am using it as daily driver, however i must have broken something with the camera. I get random force closes, which is especially annoying when i try to record a video longer than a couple seconds. Since the other MPD24.107-70 rom here also has issues reported im considering to just use the stock setup ... back when i used stock the moto apps would announce themselves once and then not do anything, so that should be fine. That being said, reaching 5 days of mostly idle time on a single charge is amazing.

any chance to update to new flashable rom with January update?
I am looking for a file : lg-h815_29a_modem_and_20p_bootloader.zip
It was listed by "kessaras" on Androidfilehost, however no mirror found to file.
Could somebody who has it willing to share ?
Thank You !
Tried many more time to dl from Androidfilehost....finally a mirror from Virginia showed up.....I have the file now.
Thanks!
Mixing the modem version with a diff version of bootloader makes no sense. I would not recommend doing that and better keep modem and bootloader at the same version. Besides that 29a is a beta which never got released officially for some reason. Up to u if you wanna trust that kind of stuff.
Thanks for your advise.I have just recently installed LG-815-H-ROM_v30-Port on usu-d H812.So far very solid, even H-Settings mod is working. It is a Nougat, unrooted & modded factory ROM ,can not use any custom ROM, because some apps (banking, etc...) would not run.
